Since this probably final episode was filmed last year, I wonder if Matt and Caryn are now married.  She said something about May, so maybe that's next month.  I'd like to see the finished house.

They are on Instagram so I'm sure they'll post about their marriage and moving into the new house.  I'm also sure that if they can "monetize" publicizing those events, they will...perhaps start a You Tube Channel?  Who knows?

I do believe, however, that TLC is done with them and the show is officially kaput in syndication on cable TV.  The same thing happened (for different reasons) with the Klein's "Little Couple."  They, too, appear on social media; however, not with any frequency regarding their kids.  Maybe that's for the best.

I agree with you; HOWEVER, I think that ZiT better consider repairing relationships with an effective P.R. effort with the sibs.  For sure, MILLIONS of $$$ are involved.  That farm is worth a lot of $$.

I wish both couples many happy days and adventures ahead.

Yes, I also thought it was the perfect way to end the show.  Everything ended the way it was supposed to end.

My only thought (instigator that I am😉) is what will happen when Matt and Amy pass on and that "windfall" of $$$ from the estate has to be divided up and managed by the surviving children.  That farm is worth A LOT OF $$$!

In that regard, I know ZiT wants no contact (or very little) with Matt and Caryn; however, I wonder how close they are to the 3 other sibs...after all, those dynamics will surely impact how harmonious the division of property will eventually be (whenever it is...hopefully, not for YEARS).  I don't recall any scenes with zach interacting with his siblings in the last few years.  Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If Zach wants nothing to do with his father fine. Drop Jackson and Lilah off on a Saturday morning and go pick them up Sunday night. Or whatever.

I wonder what ZiT's position is on their share of the proceeds of Matt's ESTATE once he passes on...are they also RENOUNCING any interest in reaping the benefits of that part of Matt's role in their lives?

If they hate him enough to ignore him (thereby causing him and Caryn such emotional distress) they should ALSO RENOUNCE the $$$ FRUITS OF HIS MANY HARD YEARS OF LABOR.

(I'm suspicious this is a recut of the WATN about the family from their original episode which was several parts

I'm with you 100% on that conclusion.  It seems they have enough material in those old shows to "slice and dice" through editing and create many "new" episodes.

I think I watched a few episodes in the beginning, but the cast didn't really interest me so I stopped watching.

Krystal S. success, Rose great success, Abi success, Delana success.  However, William, Shakyia, and Charles all failed.

After all the YEARS of me watching this show where I was rooting for the pounder to succeed, I would like to make an EXCEPTION in commenting on the Charles episode.

With the EXTREME disabilities with which he suffers (physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual) and the comfort/enjoyment he gets from eating (he and his bro eating in the Bar-B-Q restaurant for example) I say let the guy eat whatever he wishes.

Of course, his body will wear out, probably in the near future but he will leave this world in a state of carbohydrate/fat/sugar nirvana.

    She has totally checked out.

They both look like they're in a "hostage video" on these last shows.  The final show will be next week.  They appear as if THEY DON'T WANT TO APPEAR ON CAMERA and/or have anything whatsoever to do with any of the family members.

I will note, coincidentally, that I follow Tori on Instagram and she and Zach are going FULL STEAM AHEAD on producing and expanding their podcast to include the children.

As the TLC filming apparently concluded last summer, the children are now older and able to do and say more things.  Of course, ZiT are producing each episode of the podcast.  Who is paying for the production (if there is any planning involved) is unknown as it is new.  However, I believe they may have an investor (or maybe using some of their savings) to pay for the equipment and advice on the script.  The kids are very cute.  Jackson is seated so there's no emphasis on his legs and Lilah says a few garbled things (little to no improvement from last year) while Josiah is basically along "for the ride" at this point.

Perhaps, they will find a sponsor, or more, for the podcast.  I know that must be their goal.

I believe the TLC show will NOT be renewed as there don't seem to be any storylines that the public will likely find compelling enough to warrant viewing.

