  1. Wow the men this season are absolute trash. Fuck Paulie. Andrew is terrible too, smug cheating asshole.
  2. I thought it was a fitting end. Alicia richly deserved the slap and it was a great moment. Diane is no angel either. She's used, double crossed and fought with nearly every character on the show. In the last few episodes she completely threw Cary under the bus! I don't feel too sorry for her and I'm not entirely mad at Alicia for doing what needed to be done, although I have loved Diane and Christine Baranski over the years. The Will scenes were great. Well shot and cleverly done without being saccharine or eye rolling. Willicia were really OTP and I'm glad they showed that and didn't have her end up with Jason. Grace had become one of my favourites on the show in more recent seasons. Yes she does silly and irrational things sometimes but she is only 17? 18? and apart from that has shown a low of maturity and mettle in other areas. The Alicia/Grace relationship was always really interesting to me. It was sweet but refreshing and I always enjoyed seeing Alicia deal with Grace's religion, her ambition and her growing up. Mostly I am going to really miss this show. It might have been a little patchy over the last year but honestly it's been one of my "Unmissables" every week for so long. Full of unique plots, really clever writing and perspectives on current topics. The cast has been fantastic and I will really miss them all together. Thanks to the Kings and TGW crew, it's been a really great 7 years. Hard to see anything on network tv coming along soon that will be as enjoyable.
  3. Why is Arizona an OBGYN all of a sudden? Some of the medical inaccuracies in the show drive me insane. Like how the surgeons seem to run the ED with no emergency docs in sight, the fact that Ben as an anaesthesiologist would have no problem running a code normally etc... I remember in an earlier season when Addison was listing off all the fellowships she had completed it would have taken something like 15+ years to be qualified in all the stuff she was claiming. April back to sucking after a mild bump in my estimations last week. The doorman/patient storyline was great. Really sad but well done. I like the actor playing Dr. DeLuca but they've really not given him any storyline of significance or characterisation whatsoever apart from being the new hot intern.
  4. That was the impression I got too. His c section looked ok, when he opened the uterus it was full of blood. Probably an abruption with subsequent DIC. Not his fault or anything he really could have done, the outcome probably would have been the same but since he has a history of gung ho macgyver type stuff he needed to be nailed. That incident where he opened a patient's chest with the edge of a clipboard was one of the dumbest things Ive ever seen on a medical show. There is just no storyline they can give Owen that will make me like his character, dead sister included. He's just so full of anger and such an asshole all the time. What Cristina ever saw in him. I don't care about his animosity towards Riggs and I don't want Meredith involving herself in that mess either. If we're heading towards a cull of cast I'd like to see Owen, Penny, Riggs exit for sure +/- Amelia. Previously I would have included April but the current stuff with Jackson isn't completely awful so she can stay for the time being.
  5. Yeah fuck him. Who cares about his career? What a total creep and a loser. I hope he goes away for a long time. The thought of those poor kids in those images, it makes me feel sick. This is just another piece in the pervert jigsaw for him based on past stories. I feel bad for the rest of the cast to have had to associate with him.
  6. For a two hour long episode only about 20 minutes of it had any purpose, Meredith's scenes. She was practically hidden away for the whole thing and instead we got a focus on tangential characters without as much connection to Derek. Ellen Pompeo was terrific, she captures the poignance and desperately sad situation so beautifully. I still feel a bit numbed by the whole thing, not yet believing Derek is really dead. Meredith is such a compelling character, I just wish there was more focus on her. At this time I don't give a crap about Arizona, April, Jackson, Hunt, Chief, Catherine or even Bailey that much and I think it was a major mistake to focus on seemingly everyone except the most important player in all of this.
  7. Med student here. No. It just would not happen. The other doc mentioned how being on call he was supposed to be there within 20 minutes. The circumstances would be enough for disciplinary action and definitely grounds for being struck off.
  8. What is the point in even watching this show any more? Any characters that have been on and I've grown attached to have just been slaughtered because SR can't come up with a plausible reason why characters might leave. George (and Izzie), Lexie, Mark, Derek. There is no payoff for fans who invest time into these characters and the storylines over the last 10 years. Mer/Der are the foundation of the entire show. Derek rubbed people up the wrong way over the years (myself included) and some people never took to Meredith but FGS they are the rock, the centrepiece. Where is the reward for fans who have been watching this show for ten years? This is starting to sound like a tantrum. It's not. I'm just evaluating if theres any point in continuing. Next week tune in to watch Kepner, 2 interns and Dr. (letter retracted) unt. I don't think so. SR has no loyalty to fans. No commitment to storyline. She just fills her own agenda and to hell with everyone else.
  9. I have been a fan of Grey's Anatomy since the very beginning. I've basked in the Mer/Der relationship for 10 years, always enjoying the dynamic between Ellen and Patrick. They have been a dream romantic storyline. One that always put a smile to my face. This episode was complete and utter trash and I am so angry. To have Derek die in such a pathetic, undignified way due to other doctors screwing up. To have him be left braindead and narrating it as some kind of bitter irony. It is a disgusting slap in the face to fans. Disgusting. Patrick may have wanted off the show. He and Shonda may have clashed but the way she has orchestrated his characters exit is so petty and so downright mean to viewers. Most of all it is such a wretched and unpleasant thing to do to the character of Meredith. She has been my favourite character on the show from the very beginning. Through the dark and twisty to the bright and shiny. This is just too dark. It doesn't even fit into a proper story ark. It just feels like external factors between the production and PD have brought this about and that is no way to write a show. An absolutely despicable, appalling exit.
