  1. Didn’t one of the other boys use the “senses” theme when asking a girl to court? Maybe it was a Duggar courtship. I remember it because the guy spelled it “sense”ability instead of sensibility and people made fun of him. I want to say it was Kelton but I’m not sure.

I looked on the company’s website and they’re not selling the system right now.

I don't like to give out wrong information and need to be sure I don't have my wires crossed here.

Maybe they were just having trouble with their website when I originally looked at it because it did say they were not taking orders at that time, but now it seems ok.

I am REALLY interested in this.  I'll have to look into it when I have time.  I've been meaning to bring up whether anyone else was experiencing "pandemic weight gain".  I have and it's been really alarming me because I was doing so well maintaining for a long time.  Now no matter what I do it seems like I can't lose it for love or money.  I might have gained 6-10 lbs. but on me it all goes to my stomach so it's not a pretty sight.  Plus I am short 5'1.5" tall right now (I once was 5' 1 and 3/4" tall) so only a few pounds looks tremendous on me and makes me go up 1-2 sizes!  Plus I tend to retain fluid worse in the summer and experience a little bit of a water weight gain every season anyway.  It's gotten to the point where my summer pants are always a size larger than my winter pants (even with the water pills).  But add the pandemic gain to that and it's really starting to depress me.  I had heard about this and filed it away for "some day".  If you report back here that you liked the results I might do it sooner!

I looked on the company’s website and they’re not selling the system right now. On Walmart.com, there are other similar systems for sale, but none of them are in stock. But you can get an email notification when they are in stock again. But I remember seeing on Pinterest a while back where you can use frozen gel packs and do it yourself. (I can’t find it on Pinterest anymore to check the instructions). I went so far as buying the gel packs but keeping them in place is a real struggle which is why these ready made systems are probably more superior.  Maybe if you have one of those Velcro back braces, you could keep them in place. Might be worth a try.

When JB was talking about being angry, he says that you might build a wall between your kids and God because that for the kids "their view of God is the same view they have of their father". Is he saying that his kids think he is God?

I understand what JB was trying to say..... the Bible says that God is our ABBA Father, a common term that expresses affection, confidence and trust. Yes, revere, honor and respect God, but don’t be afraid to go to Him with your problems, fears or concerns much like you would do to your earthly father. Unfortunately, some earthly fathers don’t deserve honor or respect. So, if a person wouldn’t go to their earthly father, they very well may turn against their Heavenly Father.

But his skin care was on point and he wore this salmon shirt which bought out the warmth in his skin.

Well, Clinton Kelly always said that salmon was the universal color that brings out the best in everyone no matter your skin coloring!

Just a guess, but is she Natalie Reeves from Beauty and the Geek?

I believe you’re right. She looks like the same girl. You can find their “love” story on The Knot and the info was pretty much the same as he related on HH.

  7. I just read a book that stated that Las Vegas had to outlaw olive trees because the pollen from them was so horrendous that it made people very sick. If you have an old olive tree in your yard, you have to keep it trimmed up to lessen the pollen. Who knew? And when I think of olive trees, Las Vegas would have been the last place I would have thought of having them.

This is why I refuse to wear shoes in my house.  My shoes live in a shoe organizer in the garage and don't even make it inside.  Outside the door, shoes come off and house shoes or slippers  go on.  I have been doing this for many years.  I had a special area in the garage for my shoes from the hospital when I was still working.

I have wanted to do this for a long time. How do you deal with guests coming into you house? I remember someone saying one time (on one of those doctor talk shows) that’s it’s very rude to ask a guest to remove their shoes.

Even now, I walk into every store with a clorox wipe opened on each hand.  I touch NOTHING with my bare hands.

Whenever they are available again, I’m only buying Lysol wipes. I have ruined several of my tops leaning onto grocery cart handles after using Clorox wipes. And dang it, one of them was brand new, the first time I wore it!

Maybe the 'no fear' sign if about Covid-19 and not about how she was raised. Do we know to what this sign is referring to? Did Jill say?

As I said in an earlier post, “I’m no longer a slave to fear” is a line in the song “No longer slaves” by Bethel Music. As Christians, we have put our faith in Jesus Christ and no longer live in fear of anything this world throws at us, including Covid 19. Not that you aren’t supposed to live smartly, but if the absolute worse happens, like losing your life, you will be in the presence of God, in a perfect world, for all of eternity. I encourage anyone to go to YouTube and listen to the words of this song. My favorite line in the song is “He split the sea so I could walk right through it”, meaning anyone is welcomed into God’s family.

  11. I love those “#care enough” spots shown during commercials with the Hallmark stars giving us encouraging words and they are wearing NO MAKE-UP! If they didn’t have their names under their pictures, I wouldn’t have even recognized some of them!  LOL.  So, I’ve decided that’s my problem... if I wore more make-up, I’d be stunning! 😉

It’s snowing. SNOWING. I wouldn’t mind winter if it didn’t last 500yrs. December-Feb okay, but here it’s winter like weather until MAY for Pete’s sake. See!!!

Today, in my city in FL, it’s 86 degrees with a “feels like temperature “ of 94 degrees.

Jill seems to be finding her stride.  She doesn’t get it right 100% of the time (who does?!) but it’s evident that she’s found some flaws within her life and at least tries to be better.

Except when it comes to a clean house. Holy Moses she’s messy! It drives this “neat-nik” crazy. You should see me straighten up the house for my Zoom meetings!

In local news, after a phone consult with my trusted appliance repair folks, it seems that my washing machine is DOA. What's almost certainly wrong with it, is so serious that repairing it would be so expensive I might as well replace it.

I feel your pain. My oven died last week and repairman said replacing it would be better. But the stove top still works, so I’m going to try to hold out until the Memorial Day sales. I cooked my son’s frozen pizza on my gas grill. It turned out great!
