  1. She might be losing a lot of her hair from wearing the hajib all of those years. Amish women lose their hair too from pulling it back tight and wearing a bonnet over it.
  2. They are all going to/in NY. Brett just posted a picture of Daya and they are clearly in NY. https://www.facebook.com/Brett.A.Otto?fref=ts
  3. Between the crossed eyes and the inappropriate smile, my skin just crawls. I find it irritating that you can tell that no matter how much people try to use reason and logic with her, she's just set on doing what she wants to do. Children, job, finances, family, integrity and self respect be damned.
  4. Ugh that happened to me too! I'm too addicted to this show because I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Husband thinks I'm nuts now lol.
  5. I just remember Amy speaking up in that whole conversation and making some funny jokes that Danny's dad seemed to relax and laugh at.. which seemed to be a big improvement from even refusing to shake her hand.
  6. She's a blonde American girl who can fluently communicate with him and pimped herself out as being from a family with wealth in the land of opportunity.
  7. I think it seems to be a responsible decision on his part. However, if he wants to get into entertainment, you strike while the iron is hot... i.e parlaying off of the album his band just put out and the popularity of this show. If he waits a year he may miss whatever opportunity he had.
  8. Danny's dad started out being the bigoted ass that he is, however, he did seem to come around. It is nice to see Amy use her sweetness and charm to break down his walls a bit. (alcohol probably helped too)
  9. For Jason - this is what happens when you are a middle aged man trying to have a relationship with a 23 yr old. I can't even get mad at Cassia.. she's basically a kid and she probably wants to go out and have fun and party. At 23, I had started my career, but I still had a lot of energy and wanted to go out and do things with young people. Cassia isn't going to enjoy being jammed between you and your dad in your shitty El Camino perusing drug seize auctions in Geriatrictown USA. She's far from home, in an unfamiliar place, and doesn't know anyone. I don't find it surprising that she'd have what amounted to a panic attack and cry.
  10. I don't know if this has been mentioned, but Mo's fb page now shows that he lives in Sandusky, OH, as opposed to Qatar.
  11. While I tend to think the sink of dishes was yet another TLC setup for drama and shits and giggles, I agree with the rest of what you are saying parisprincess.
  12. Yep just looking at it I caught that too. And the internet really does make the world a smaller place!
  13. No worries. I didn't take it that way!
  14. Really?? I see it as the first post on her page. It's a public post made 11 hrs ago.
  15. Also Daya's karaoke post was really good and seems to highlight that her and Brett have a fun relationship. https://www.facebook.com/dhiah.drc?fref=pb&hc_location=profile_browser
  16. So I hope this is the proper place to post... I think if you look at Jason, Cassia, Brett, and Daya's facebook pages they currently seem to interact like normal couples. It looks like those 2 couples in particular are friends. And it appears Cassia reads this board as she screen capped and responded to something it looks like RealityGal posted here. https://www.facebook.com/caahtaavaress?fref=ts
  17. I'm new here, and I apologize. I'm still trying to catch up on the threads and learn how to navigate.
  18. I used to live in the Naples/Ft. Meyers area and agree there are a plethora of amazing beaches on the gulf coast. I think they just did it to make the story line funny. And I'm from Philadelphia, and while the middle of PA is definitely Pennsyltucky, where Danny lives is not. Perhaps that is where the father and the family lived growing up, in a way more rural area, but it doesn't excuse his behavior. I agree with the posters who have said that Danny and his family have probably attempted to address his father's racism in the past, but were completely shut down. The way I see it is he exposed and embarrassed himself on national television, so at this point the family doesn't need to fight him on it anymore.. he shot himself in the foot on that one.
  19. It's probably not right for anyone to generalize even based on their own experiences, however there is obvious concern to motive in the whole "mail order bride" type market. The thing with Sue is she expressed her concern to her friend, Brett, and that's as far as she should have gone. He is an adult and made his decision, and from that point, because he is her friend, she should have simply been polite to Daya. And I say this as someone who isn't Daya's biggest fan.
  20. I think with Danielle she is also addicted to the attention and response she gets from some of these online sites. She's likely never had anyone pay attention to her, especially attractive men, and so she has gotten herself into a habit of seeking out self esteem this way.
  21. And let's not forget there may be a huge element of TLC setting it up to seem worse than it is to create a storyline and drama. Because without it, what really is interesting about watching the two of them?
  22. Agree to disagree. While he doesn't need to get into gory details by any stretch, I believe a future spouse has a right to know what they are marrying into, including how that affects the person's state of mind and who they will be and exposing children to if they start their own family.
  23. Meh... I don't think you should have to interpret your fiance's behaviors. Be clear about why you don't want them in your life and don't take her to meet them at all. Or at least don't wait until the meeting to spring on them that you are engaged. When Justin met with his brother later on, he said he expected them to say "congratulations" and pat him on the back. If he knows how terrible they are, why would he expect that? I do agree the family should have swallowed their shock a bit, and tried to be more supportive in that moment, but besides the terrible SIL's reaction, I don't think anyone elses was that hard to relate to. I don't see him giving concrete reasons to Evelin why he doesn't want his family involved, and he owes that to her if they are marrying. Heck when he introduced her to his friends, the friend's main concern was with her having to meet the SIL. I guess I'm just blind to what the big problem is, other than her.
