Mojoween, you just reminded me of something I never got around to posting. However, I think he'll be okay whether that's the case next year or going forward. Similar to a lot of stuff, I have changed my mind in terms of a trip to the Buckeye State for Julian Edelman. I had my reasons, but while I still do, I don't think it's an issue anymore

Too bad Tepper is worse than Haslam. At least the latter took over a dumpster fire which aren't as bad I guess. Carolina was actually good before David replaced Richardson
-
Both. The matchup against the same 2 teams in the 2022 Calendar year at Arrowhead was North of 40 Million. The Taylor Swift effect helped get the total over 50 Million, but without it, the game was expected to do well. Probably 45 Million but big ratings have been a thing in a sport were there's more interest in discussion for a schedule release than a hoops game with team coached by a guy that blew at least a quarter dozen 3-1 series leads

Nothing beats what happened in Cleveland 8 years ago. Speaking of nothing, that's what happens when you boot Jeff and Mark from a team that actually didn't need to move on from Mike. Though Doris can do well without Doc calling a big game

Most ever in the history of the Divisional Round. Those are Dallas and/or Conference Championship Numbers!

For quite awhile, I used to feel the same way when people diss my team. Not anymore. Two of the main reasons is due to the fact that they aren't that great, and most important: it's not directed at me. It's about the team and the fans as characters. I'm okay with that

I'll have to get to autumn of 2024 at the earliest to have my (awful) wish of a head coach getting fired after the team he coached gets to 14-0
-
I can see you doing that, and I don't think you'd stop there. If you just simply throw something 1: I don't know what you did after Super Bowl XXX. Or the 2 that preceded the one that preceded XXX. And 2: Nothing's topping this reaction over the outcome of another football game

To the Ravens haters: if it makes you feel any better, maybe a re-watch of the 2014 AFC Divisional Playoff Game will...oh nevermind

Or beat his wife in an elevator. Or became a suspect whose DUI charge killed someone. Any given Sunday. What bluegirl147 said. Also, Indianapolis finished with a winning record this year. In addition, Anthony Richardson was still playing. If the Cowboys can lose on a previous off week to a team that would've been golfing by now, AKA the Packers [whose 2011 squad's only loss in the regulation season was against a team that gave up & turned on their HC before his ouster shortly before being revealed as frauds]? That's why they play the game!

I actually don't hate the Pistons. I don't love them either, but honestly, I'm not a fan of losing. I'm guessing it's so bad in Detroit that I'd make fun of it. I imagine those there aren't a fan of losing to this degree

I'll be honest, if someone ever scores 101 (or 111) in a game, while I'll still tip the cap, I doubt I'd throw them a parade. Not, if you score 151 (or 160), that's a different story

There are people from my hometown that sorta disapprove of any "positive" words to the rival. I guess I get that, but previously. To be fair & honest, given how several want their head coach fired, I'd probably sit this one out when it comes to respecting one's rival. As far as disliking a team & respecting a team, it's possible to do both.

Yeah it's not going to be pretty. For what it's worth, I remember how back in the early part of the previous decade the Steelers were the last team to beat the Ravens in their place. This was 2010, and then they did it again in 2012. Probably helps that it's division football. Then enter Manning & Brady, both of whom destroyed the Ravens at M&T Bank stadium during their games there. I still could see things going either way, but Kansas City are the champs for a reason. It helped that they played at Orchard Park yesterday where as Houston played (the Browns) in Houston. BTW, I couldn't care less about the Bills. One more thing about Kansas City is that they are familiar with Jackson. Sure Lamar has more to work with in the past, but this will be the best Chiefs defense since 2018 he's faced. Helps that Andy & Patrick aren't rookies

I remember not too long ago (though it has been a minute as it was before Burrow got hurt) how Colin Cowherd said that the Chiefs would be fine facing the Ravens, but how they do not want to have anything to do with the Bengals. That is fair since they're the only team that's had their number. Can't wait to see what he says today & this week. Something I never got around to posting then was how Kansas City might be better off wanting to face a Bengals team with Burrow before facing a (super dangerous) Ravens team IN Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium. I'm probably more familiar than most, but that is not a place where you want to play a football game. Especially since it's their first AFC Title Game as the home team (Baltimore). Nonetheless, I still will double down saying that KC has a better chance at winning there than Buffalo would have

Great points, bluegirl. However, you could have had Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Shannon Sharpe, Torrey Smith, on this team with Harbaugh, Clowney, Odell & Lamar. For one, they're winning everything & it would not be close. That would be true "hate" toward that team. However, more than all possible scenarios in life would never, ever have me rooting for Dallas over Baltimore, period. If the practice is to treat the Ravens as a team that's been around for 28 years instead nearly 8 decades, then it's not easy to support a team like the Cowboys over a team that hasn't been around for a long time in my lifetime. I'll agree to disagree with Lamar for the most part. He was rather smug against Tennessee 3 years ago but the latter did deserve it. I think he's conducted himself rather well in front of the mic. Rather interesting for me. As for John, the obnoxious behavior is still there, but I still think I'd admire him if he was my head coach. Can't say that about a lot of people (ex. Gase & Hue). The Chiefs are this era's Patriots for sure. Might not reach that actual level, but it is definitely vexatious that there's that one team that's always there at the end, which even started before the Patriots presence ended. Have to go back to 2011 for someone other than Tom and Patrick in the title game, as mentioned. I probably don't mind it as much since my team is miles away. Their current ceiling is just getting to the playoffs, and really starting their playoffs in Weeks 17 & 18 where winning isn't a guaranteed for survival. Nothing now with Kansas City compares (on an emotional level) to the early 2000s as well as the past decade (mid to late 2010s). This was the year to take advantage of KC's struggles and Cincinnati's Joe Burrow being down. If that doesn't happen again, then Pittsburgh can be better, but it will get them nowhere. Having said that, if Pittsburgh had won the games they needed to win, enough to be the one seed. They'd likely finally win a playoff game, but still lose to Kansas City since they never win the conference as the top seed

The Script isn't the only thing that's been written...it's been "drawn" out for years!

My pick of the greatest Super Bowl of all time. I'd probably pick XL for my favorite, but as I trend toward not picking with emotion, I absolutely loved XXV. Everything about it was great from start to finish. I probably should've posted the correct calendar year, but that in the moment post referenced the NFL season, not the year of the best game. Still the only time I felt very happy for the winners and saddened for the runners-up
-
IDK. I can see the league going for the Harbaugh double dip. Though if San Francisco gets their revenge (or Detroit makes history) it would be for nothing. I'm not sure since Jim is facing whatever, and I think the league would impose discipline if the NCAA would've should Jim stay on the collegiate level. By the way, Swift has another commitment in Japan around the time of the Super Bowl (though Taylor did mention the efforts to work something out)
-
(Taylor Kelce camera shots * Romo shouting) Wide right + Chiefs in the title game * Yet Another Harbaugh crowning EQUALS Oh yeah. The NFL is definitely scripted!

Kansas City escapes & heads to their sixth consecutive AFC Title Game. It'll be the champions first road AFC championship game in 30 years
-
I would root for Kansas City to be honest. If Buffalo wins? The only reason the AFC Title Game will take place would be due to the fact that the game would need to be played in order for people to get paid. I still think it could go either way between the AFC West champs & the AFC North champs, but the former isn't as decimated. Plus, they won when the most important person was hurt against their nemesis
