  1. I hate to sound this unkind and I am being serious not snarky. I really worry that Chrissa may have some type of disability or is in some way "off." She seems like a sweet person but there is definitely something different going on with her. I was relieved that she was sent home quickly just so that she was not being yelled at and emotionally damaged for the whole show. Overall, I like this group better than the past few groups. (At least so far.) It still kills me that every single year someone serves Chef Ramsey bottled sauce/frozen pasta/canned vegetables without fail despite his having the exact same reaction every time it happens. Interesting stuff about Dean McDermott. It really confirms the suspicions I have had for quite a while.
  2. I am sure that jobs in the entertainment industry are limited for former athletes. However, I am equally sure that jobs outside of it are plentiful. What school would not want to hire an athletic coach who won a Gold Medal at The Olympics for example? Not to mention that an amateur athlete at that level would qualify for every college scholarship in the country so you could theoretically pick any major or career path you wanted! The downside of this is that there are no cameras there. So reality TV it is! With the exception of Leeza, I dislike this entire group. I do love watching their challenges though! That makes watching Donald and the "celebrities" worth it.
  3. Maybe they are holding out hope that one of these contestants will someday practice cooking scallops and risotto before getting there. That is one of the most baffling parts of the show to me. If the menu is the same year after year, why do they still get contestants who don't know how to cook the food on the never-changing Hell's Kitchen menu? I have always wondered about that but don't think they are professional actors. I think they are people who see this on TV and think they can do this just as well as the professionals. (And they are almost always wrong.)
  4. I would imagine there are a couple of reasons for this: 1.The producers think that the more messed-up people they can recruit for the show, the more humor and drama they can mine out of them. 2. There might not be a whole lot of mature, responsible, sane chefs who actually want to put up with Ramsey or have their employers see them as "characters" on a heavily edited reality TV show.
