  1. Can you please make the book so that it plays the 90210 theme every time the reader opens it?
  2. Whenever Merrin Dungey is on Brooklyn 99 as Terry's wife, I really there to be a scene where he says "Terry loves yogurt" and she replies with "Francie doesn't like coffee ice cream".
  3. I kept waiting for someone to bring up Holt's texting
  4. I really wish that the Justified season one cliffhanger quote had just been Raylan making a gun noise, since that came after Boyd's line. But I guess that doesn't exactly count as dialogue
  5. I was excited to see Angie Tribeca's Beach Blanket Sting-O get featured - I've been catching up on the series this summer and saw that episode a few weeks ago. I keep saying "I'm not saying I'm gay or a necrophiliac, but if I was, I certainly wouldn't tell you guys" probably much to the chagrin of my husband.
  6. I'm a little sad that no one had a Dianne Wiest infection..... ...... ..... Like yeast!
  7. It's like the Canon has been reading my mind but then going in a different direction the last two weeks. For months I've been thinking about submitting either an episode of Catastrophe or an episode of Scrubs, but in both cases it was not what the submitter went with. For Scrubs, I would have gone with the Brendan Frasier episode. As Kim Reed mentioned, it's kind of a gimmick episode, but I think it actually does a great job showing what Scrubs is about - a mix of humor and at times gut punching sadness. On a similar note, I would have picked season 1, episode 4 of Catastrophe - it's the episode where Rob and Sharon find out that the baby is at an increased risk of Down Syndrome and Sharon Horgan puts in a particularly heart-wrenching and thought-provoking performance. Sorry to dredge up last week in this comment thread, I was behind in listening and then it also struck me funny that the Canon submissions matched up with shows I had thought about submitting for two weeks in a row. If next week's submission is Brooklyn 99's "The Party," I am going to be really creeped out.
  8. As someone who has adopted recently, I wanted to thank Allison for her insight on how This Is Us is handling the issues of adoption. I actually had to stop watching because I turned into a blubbering mess every episode, but I found many moments extremely real before myself and my tear ducts had to depart. I think a lot of shows don't know how to handle adoption, but This Is Us seems to be doing it justice...at least so far. During the tiny triumph section, did I hear that the original Extra Hot Great episodes are available somewhere? I would love to listen to them
  9. As soon as you said "Spider-Man, Spider-Man" I immediately starting singing the Moxy Fruvous version. I literally did a little cheer when you mentioned them. I'm American so it's pretty rare for me to encounter someone who knows them. Though they're somewhat tainted by Jian at this point, unfortunately
  10. With this as my text alert and "Cat Party" as my ringtone I might just be able to rule the world
  11. Ask and ye shall receive: https://clyp.it/zna0y133 You should be able to download it. Let me know if not. Oh my god, Christmas came early this year!
  12. I would like "get off your ass Alan Alda" as my text alert
  13. Actually I tried for about two and a half years to have a baby, so I guess I probably did whine for some point before that. I understand what you mean - that April shouldn't be complaining about being bored. But for all the things that Grey's gets wrong about being a parent, I think they actually got this right - the newborn phase is not always this rosy dreamy place. Sleep deprivation, being alone in the house with no one else to talk to...especially for April, who probably had a lot of support and company at first, but now that she's healed more, she's been left alone with her daughter. I think that's something that a lot of mothers experience to some degree and I have to imagine it would hold especially true for someone like April who's used to being in the ER and OR all the time. I honestly do appreciate a good April is insufferable rant though.
  14. Speaking as someone who has had a baby in the last year, I actually felt like April's boredom rang extremely true. There are people that adore the newborn period and float through it and there are others that find it quite isolating. I think she's fully appreciative of her miracle baby, but she's gone from being someone that leads an extremely active lifestyle (trauma surgeon) to sitting around the house all day with someone that can't even talk. I actually think this makes sense with the timeline - she probably had a lot of support, people stopping by to help and now everyone's back at work without her.
