Prior to reading those quotes from Amann, I didn't fancy myself as being particularly hard to please with regard to the wedding. I'd wanted them to spend more than 45 seconds on it, and I didn't want it to be an off-the-cuff, impromptu affair in the precinct (I figured Scott Paulin's presence was a good sign for the latter), but other than that, I was mostly good.
But reading that they considered a big ceremony and then decided against it, I find myself somewhat wary, and even kind of preemptively wistful. I suddenly realized that I really do want a beautiful ceremony for Castle and Beckett. It doesn't have to be big, but I want it to be special. I want it to feel like a real wedding ceremony and not just a capper to a day of adventure. "Castle's rush to the altar" doesn't sound so great in that regard. But I do think Terri is capable of delivering romantic moments, and I really, really hope she does here. Hopefully the writing staff were properly cognizant of viewers' expectations when making decisions on this moment. They can't please everyone, but I think the characters deserve something wonderful.
