I also wonder if David noped the Gold School idea if it was offered to Jill before now, on the grounds of (a) expense, (b) conflict with their scheduled church gigs or (c) both.

Hahahahahahaha.   Oh no, he would be all for it.   A "vacation" from pretending to run the print shop.   He can sleep all day while Jill is at "classes."   Then he gets to eat real food at new places.   no kids around looking waif like from starvation while he fills up.   He's just as bad as she is.

But yeah this "school" is lessons on how to spend more on plexus to make the founders more money.   You notice Brand Ambassadors are expected to be there too.    I bet they get shamed if they don't show up to "encourage" their Gold people to become Ruby.

I’ve signed conservatorships before, and you need to have a very long document signed by a doctor stating how mentally capable the 18 year old is, and their medical and mental health problems. I’m wondering how they got a doctor on board to fill this form out for a person that clearly doesn’t have any medical or mental health issues at that time. This is all so sad.

Apparently the filling for the conservatorshp states clearly there is no physical or mental impairment.   So how a judge signed off on this I don't know.   A Power of Attorney is what you sign when you want someone to act on your behalf, but you are physically and mentally capable of doing so yourself.   But a POA wouldn't have let the Tuohys claim this was the only way to be responsible for him since he was an adult.   Again, the appointment of his own attorney to explain things to him would have helped so much.   The whole court system is giving off bad vibes.   How many other "conservatorships" are out there like this.   (and yes, I've followed the Murdaugh case closely so this is pretty damn close to the same thing).

  3. The Tuohys are fine with conservatorship ending ... they say.   But nothing has been actually filed to that effect.    All Oher has filed for right now is to end the conservatorship and for an accounting of the conservatorship.   So if this is a shakedown, its a real interesting one since he has not asked for anything except those two things.

Now the interesting thing is apparently they waived having an attorney appointed for Michael when the conservatorship was started.   I didn't even know that was possible.   The whole point of the attorney is to make sure the conservateee's rights are protected and he WON'T BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE BY THOSE SEEKING CONSERVATORSHIP.   This is to make sure the person knows what is going on and has someone other than the person seeking conservatorship telling him what is going on.    Usually it is someone appointed by the court who does this kind of work regularly, not a family friend.   Also usually in conservatorships you have to file a yearly accounting WITH THE COURT of the property of the estate of the person.    Supposedly so the court can review it and catch any wrongdoing (we saw how well that worked for Britney).    Surprise, surprise, not a single accounting -- since 2004.   In my state, they issue a order to show up in court and explain yourself if you don't file -- even if the estate consists of nothing.

I think I've said this before, but I will say it again, if the Tuohys were making deals as the conservator then ALL the money from the deals went to Oher, not themselves and their kids.   So there should have been quite a chunk of change in the conservatorship.

I agree.  And, while I have admittedly not kept up with the evidence as I did in the beginning, based on what I initially learned, I think that capacity (meaning allowing lax safety conditions in order to save money) is the only appropriate one in which to charge him.  If the armorer had done her job, and the AD effectively served as a double-check instead of just calling out cold gun without verifying, Baldwin the actor could have pulled that trigger all day long and no one would have been harmed.

I don't think he was negligent, let alone reckless, legally in terms of not verifying it was a cold gun (again, that's supposed to have been done by two people before it gets to him; some actors do, but it's not standard or required).  It would come down to whether the way he handled and aimed the gun constituted a criminal offense.  And those are the allegations I haven't studied details on.  (He turned me off so much in that interview he did and I stopped putting any effort into it.)

Completely agree.   His pulling the trigger was not the proximate cause of death, there being a live round in the chamber was.    Which he is not responsible for ensuring the gun contained a dummy round.   The only way, to me, he can be held responsible based on pulling the trigger is if a dummy round would have hit the AD and killed her or severely wounded her.    Which is possilbe of the scene was blocked poorly, but there has been nothing about that.

Ian Runkle (Runkle of the Bailey) who is a firearms lawyer says the report found the gun barrel was so fouled it was actually compressing the bullet.   Which is some serious fouling.   What effect that had on what happened I don't know.   But again, this goes back to the armorer, it was her job to keep the guns clean and live rounds out of them.   Not Baldwin's.

  5. Like I said, if the records exist, produce them.    Yes there is a court process but if this is a shakedown, the best way to get ahead of it is to release the info.   If there is a trust for him, its simple to prove that.

If it is a true conservatorship, there should be court records, showing how much money the conservatorship made and what happened to it.    ALL the money made from the conservatorship goes to the conservatee, minuses expenses and a SMALL fee for the conservator(s).    None of this "we split the money equally" bullshit.

Michael Oher is suing the Tuohys (of The Blind Side fame), saying they tricked him into signing a document making them his conservators; they told him it was the equivalent of adopting him, it was just called something different because he was a legal adult.  But what they really wanted was the legal authority it gave them to make business deals in his name.  Calling him their adopted son has been used to promote their foundations, and Leigh Anne's career as an author and speaker.