Zach doesn't dare do this or he would suffer the wrath of Tori. It would be nice if he could man up and tell Tori look I'm taking the kids to the farm. You are welcome to come but if you don't want to come then we will go without you.  I just don't see this happening.

She wouldn't even have to "argue with him".  She would simply give him A LOOK😃and that would end the discussion.  The issue with Tori (as with "alll control freaks) is that she has to "run the show."  If you assert yourself to her, she shuts you right down with a sarcasm or direct insult and the convo is closed.

There are couples who have long-standing marriages in my family whose dynamic is exactly as I describe.  For them, it's normal.  Zach knows he can have his "perks" (like that workshop and his beautiful kids) with Tori as his wife but he can only go "so far" with bridging the gap with his family or he will face consequences he is not prepared to face.

Again, from what I understand, ZiT didn't leave the show voluntarily although of course they're trying to put that spin on it for damage control.  Either the show is ending (Amy was also rumored to want out, as was Caryn) OR they were told their sparkling personalities and scintillating conversation were no longer wanted.

May I ask what other details you may have about reaching that conclusion?

    not anything about their parenting.

Certainly not arguing, but recall Audrey being chastised for allowing Ember to do what some viewers considered to be "dangerous" things (like the NUMEROUS occasions when Tori is found lacking for the same reason).  Of course, with ZiT, they have special needs children with special challenges.  Audrey and Jeremy did not have to deal with that but, it seemed to me, whatever Audrey (mostly her) did, or didn't do was brought into question by the viewers.

The point I was trying to make is that in BOTH cases (ZiT and jeremy/audrey), the incessant criticism of all 4 parents, on many levels, drove them away from filming the show as soon as they could establish some financial way to survive maintaining their lifestyle without the TLC check.

They only had one child when they quit the show. I don’t think she was even 2 yet..

As I recall, there were incessant posts about Audrey's pregnancy and the immediate aftermath of Ember's birth when Audrey was experiencing breastfeeding issues.

I also recall, there were frequent negative remarks about Jeremy's skill (or lack of it) while remodeling their kitchen.

Finally, if I recall correctly, there were ongoing and continuing negative references to Audrey about how she interacted with Tori,Amy and Matt.

They couldn't WAIT to flee from filming the show and, as with ZiT, It's impossible to believe they'd ever appear on camera again (if the show even survives).

Thanks for insight @LilyD. For me, choosing the least invasive surgery for Jackson combined with their complete denial/neglect dealing with Lilah's speech concerns shows a possible pattern of either hoping the medical concerns aren't serious or stupidity.

I think one of the greatest reasons they left the show was their reluctance to share how they are raising their kids with the viewing public.

That was also the case with Jeremy and Audrey after years of both of them facing unrelenting criticism from forums like this over their parenting skills (or lack of same.

I read that Audrey's parents are wealthy and that she has income that derives from that, so they're set financially with enough income to live comfortably and don't have to solely depend on whatever they make from their personal website and online presence.

We'll see how ZiT manages financially without income from the show.

And teeth. Don’t forget a full set of implants, both upper and lower.

I would SECOND THAT SUGGESTION 100%!!

The matter of dental implants is something I know a lot about as I've basically had my entire mouth restored and restructured about 10 yrs ago due to advanced periodontal disease.  Yes, I had insurance; however, very little of the total bill was covered.  I paid over $20, 000 for all the work that had to be done.

From what I can see of Rose's economic circumstances, I doubt very much that she could EVER come up with that amt of cash.

Perhaps her home county has a dental school that can donate the work she so desperately needs!

Otherwise, maybe a family member could create a "GO FUND ME" page because if she goes through all the effort to lose her weight and get her extra skin removed, I DEFINITELY would donate to that fund and I believe many other viewers would contribute as well.

Tori has full editorial control over her own videos.  Of course she's not going to show herself being mean to Lilah.  I believe they're "leaving the show" because the show is ending.

I wholeheartedly agree with your comment.

I will give Tori credit, however, for building a viable monetized social media presence that took several years to achieve.  Now they also have a monetized podcast.

