  1. I don't know, I just find the "street" choreo to be tedious and I skipped past a lot of it. Denys Drozkyuk commanded that Broadway Choreo, but I think Nigel will cut him because nobody has said anything about him being the Canadian champ. Kinda bugs since they were all about Paul in season 10 with the disclosure that he was the Albanian champ. Denys' partner was adorable ETA: I tweeted to Nigel about Denys and he says they mention that he's the Canadian champ next week. Still doesn't past the smell test, imho
  2. Tonight was actually good. I missed the last two weeks because I just got bored earlier on but tonight I was glad to have watched, the dancing has stepped up a good few notches. Loved Virgil, (the kid reminds me of Fik-Shun and he's got Broadway training so he is probably a front runner for the street group,) the Locker was joyful to watch, Contemporary Kenya and Conner duo were very strong, the Ballroom dancer Ryan was mad sexy, Anime was dope, and I enjoyed the last dancer as well. So all in all I was entertained.
  3. Whoever gets the nod this time I hope they come in with a fanbase. It's seems so lopsided when someone who has dance talent gets the boot early.
  4. So Rumer got another tatt this one to commemorate her time on dwts. I'm not a fan of tatts per se, but I think this one is pretty cool. Some think it's crazy, no crazier than a football player putting his team logo on his arm. So although I'm not into ink myself, at least this one was a pretty one. http://www.etonline.com/news/165509_rumer_willis_commemorates_dwts_victory_with_tattoo/
  5. Okay it pains me so much, but I cannot go to Sway as hubby is ill. I have two e-tickets for the Saturday night show in NYC. If anyone is interested pm me and I'll email them to you. Update: Tickets have been claimed.
  6. Rumer is joining the tour for selected dates: http://www.people.com/article/rumer-willis-joins-dancing-stars-perfect-ten-tour-summer-2015
  7. For me, Keeping Up with the Kardashians is a highly produced show, their houses aren't even their actual homes, I don't think it is a show where actual emotion is even an issue, it's all an act. So in that respect I don't "know" Bruce/Caitlyn at all nor do I take anything said or done on that show as reflective of the people who act on it. He may be full of shit, but I thought Bruce was very candid in the interview with Diane Sawyer and his grown children, even his ex wives, were all very supportive of him. Of course Kris and the Kardashian clan were no comment, but I think it has to do with how this decision will affect their product rather than their souls. So I've formulated no opinion of Caitlyn, except that anyone brave enough to come out as transgender in such a public way has to be a trailblazer for others.
  8. I wouldn't mind Caitlyn Jenner on the show at all. It would be interesting to see if she kept up athletic endeavours. Bruce was in the audience a lot previously(rooting for Kim and Rob) and even before that, prompting speculation that Bruce would have joined. She obviously loves the show. She probably won't do it right away, but we've had Chaz Bono so why not Caitlyn? I think she has more potential as a dancer than Chaz had. She certainly has the drive of an athlete and that would be very interesting to watch. She's a bonafide star being not only an Olympian but the winner of the Decathlon, that's a very specific and incredible training regime. Even though she's 65 the Vanity Fair pics show her in great shape. Time for the world to be tolerant. Too many identified as transgender have killed themselves instead of living in a world of hate . She would definitely need a taller partner, maybe Keo or I sort of like Artem, as a partner. He was so good with Patti. I think he would be awesome with Caitlyn. Tommy Chong got pretty deep in the competition, if Caitlyn has rhythm I could see her going very far.
  9. Seems like it's going to be an uphill battle for the "Stage" dancers, Travis says the "Street" have the 'personality' .... yeah, nothing like just letting the dancing speak for itself. http://www.myfoxla.com/clip/11556068/travis-wall-sytycd
  10. Yeah Nigel said there would be not choreo rounds this season. http://guardianlv.com/2015/06/so-you-think-you-can-dance-enters-12th-season-with-abdul-and-derulo/ ETA: Sorry I saw your post late, Diablo.
  11. I guess the whole street vs stage is to get a street dancer the win this year. I will still watch for the great stage dancers, but they are clearly going to be thrown under the bus.
  12. Rather than compare seasons, I am reminded of my favorite dances this season: 10. Patti Labelle and Artem - In Da Club Salsa..so cool so fun, everyone wanted to be VIP, she deserved a higher score! 9 Willow Shields and Mark - Alice in Wonderland Foxtrot... I thought it was even better the second time around 8 Noah and Sharna - Freestyle- The guy's strength is unbelievable and there was a lot of heart in that dance 7 Nastia and Derek and Len - Viennese Waltz, beautiful and touching. 6. Rumer and Val - DiscoSalsa if you're going to use Gloria Estefan music for Salsa, it better be Disco, and this one delivered! 5 Nastia and Sasha - Quickstep - great dancing, and a great connection 4. Ryker and Allison - Pirate Paso - it was at the speed of light, but it was a great impersonation of Johnny Depp 3. Rumer and Val - Rumba/ Paso night... both dances were beautiful and a great tribute to Strictly Ballroom 2. Rumer and Val - Swan Lake - I don't think I'll soon forget that incredible lift, effortlessly done. She's not a ballerina, but boy if she had the training. 1. Rumer and Val - Freestyle - Give me an Argentine Tango with powerful contemporary movement, and I'm all in.
  13. Yeah, I don't hate the Houghs, I just thought their lip sync battle was all kinds of desperate. I didn't enjoy any of it.
  14. According to those stats they were down from Hathaway and Blunt both in viewership and the 18-49 demo.
  15. I agree the production numbers have gotten messy and out of control. But I do like them in the context of Broadway, and they can be very entertaining if used sparingly.. Disney night really benefited from the Broadway production especially when conveying dancing cartoon characters, so I would prefer that each of the contestants are limited to ONE production number during the season, and that way they are forced to pare down the choreography for the majority of the season. I would also ask that the TEAM dances go back to being a Ballroom dance or a Latin dance. The best ones were Team Pasos and Team Tangos...We've got far too many freestyles on the show.
  16. I saw that battle and I thought it was cringe worthy and unfunny., The Houghs just are not funny to me, Derek was slightly better than his sister, but it was just ew, for me. Now, if you saw Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, now that was hilarious. Hathaway, whom many thought was just an annoying theatre kid, really pulled off a hilarious send up of Wrecking Ball. IMHO
  17. Both Joey Fatone and Lance Bass were on, do we really need another N'Syncer?
  18. If you missed the DWTS 10th Anniversary Show it's being Re-broadcast on Sunday May 31st on ABC. Check local listings.
  19. No doubt for votes and thus avoid elimination, I wonder if Noah's Vwaltz will be scored low? I think all the judges choices will be scored perfect by the other judges Noah has Paso which should be a lot easier for him to get a high score than the vwaltz. I can't see him mastering the rise and fall and at a speed that looks like waltz
  20. It does feel like a tearjerker manufactured moment to keep Nastia from elimination. Oh well I think all of the judges choices will be 10's the first score will make the difference
