  1. This is one of the most frustrating parts for me as well.  They are adamant that we accept them as polygamists, yet they feel free to bag on the rest of us for our choices?  Monogamy seems to be their biggest target, yet the majority of Americans ARE monogamist.  If we are to accept you and your lifestyle choices, then common sense would dictate that you would demonstrate the same, yes?  Way to alienate your audience, dumbasses.  Christine is the absolute worst about it, I swear she slams monogamy every single episode.  Sounds like she needs to convince herself.

  2. For reals?  The chick that went for the discount surgery in Tijuana stayed once the nurses brought ice to "anesthetize" her stomach??  Stupidity deserves the discount rate and discount results she got.  And on a superficial level, her lazy eye was killing me throughout the entire episode.

I knew they wouldn't do surgery on Justin Beiber's creepy stalker.  And the chick with the botched boob job can suck eggs.  Her vanity brought her to the surgery that went wrong, yet she wants to cry if someone has a comment on it.  Cry me a river.  You made a decision, and one can only assume that you signed off on a release explaining all  risks.  Her face didn't exactly look un-touched, so I wasn't buying her sob story.  What sealed it for me was the end scene of the wedding party - one of the bridesmaids didn't have a strapless dress on.  It was a very similar dress, but had straps.  Her drama was ridiculous.

  3. You're right, this set up isn't financially realistic/sustainable for average people with average incomes.  It's just way too many children to support - and that's just the financial aspect.  Not even touching on the emotional aspect of how little attention these kids must get considering each wife spends a large portion of her time pining for her 1/5 husband.  It's absurd.  Why continue to have more kids when you cannot support the ones you have?  It is just so irresponsible, and yet these yahoos don't understand that this is what bugs many of us more than the other absurd parts of their  "belief"  system.

Edited to add:  I would love to be a part of the end of season interview with Taryn and ask them to explain how they justify not only the bankruptcy, but also using public dollars (foodstamps, welfare) to sustain this lifestyle.  This is the public's main issue, not how many women are willing to share you - dumbass.  If you cannot afford more than one wife, or more than 2 or 3 kids, don't have them!!  Very simple, people.  It's called common sense, and there seems to be a lack of it in both this family and the Brown family.

  4. I decided to go back and re-read the book that this dysfunctional crew wrote a few years ago to try to accurately remember a few things.   One thing that I had forgotten was how often they were so beyond broke!  They consistently mention not having enough money, not planning well, Kody not enjoying his job, Meri quitting jobs every time she had opportunity to go on  a trip with Kody, etc.  So friggin irresponsible!  I just cannot wrap my mind around it, in spite of the fact that we see it every single episode.

Also, I distinctly remembered that Janelle and Meri had many harsh disagreements, yet forgot the huge dust up between Meri and Christine.  For those that haven't read the book, here ya go:

About a year before I became pregnant with Truely, I had a devastating argument with Meri.   For a while, I'd been feeling that she was too tough on my kids.  While I understand that all children need discipline, I often felt that she went too far when it came to my children.  It seemed to me that she was taking her frustrations out on my kids in particular.  As a result of this, many of them were wary of her and were afraid to cross her accidentally.

  5. Tori was such a raging, narcissistic bitch last night.    Every single thing has to go her way every single time.  I am no Dean fan, but after watching his life last night, I have some sympathy for the situation he got himself into.  She is a mess!

  6. I gotta agree, auntl.   She definitely hates Janelle, and I do think it is based in pure jealousy.  She was the first additional wife taken on by Kody, and also the first to get pregnant, first to have a son, and Kody genuinely enjoys being with her.  I think it really bugs her, and she lets it eat at her.  The thing is, she is choosing this lifestyle, so I don't understand letting something like that gnaw away at you.  Seems to me you would need to let some stuff go if you are going to be relatively happy in life.  You're either all in or get the hell out, right?

  7. This whole fake baby deal was just dumb. Isn't the whole point of this exercise to convince teenagers to use birth control so they won't have a real baby? Only Tamra would think that lugging around a screaming plastic baby would make Eddie long for a kid of his own. She is so dumb. I am surprised she didn't drive that piece of plastic over to her mom to take care of.

She did admit to "shoving the baby into the couch cushions" on the first night.  Friggin fabulous parenting, Tamballs.  And she is too dumb to realize how badly this makes her look while she has been complaining about her parenting time being cut down to 50%.  Ignorant fool.

  8. Here goes - lots of thoughts/questions after last night's episode.   Does anyone know how many beds are in that sized RV?  How many people they are designed to sleep?  I'm having a hard time imagining that all kids slept comfortably in there, and the  "adults"  wonder why there is tension amongst the kids after a few days?  Really, guys?

