  1. Sheila has unfinished business with her ex and the abuse she took from him. She is taking it on Nate. Pure and simple. Nate turned out to be a pretty decent 25 year old after all.
  2. The story of Danielle and Cody (according to what is shown on the show only and my own perception): They meet. It seems ok. Wedding night- They are so excited about the whole "I'm married!!" that adrenaline kicks in and they are into each other. Suddenly, Danielle realizes that she had just met this guy hours ago and she says, wait a minute, let's get to know each other first. I believe they liked each other enough at this point. Both of them seem like good people that came to this show with the right intentions, but turned clueless quickly. Honeymoon- She is hopeful sex will happen, I remember hearing her say it and also looking at him with the hint that she was ready. Then... BOOM. I don't know what happened to him and he steps back. She did not see this coming. Maybe he felt rejected, maybe he had never been with someone who wanted to wait. She not only feels insecure of herself, starts panicking a little in confusion but also starts loosing the initial attraction because of his personality, the way he moves, the way he speaks, the lack of assertion, the little things. From this point on, it is a struggle to feel attracted or understood. They don't read each other at all, they don't get each other. I don't think that she is completely checked out, because every time Cody is upset or tells her (or other people in front of them -ouch-) that he is unhappy, she gets really nervous and shocked. If she didn't care, she would just roll her eyes or send him to fly a kite. Agree that one month without sex is nothing at the early stages of a relationship, when you are getting to know each other, dating. One month being married, honeymooning and sharing a bed every night... that is another thing...
  3. Exactly. On the honeymoon, after the fight, she said that Nate could have said anything, anything but quitting (he said he didn't want to be married to her anymore), she said that that was a deal breaker. And now, she continuously does it to him ("I'm done", "not doing this with you anymore", leaving).. I thought she was serious the first time. Her credibility lost points there... You don't take a man's name until you are over all these "I'm in"/"I'm out" issues. You take his name when it feels really solid and peaceful, as a symbol of being one (not one person, but one team, one family). Of course, you don't have to, but she wanted to. Too soon IMO.
  4. Interesting... So she was/is talking to the producer, not to Nate! It makes sense that they would use it to create drama.
  5. He didn't get mad because she stopped playing. He was shocked that she would get so upset at not being good at it.
  6. Agree! I had my first at 31 and my fourth at 41. Happy, healthy family. I rather wait and have them with the right person and bring them into a solid loving home than just pay attention to the age factor and have them with whoever, just to achieve my dream. It has to be fair for the child too. That being said, I also understand the anxiety she must have, not knowing how easily she'll conceive. I never thought I would have 4 and here we are!
  7. I know! And to say it in front of your 30 y/o wife, even worst. Did he mean "I'm too young to be married to her?"
  8. What is the deal with Nate's Mom? So, she doesn't accept this marriage because marriage is sacred and forever and this is not the right way to do it. But it is done. They are married. Therefore, it should be taken seriously and it can't be broken, right? If this is what she believes, then why is she trying to sabotage it. Does she want Nate to get divorced? It makes no sense.
  9. I disagree. I wouldn't flaunt my awesome sex life in front of my brother or my best friend if I knew they are miserable. Thumbs down to them.
  10. I thought just the opposite. If he decided to become the Alfa and show some authority and limits to the dogs, Danielle would feel more attracted to him. Instead, he expresses his doubts about saying something about the dogs to the camera. Sigh. Agree. Also, how independent is someone who works for Mom and Dad? (Nothing wrong with it, I would love to have a family business, but to raise the independent woman flag, umm no so much.)
  11. I watch it "on demand" and it is not up yet. I'll be back.
  12. I just started watching. First impressions: I'm surprised people like Ashley and dislike Danielle. I felt just the opposite. Well, I don't dislike, dislike Ash. but I found high maintenance and panicky mode quite annoying (air conditioning episode and kayak and sharks stuff). Her sister seems to be the dominant sibling and has a very strong influence on her. It gave me the impression that she will be that wife that goes first to her sister and then to her husband. It is even a little creepy that Anthony looks a lot like her brother in law! And don't get me wrong, I love loyalty and friendship between siblings. I love mine to death. But if you are married, husband is first. I do see that she is sweet and appreciate she can see past his not too perfect looks, but great personality. She is pretty, and on a shallow note, if I saw them in the street I would think she is out of his league, so it must be true love. I want to tell her, there is nothing wrong with having a baby or young child when you are 40. If you are bringing him/her to a loving healthy home out of love and not just out of neediness or to check something on your list. And I know some people do it, but I don't know how you can have children in the house and not cook "at all". My budget would go 400% up if I didn't. It would just be very useful. Anthony seems the easiest guy to work with this season. Effortless funny and a family man are awesome assets. I still don't totally trust him though. Sometimes, the guy everybody loves and everybody's buddy is not as good in personal one in one relationships. And the scene with the streeper was kind of offputting. But all in all, so far so good. Danielle didn't give me the impression of aggressive or scary (I found Jacklyn aggressive). She is just more mature than Cody. I kind of like her. I think that by manly man, she means a guy who is assertive, who takes the lead. Not necessarily a macho or bully type. She seems smarter than that. I found her Dad to be the sweetest man, so if that was her male figure and she seems to adore him, then it is a different type of "head of the house" she is referring to. A confident, natural leader, but compassionate, loving man. Cody seemed very much into her at the wedding night, he was going for it. After that, we got insecure Cody. He seems like a good guy, very laid back, someone who would be perfectly happy in his small world, no need for much adventure. If I was that bride (Sheila) and saw groom's Dad behaviour, my hart would be racing with a hundred red flags of warning. I know we shouldn't judge people based on their parents, but wow, pretty scary. He seems to be much better than his Dad, but still, some borderline bully treats. Like "how dare you do this to me" attitude. BUT he is listening, apologizing, taking in and being responsible for his brother, wanting a real marriage, trying to do the right thing. Sheila is very hurt and she is throwing all the past ghosts on her new husband. I can hear in her head telling herself "see, nobody loves you", "here we go again, begging for love, etc". It is just too soon to draw those conclusions as well as it is too soon for him to come out with a " I don't want to be married to you anymore" sentence. It is the honeymoon, get to know each other. Meet half way. I also noticed how the mood changed abruptly after they had sex. The good energy disappeared. And the explosions started.
  13. Exactly. Those are real relationships. They loved each other, they chose each other, they built something. It didn't work, but at least it is valid. It happens. People will understand, many will relate. Their new partner won't judge their judgment as much as if you said "I married in a reality tv show, was married for x weeks". Ouch.
  14. Agree. It has to suck. On top of everything it is public.
