Wow, if a Group A ticket gives you standby, what does a Group C ticket offer?  A weekend with Meghan?

Ha! There were only two options - Priority and Group A.  Maybe the "A" was just to make us feel better.

In her previous incarnation as a “cool young Republican who supports gay rights”, Meghan often appeared on Rachel’s show. They even went to a gun show together. Very interested to see how they interact tomorrow.

Since I'd already planned to be in NY this week, I put in a last minute ticket request. I received a 'Group A' ticket (aka standby) and made it into the audience for the Maddow episode. I also attended Rachel's first stop on her book tour tonight so it was pretty much a Rachel Thursday for me. Best day ever 🙂

Anyway, Rachel and Meghan greeted each other warmly (everyone received a hug when she came out on crutches). And when she left the stage after her segments she and Meghan kissed each other on the cheek.

  3. I watched the whole thing but managed to stay spoiler free. I was shocked. Then I searched online and read through some social media posts that gave me an idea of how the UK fans were feeling. Oh well. My actual favorite person on the show was Ovie. I love that guy!

  4. I've watched 3 seasons of Love Island UK. And I liked it enough to give the US version a shot.  It's great to have on in the background when multitasking with work or house cleaning 🙂 I can be a bit distracted and still not miss much. The announcer was my favorite part of the UK version as I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times. He was hilarious.

For now, I find myself overly concerned with Alana's wig and the odds of it staying in the villa as long as she does. We've had some severe weather here this evening so I've missed a bit of the show due to the interruptions. I'll have to catch up and watch it on demand later.

  5. Okay, I'm not sure how I posted nothing but blanks. It might have been my dog walking across my keyboard. Since I am here...

I just started watching the current season but I watched seasons 2, 3 and 4 before this one. I'm on episode 3 and at this point cant keep most of their names straight. For the guys, I know there's a sandwich guy (because Mr. voice over mentions it 😂), a firefighter and a boxer. And for the girls, I can remember Amber (not a good first impression) and the scientist (most likely to wither away from neglect).  I suppose I'll pick up everyone's names soon enough.

I'll be watching more and will catch up to you guys soon!

I mean, the guy IS 92 years old. I don't know that there are many in the over-90 set who would qualify as hunkier than Hal Holbrook.

Exactly. I was actually thinking that he has great hair for someone his age.

    Edited to add: Amelia sucks.

She might want to delete that tweet since thanks to MTV, her  convicted felon  with no marketable skills self is able to earn 300000 a season.

H ...h....h...how much? $300K per season? I don't follow these folks that closely so I have no idea how much they make.

  8. When "naked wasted" happened I actually stopped watching this show for some time. I thought it was downright disgusting to intentionally get someone drunk enough to put them in a vulnerable position. And now we have this. I am absolutely no fan of Kelly. But seeing Heather hand her drinks at the 'picnic' when she was clearly saying no and to see Shannon  doing the same thing says a lot about them. They know that Kelly is a mess. And they handle it by trying to get her drunk so she can once again go off the rails?

    Sick.

Shannon was responding to Kelly's criticism of the ensembles on display at the party. In addition to her screams of "you're ugly" and attacks against physical characteristics, Kelly derided the outfits of David ("you look like a pedophile"), Shannon ("you look like Mrs. Roper"), etc.

Shannon was making the point that Kelly's tan suede ensemble and beads evoked buckskins and the like.

That being said, it was from my perspective a weird point on which to return fire.

And I started to get uncomfortable when Shannon tried to make her "dances with bullshit" joke because a) Indian names were often mistranslated in the first place, b) the comedy hinges on facile stereotype, and c) it wasn't even a somewhat clever pun like "Sh*tting Bull."

Thanks. I kind of wondered about the Indian reference so I hit rewind to check out Kelly's party outfit. I saw the tan suede and thought 'maybe...'. Ah well, I can see a basis for Shannon's comment. That whole screaming lunch scene was annoying. And yes, the whole party situation seemed like a set up. Not sure by who but I guess the show needed some drama.

  10. I thought I was the only one watching this show! Since I watched from the beginning I had to stick it out until the bitter end. I just want to know why 'Kimmie' had to wait until he worked his way through the alphabet to turn her down. D is for the..... eyeroll! That was crazy.

I also picked Christina through my awesome power of elimination skills. Heh. There was no way Roxie was it. He acted like he didn't even like her. And he kept telling Kimmie  'I want you to be mine' Grrr. She's amazing and runs multi-million dollar businesses. Ohh.. okay. So that left Christina who he actually seemed to be a bit nervous around. And he definitely seemed to find her sexy. I didn't really see anything more than that.

So there ya go. Christina for the win.

I saw Trump's quote in an online article, and "bigly" was there. I never thought of "big league." That makes more sense than a made-up word. (I'm trying to remember another quote of Trumps from months back with a nonexistent word. Seems that also was supposed to mean huge.)

It makes sense in Trump's mind, kind of like saying "big time," i.e., "That's going to be proven out big time."

Schlonged. Okay, maybe that wasn't the word but I just had to type it to remind myself that he actually said it. Because, you know, Hillary got schlonged.

I still watch the Daily Show every night (or DVR it). Last night's episode on Alabama was good. I'd been following it on Maddow who has featured it on multiple nights. And I loved the country song.

Go to the app and vote for everyone else. I really love the voting app. It is really easy to log votes strategically and feel way more important than I actually am.

Alisan was amazing. Her voice is impressive every week but I think this was a better performance because she didn't try to do too much. I liked more people than I didn't this week. Team Christina was so strong overall and I love it. I want Chirstina (and Alisan) to get that win!

I like Shayla but she sounds like she is killing her voice. She's very very good but I think she's a few years away from coming in to her own. I'm also really tired of Adam selling himself. I want to work with Shayla! Vote for me! No, Adam.

ETA: no spoiler, I just cannot get rid of the spoiler tag. Change is bad.

Yes, that's pretty much what I did. I liked Alisan's performance as well as a few others so I voted for them. Hannah, you get nothing! :)
