  1. Okay, after watching "Kali Yuga" it's DAMN clear the show pops and crackles when it isn't being dragged down with Katrina. She can exit stage left any moment now.
  2. Loved the episode. A lot. It's now my favorite Christmas episode. Part of it is because I adore 'is it reality?' plots and this one was well done. I know a lot of people are commenting here and around the internet that it's a ripoff (homage, if giving a positive spin) of Inception...but Inception didn't invent this plot. Any science fiction/fantasy fan of novels and shows since decades gone by could give other examples. So as long as DW executed the plot well, and they did, and added their own flavor to the mix, and they did, then is is a win for me. Plus the witty one liners, the well integrated Santa & elves, the lovely character moments, and that glorious sleighride thru London. So this one goes on the 'nice' list, and maybe even, depending on rewatch, a more exclusive personal fave list. I agree I would not have mourned if the show ended a couple minutes earlier. I'm ready for a new companion. It would have been a nice sendoff for Clara. But imo the episode did reset her relationship with Twelve so that they can interact with a different vibe next season and so that's a good thing.
  3. I agree, ignoring the Eastin interview is the way to go. I didn't mind the predicatable ending, it's a USA romp. I personally would have preferred a tighter plotline developing the idea Neal 'had' to fake his death to keep Peter and his loved ones safe. Fans of WC are naturally dominated by Neal fans, so leaving that resolution murky was a fail, imo. I think the 23 million is derived from the FBI having a more accurate count of how much was actually in Big Bertha. Neal was guesstimating 30 mil by calculating the time the $ would be diverted to Moz, so the actual time being off, even by a few seconds, meant millions one way or the other. So if the FBI knows 32 mil is missing, and they recovered 9 mil from Keller, then Moz had 23.
  4. I really enjoyed this episode. Best one of S3 so far, imo. I liked the focus on the political intrigue, as well as the philosophical underpinnings of everyone's beliefs being challenged. The episode really explored a lot of different elements, and I thought it set up a strong conflict for Kiera as she begins to question the role she has in 'protecting the system' in order to protect the people. For me, the real power of the series is in exploring Kiera's belief system, and whether she ends up gradually questioning her original values or stays true to them, perhaps more cynically and more aware.
