  1. I tried to attach a picture, but it said my file was too big. I believe Alyssa chose those bold colors was because those were the colors Kelly Jo had at her wedding. I didn’t see bridesmaids dresses from Kelly Jo’s wedding, but I saw decorative bows and church flowers and they were the same bold colors as Alyssa picked.

I saw her taking pictures. And the ice hotel is real so I assume they've got the showering etc. figured out.

I was reading a couple of articles about the Ice Hotel. There are no bathrooms in the hotel. You have to use the bathrooms in the spa area. One article said to plan your bathroom duties before you tuck yourself in for the night. I gather it’s not like a regular hotel where you stay several nights. I believe it’s only a one-night stay.

The only one who seems to be able to hold a conversation is Riley.  And also  the only one who seems to ask questions   SMH for 6 yr olds.

You know, though, that’s the way kids are. I was a teacher for 35 years and it frustrated the heck out of me when a child, normally very articulate, gets in front of the camera or on stage, and suddenly becomes mumbly-mouthed. And my 4 year old grandson, who speaks like a professor, can’t be heard when I try to tape something cute on my phone!

And when she pulled out the sewing machine to whip up a new dress for herself - well, that was the end for me.

If you could call that a sewing machine! It was barely an upgrade from a children's machine. At least she didn't staple the dress together,

I believe it was a portable sewing machine used by wedding planners for emergencies. However, she wasn’t at the resort for a wedding (until she saw her former classmates there). Maybe a stylist always carries her machine.

Sturrup pants were great with boots!

I had stirrup pants in every color. I wore them with tunic length sweaters and my ballet flats. Then one day on Oprah, a stylist was on and brought a young lady on stage wearing stirrup pants, sweater and ballet flats. She said NEVER wear stirrup pants with anything except boots. They were made for boots. I didn’t own boots and never wore stirrup pants again!

  6. Re: Playing Cupid. I couldn’t believe how grungy Nicholas Gonzalez looked.  Nothing like the great Dr. Melendez from The Good Doctor! 😁LOL

Agree whole-heartedly with the friendship between a parent and teacher... A huge no-no in my school district. In fact, we even had workshops telling us that, among other offenses.

  7. Ok, I don’t understand all this streaming stuff...can you still get your local channels with these streaming services? Someone told me I’d need an antenna to get local stations and I don’t want an ugly antenna on my new beautiful metal roof.

I couldn't get passed Autumn Reeser's hair in the Glenbrooke movie.  It was soo "hot roller' matronly hair and she's not that old.

That must be a new kind of style. Nikki Deloach had a version of that hairdo on Cranberry Christmas and we have a TV anchor and a field reporter who sport those hairdos, too.

  9. Jen Lilly was on Hallmarks Home and Family today and she looked absolutely emaciated. Her waist was itty-bitty and her face was very thin. Even her hair was thinner, although the lack of extensions could have caused that.  I always thought she looked fine and I hate it when beautiful actresses feel like they have to do this.

So, after going gluten free due to celiac disease, now I must be dairy-free as well due to inflammation issues. The background: for months it felt like I had a frog in my throat and I was constantly clearing it. I thought it was from Covid back in April and went to the Dr. The doctors could not figure out what was causing it and said "post nasal drip" as a blanket explanation. The gucky throat kept on, I kept trying to clear it.

By happenstance a couple weeks ago, I hadn't had any dairy in days. I felt much better and the symptom was practically gone. I introduced dairy again and the congestion came right back. So, there's the cause. I am now gluten and dairy free--not that I ever drank much milk but I did like yogurt and kefir.

What frustrates me is it's hard enough being strictly gluten free, now this? Also--I really dislike doctors nowadays. They talk to you for 2 minutes, don't get a full history or really dig into what's going on. I figured this out myself (just like the last 3 things that were wrong with me). Do they not care any more? They go to school for all those years and spend all that money to do what? It never used to be like this with doctors.

I still have the post nasal drip and it did NOT cause the throat guck. Dairy did. Since removing dairy my running has improved quite a bit, too.

I also have to gluten free, dairy free, egg free, legume free due to allergies (eczema and inflammation). Coconut milk works for me. And it doesn’t have a strong coconut taste. The coconut yogurt is pretty good and so is the coconut “ice cream”. My favorite brand is “So Delicious”.  But I really miss cheese.  However breaking out head to toe in eczema is worse. And my arthritis pain has subsided.

  11. My son is visually impaired and you know what they say, when you lose one of your senses, the others seem to magnify. Well, I call him Spidey-ears because of his uncanny sense of hearing. In this ridiculous technological world, we’ve always got something chirping or beeping around us. I can never figure where the sound is coming from but my own personal “Spider-Man “ figures it out every time!

May I ask how long that takes you?  I walk for an hour up and down hills in our subdivision almost every day and it takes me an hour and my device says about 3 miles and about 7300 steps.  I just don't want to walk more than that.  It takes me an hour to cool off and then shower.  Seems like all morning is taken up with it.

I have the exact same question. I need a hip replacement now, so I can’t walk like that anymore, but I could never make it to 10000 steps a day by walking 1 hour outside per day plus all my regular steps around the house! I swore something was wrong with my Fitbit! I have an acquaintance who walks 6-8 MILES a day but starts at 5 am. Forget that! That is really time consuming. Not to mention, it’s plum dangerous to walk like that in the dark.

  13. My favorite YouTube exercise videos are the HASfit videos. They run the gamut from hard-core exercise to chair exercises. They have dozens of chair exercise videos. I like the ones where the guy is doing the standing exercises and his wife is seated showing you the seated variations. Sometimes I like to do some of the standing exercises, and the rest I do seated. Also, if you have a particular problem like sciatica, bad hips, neck pain, etc., they show you exercises to relieve those problems. I swear, their sciatica stretches alleviated my problem that plagued me for 3 years.

I thought it was completely ridiculous that someone who owns a business called Emergency Plumbing, blah , blah, blah had to even question if he was essential. Really? Of course you are essential dumbass!

I too was surprised at the lack of face coverings but that was at the very early stages of the pandemic when people were being told that masks didn’t make a difference.

The name of his business is Tennessee Standard. The word “emergency “ is no where on his truck (at least on the side). I gathered that he wanted to make it known to the guy on the phone that he was willing to make emergency calls, thus securing his business as essential.

If anyone has watched That Girl (I was a teen when it came out, and wanted Marlo's wardrobe) my hair looks like Rosemary DeCamp's, who played her mother.  I haven't taken to wearing it in a bun like she did, yet.  I'm OK with it, for now.  I cut Mr. Xword's hair, and he doesn't complain.

I LOVED That Girl!!! I wanted Marlo’s wardrobe, her hair, and an apartment with the view of the Empire State Building (that you saw at the end of the beginning credits). 😁