How many times did we see in previews that KoDouche said he wanted no whining or crying? And then, who whined and cried the most? Why, the King, of course.

He complained in just about every single scene.  It was ridiculous.  And not one of the wives told him to knock it off.  He bitches about wanting to be the leader/king of the family, yet has no clue how to lead.  Dumbass.

I loved seeing Meri with her two suitcases, saying "I'm ready." Meanwhile, in the other homes, there is a circus of activity going on

    .

Meri had such a smug face on in that scene in her entryway.  As if to say  "I am ready to go an hour early, I don't know why everyone else is having such trouble?"   Such passive aggressive bitchiness.

Two comments tonight really sealed for me how dysfunctional this gaggle happen to be. First, Kody says something to the effect of "my wives are freaking out because they have to travel together." WTF? If they are supposedly this symbiotic family unit that lived together in the same house for years and years, why would travelling together be such an issue? Isn't the point of taking a trip to relax and have fun?

And they neglected to mention if Robyn and Meri each had their own motel room.  Ha ha ha ha, as if any of us thought those two should bunk together for an evening.  For a family that spends each episode complaining about money, they have no worries about blowing every single dime (or at least giving the appearance of) they get their greedy little hands on.  How much money blown on the steak eating competition?  And 2 (most likely 3 - Mindy) motel rooms for a minimum of 4 nights just on the way TO the destination?  It is just mind blowing to me.  They can't really be that clueless, can they?  I know they prove it again and again each week, but I just can't wrap my head around this group of idiots wandering through life together.

  9. Tori is her usual over the top self in this ridiculous premise of a show.  She wants everything just her way, and at no time, does the cost of anything come into play.  It starts out kind of like House Hunters, as a real estate agent shows them three options.  They pick the most obvious of the choices, and then episode 2 is the debacle of a second bathroom.  Poor Patsy looks so overworked and tired while Tori and Dean pretend to be ever so involved in their children.  Same old, same old.

  10. To belittle them or insist they accept, in this case, your accommodations, has crossed the line from being a gracious host.  Granted the host may have their feelings hurt but don't turn it around on the guest.  I am quite certain if David and Shannon had been apprised of the accommodations in advance they would have made arrangements to check into a nearby hotel and spent their waking hours with Vicki.  In this case they weren't fully apprised.

And this is where it turned from Shannon's bad into Vickie's bad.  If Vickie were truly trying to be a great hostess, she would have disclosed the sleeping arrangements ahead of time.  I cannot imagine inviting anyone to come stay in a room that small without mentioning the accommodations, if for no other reason than to avoid my guests being uncomfortable.   By simply mentioning that they were invited to stay (albeit in a very small room), this puts it on the guest to either accept the invitation or make other arrangements -- graciously, either way of course.

I must admit, I would not be thrilled to find out that I would be staying in that small a room either.  Theoretically, you are only sleeping in it, but given that Vickie and Crooks are your hosts, you would probably use the room just to escape from time  to time.   When I'm on vacation, I want nicer accommodations myself.  It's not as if Shannon and David couldn't afford to go to Mexico any other way.

  11. those coveralls were absurd - he looked even more douch-ey than normal.  Although, I did notice he looked quite a bit younger than he did just one short year later on True Tori -- she is aging the shit outta him.

  12. Finally watched this last night, and Janice is a fucking mess!  Where was her precious fiancé after her surgery?  Couldn't help but notice he was not seen again after dropping her off for her surgery.  And her paid hanger-on is the worst....

  13. Shannon needs to give up on the holistic healing route, as it is abundantly clear that it is not working out for her.  She needs a cocktail of  mood stabilizers, valium, and maybe an anti-depressant.  She clearly has some imbalance of hormones or something.  I have never seen someone so uptight while drinking!  And I'm rooting for her!  There are moments that you see what they have (had) and I really want to see them work it out.

  14. In Lizzie's blog this week, she mentions that her oldest son just turned 4.  Wow... She also says something about having told him that hitting 4 means no more diapers?  If your child can understand that sentence, it's long, long overdue girl.  And I agree with above posters, enjoy the kids you have, don't add more - clearly these 2 are more than you can handle.  Has she clarified why she wants more?  Idiot

  15. I think it's also possible to read too much into the comment.  Who's to say his daughters put too much thought into his comment (if/when they heard it). It's very possible they just brushed it off as "Dad's trying to be funny again".   I've been guilty of saying things in sarcasm that could be very much read into, however that was not the thought/intent behind the comment.