Presumably, both of them, especially Zach, have built a financial portfolio adequate to support the family for now and in the future.  That income stream plus that social media and podcast $$$ probably allowed them to leave the show as, in my estimation, when I see them on camera, it kind of reminds me of a "hostage video." 😆  They don't seem happy to be there.

I thought it was a nice gesture when Zach bought Lilah those items to try and make the camping night more tolerable for her.

Tori is on Instagram and I watch her "reels" almost every day.

I keep in mind that the show we're viewing was filmed about a year ago.

In the recent videos Tori posted the kids have grown a lot. Josiah is walking and doing a lot of things and Lilah and Jackson have matured.

Neither Lilah nor Jackson speak intelligibly but Tori never responds with saying the word or phrase correctly.

I did hear Lilah say the word: DaDa and Josiah repeated it.  There are no TLC subtitles so most of the time I don't know what Jackson is saying.  Jackson, however, is playing baseball and doing very well getting on 1st base by actually hitting the ball.  Lilah is still dancing but Tori seems much more affectionate and caring toward her.

As we know, Tori shills for a # of children's clothing companies so Lilah, in particular, is always beautifully dressed.  That was especially true when Lilah went to her first daddy/daughter dance at her school.  The dress she wore was especially beautiful!

I would have to say that the family seems to be thriving away from the show and I can't see even a remote possibility they would ever return to filming.

I wish that Caryn had said NO I am not eating the pastry, one was enough.

I couldn't BELIEVE that Caryn refused to assert herself in declining the 2nd pastry!  What's with her?  She's usually very outspoken!

If ANYONE tried to "pressure" me into eating ANYTHING that I declined, he/she would know it was was a BIG MISTAKE!  Maybe that's because I lost 100 lbs 17 years ago and never gained it back!

I've learned through the years what it takes to resist food choices offered by others (including those who are overweight themselves).

I won't get into the nutritional value (or lack of) of those pastries but when women hit a certain age the old adage I learned from Weight Watchers a LONG time ago comes to mind:  "A MINUTE ON YOUR LIPS, 10 YEARS ON YOUR HIPS"😆

In his case, perhaps an overly large house was supposed to make up for other shortcomings.

    My exact thoughts!😆

He said he was a "business consultant."  I wonder what that means???

The wife's job as an asst. professor was probably secure; however, I wonder how secure HIS INCOME IS, especially in these turbulent times!

There was also a large difference in the ages of their children.  Maybe they're planning on expanding their family with more children in the years to come.

There were alot of comments during live chat.

The "live chat" was no longer available to me (other episodes were available, but for some reason, Abi's was deleted).

I also saw on Facebook (or Instagram, I forget which one) Dr. Now was congratulated for having reached 2 MILLION FOLLOWERS, so I'm thinking the show is reaching a massive enough audience to have it renewed.  That's good news as far as I'm concerned!

Since I don't see any postings on other sites, I'm hoping that Abi and his wife are being filmed for a WATN.

I was thinking the same thing...I was hoping they would add a written "tease" at the end of the episode with ....."more to follow" or something like that.  It would make sense for us to see him actually be able to walk...and, then, of course, to receive skin removal surgery.

As an aside, I checked several boards on Facebook and I must say, barely any posts were written about Abi.  This is leading me to believe that interest in the show is probably diminishing and that this will probably be its last season.

I thought Abi's episode was the best they presented in several YEARS!

Or there are no shows where you see big progress.

Abi lost over 250 lbs and his progress was IN SPITE OF, not because of his life circumstances.  I found him to be such a reputable, dignified person who had a devoted wife, and actually had a JOB through all his travails.  He was an example many in such distress could actually find inspiring.

As a matter of fact, I thought Dr. Now's offering him abundant services (including MONTHS of being in the hospital) were based upon Abi's OWN EFFORTS to overcome his compulsive eating habits that caused him to balloon to over 700 lbs!

If the paltry number of comments on this board are any indication of the lack of an audience for the show, after all these years, I guess it won't be renewed.