If you're not familiar with the other lies that white savior movie told, the article gets into it.  I've always hated the way he was portrayed as dumb as a box of rocks, and especially presenting it like that little shit S.J. had to teach him how to play football; Oher not only had the skill, he'd studied the game.

The dad has realized a statement that he is "saddened" by this development.   here's the thing, its pretty easy to prove or disprove Michael's claims.   Produce the documents.    Either it was an adoption (which adult adoptions are a thing) or it was a conservatorship.   If you are not immediately releasing the paperwork, that tells me a lot.   If it is an adoption or not true that you took the money, releasing the paperwork will NOT hurt the court case.

He says he just found out this year, which could making things interesting from a statute of limitations point of view.   Because its when you did you discovery or SHOULD HAVE discovered.   Guess they let him keep his football millions to help hide the fact.   But they are still getting money from the movie.   Although as we learned from the WGA and SAF/AFTRA Strikes, how much are they really getting?

They also have a tendency to at least pretend that they believe all sins are equal.  So if Josh would go to Jesus jail for viewing regular porn why would he be treated any differently for child porn?  To someone like Anna they wouldn't even be pretending, to her it's all the same.

Worse, having a beer or allowing the 7-11 down the street to sell beer is as bad as what FF did in their world.   Which is why the "punishment" does nothing.  He would get the same punishment if he said a bad word.

At least that suggests that the hollowed, sickly grey circles the kids have may be in part hereditary and not exclusively due to deprivation of food and sleep.

Or they are all sleep deprived, including Jill.  Just because you are too hopped up on Plexus to sleep doesn't mean your body doesn't need sleep.   Jill might eat a LOT but she doesn't eat well.   So the dark circles may in fact be a family trait --due to the same causes of not giving a damn about eating right and getting enough sleep.

Nurie at least should be under her husband's headship.   She lives far enough away to understand what life is like without daily exposure to Jill's craziness and want to continue that.    Her husband should be asserting his headshp and saying no.

Jill would have mentioned Hawaii if she had won the Plexus Hawaiian cruise. Apparently, she didn't, so she has no reason to think about Hawaii and the people there.

So so so true.   She's not going so who cares the place is burning.   Because you know caring about others is no where to be found anywhere inthe KJV.

Oh I hope the rumor about Heidi is true.   None of the Rods are set up to support a spouse.  Tim playing around with whatever his current business  iswhile yearning to be a pilot will never be enough to support  a wife.

  10. Yep, Jill bought all matching dresses so she could be "just one of the girls" with her daughters.   How pathetic that she can't be happy being their mom but has to try to convince people she is as  young as they are.

As for the house, most AirBnB and VRBO contracts state that if you exceed the listed guests you can be evicted with no refund and forfeit your deposit.   This is to stop people from renting for parties that leads to complaints.   Which leads to more regulations making it harder for the companies to operate.   Of course, Jill didn't pay for anything so she won't care about the money.   And their rep being bad at the company will just mean they are being persecuted for being a large Christian family.

ut I never got a feeling that the adult Duggar daughters wanted to compete with Michelle as to the baby-making numbers.

Because they had their fill of baby raising as kids.   Why would the sign on for decades more of it?    Even if they do the sister mom thing, its still years of being pregnant and having to care for them when small.

I think the kids also realize that money is not endless and it is not easy to provide for a large family.   Especially the older ones who remember the days before the show and all the money that brought in.

Eric Bienemy has two rings.  Any “young player” complaining about his “intensity” can get bent.  Also, keep that shit in house, Rivera.

Tells me more about how Rivera was running things than a problem with Bienemy.   So yeah might want to shut up there Rivera.

  13. Just saw it framed this way by Law & Crime Network:

Conservative appellate panel refuses to give ex-’19 Kids and Counting’ star #JoshDuggar another chance to blame conviction on sex offender

Makes me wonder if Josh thought he was being "clever" by hiring the guy figuring he could always blame the other guy if he, Josh, got caught.   That would sounds like the kind of stupid but thinks he's so smart thinking that the FF and quite frankly JB is known for.

What's the point? Yeah, they're talking about raising money for charity, but there are easier ways than punching each other in the face. It won't prove that one's social media platform is objectively better than the other's, won't make their dicks grow any bigger. Even as someone who likes watching fighting, I'm not into freakshows or train wrecks. They both come off as petty and stupid.

Someone on twitter (I refuse to change the name) said something along the lines of "How about instead of fighting for charity you both act like mature adults and run your companies properly."   So you aren't the only one who feels this way.

They can't all win all the games

They are going to spend time beating up on each other too.   So they can't ALL win ALL the games.    They might do well on out of division games but they still have to play their division rivals twice.   Which means someone in the division is going to lose each of those games.

Sometimes the preseason hype gets a little too hyped.
