  1. Addison! Loved all of her scenes. It feels like a repeat of the Owen/Cristina storyline and it was depressing enough to watch with them, I don't have to see it again with Amelia/Linc. My partner and I aren't married either, but if this issue came up and he wanted to get hitched, I could imagine doing it for him. Since the Owen/Cristina story ended with basically little compromise and an abortion, I'd like this story to end a bit differently and not - like I think will happen - Linc realizing he's "wrong." That would be great! It's already been mentioned on Grey's several times though. Her reluctance to have children made more sense when she first became pregnant again, but not wanting more children is a valid stance even without the tragic background.
  2. I think the reason is simple. She was easily one of the most popular stars on Greys who won an Emmy. Losing her could have hurt the show more than it actually did. I totally understand why they wouldn't want to lose her.
  3. Ah but maybe she was genuine nonetheless? Personal growth and all. Besides, according to Heigl, she apologized to Rhimes in person after making those comments. She also apologized for her comment about Knocked Up, even though she made it clear at the time that she liked the movie, just not her character. I guess I'm more about forgiveness than people in Hollywood 😉
  4. Washington seems very unlikable to me. And I always appreciated that Heigl stood up for Knight when basically no one else did. That says more about her character than criticizing a storyline publicly. I really wonder what is it about Heigl that makes people dislike her so much? She's been very polite and nice about the show for about 10 years now. She admitted her mistakes. Why are people still holding grudges and bringing up stuff? I remember loving the fact that Heigl spoke out against her bad storylines. I didn't even mind that she did it publicly. The George/Izzy thing was BAD. I also remember Shondra giving Heigl bad publicity just before Heigl's own show premiered years ago (which later flopped). And it's not like everyone on Greys hates her. JC seems to be on good terms with her, for example. I just fail to see why the show sees no problem in bringing Washington back for a few episodes and not Heigl. It's weird.
  5. I LOVED this episode! The only thing wrong with it is that Chambers and Heigl weren't actually in it. It would have worked better as a storyline onscreen than just a revelations through letters. I know Izzie has a lot of haters now, but I remember the time when she was of the most popular characters on the show. What I never understood is that Izzie was hated for "leaving Alex" when she only left for a few WEEKS & then came back to make up. Alex rejected her, felt he deserved better (which may have been true at the time) and told her to leave FOR GOOD. And then it was like that last part was totally ignored and Izzie was the one who turned her back on her marriage for good. That always really bothered me, especially when Meredith said things like "Izzie wasn't your true love" and 'Jo is not Izzie. She won't leave." Even Alex was sorry about sending Izzie away (which came out after he was shot). So to me, both were at fault for the divorce and since Alex himself regretted his actions, it wasn't a stretch that he felt things were unfinished between them (which is true). It also felt unfinished between Meredith and Izzie since Meredith begged Izzie to stay & she didn't. I hope Meredith does visit the farm and patches things up with Izzie for good. I don't hate Jo though. In fact, after this episode, I'm more interested in her than ever.
  6. Mason - Lane Davies was the best. The other two actors were okay. Ted - I liked Todd McKee. He had chemistry with his leading ladies (Laken, Hayley), but his storylines never seemed to go anywhere. Not the actor's fault. That said, I don't blame the show for not giving him leading stories. The other Capwells were more interesting. Kelly - I loved Robin Wright and she became a big star, but I really loved Carrington Garland, too. Eileen Davidson (whom I loved as Kristen on Days of Our Lives) was simply miscast. Kimberly McArthur wasn't that bad, she just wasn't very good. Gina - I loved Robin Mattson and was told by another fan that the first Gina wasn't that good. But when I got the chance to watch the early years, I was surprised by how much I liked Linda Gibboney. She was really good. CC - Jed Allan is the best. Peter Mark Richman was okay, Paul Burke was terrible and Charles Bateman's C.C. was too cold. Keith - I loved Justin Deas. Santana - I liked Ava Lazar and Margaret Michaels. Gina Gallego is a good actress, but her Santana annoyed me because she was so needy all the time. Wanda De Jesus was too cold in the role. Warren - John Allen Nelson was good as Warren. I didn't like Jack Wagner in the role because it turned into the Warren Lockridge Show (and then it turned into the Jodie Walker Show). Minx - Liked both actresses, but Dame Judith Anderson was better suited.
  7. Mason and Julia are wonderful! I loved Lane Davies and NLG together, and I wish Davies would have returned at some point. That said, Gordon Thomson and Terry Lester did an okay job of replacing him. In fact, one of my favorite M/J stories took place when Terry played Mason: when the duo had to hide Sasha's corpse in the freezer. :)
  8. I tried giving this show a chance. It's fun that the old Ducktales characters are back, but I find the new show lacking a heart and I just can't get used to the new style (the backgrounds are beautiful but the ducks are so rough-looking.) The only real improvement is that Webby is no longer a fourth nephew wannabe. Launchpad is okay, but has become way too stupid in some episodes. The stories themselves take too long to get to the point. Sure, the show is amusing at times, but I miss the warmth of the original. I do like Donald as an overprotective parent, but that's it. Hoping for a better reboot in the future.
  9. And I also agree about Santana #3. She was irritating, to say the least. I preferred Ava Lazar and Margaret Michaels. Number 4, Wanda De Jesus, wasn't terrible but she was incredibly cold in her scenes. Everyone seemed to like Pearl but I didn't like him either. The only time he was bearable was when he dated Courtney (loved her!) My all-time favorite storyline was the one with Elena Nikolas (a.k.a. Eleanor Norris) and its aftermath (Cruz's trial, Pamela's return).
  10. ICAM! Mary's verbal abuse of Mason was annoying. She was soooo judgemental. And not just with Mason. She was terrible and vicious to Ted when he was accused of Christie's rape. Which is sort of understandable, but still... I liked M&M together but IMO, Julia was far more loving and accepting of Mason. Brick and Amy were likable but a bit boring. Whenever I see 1984 episodes, I usually FF them (along with Ted, Laken, Danny and Jade). I agree that Lionel's behavior was questionable when he had that yucky fling with Eden. I loved Lionel & Augusta and was disappointed that Lionel ended up with Gina (whose true love was Keith) in the end. Speaking of Gina, I loved both Linda Gibboney and Robin Mattson. They were both able to bring out Gina's human, vulnerable side. It's interesting to see how awful Robin Wright was in those early days. But she became very good very fast. Todd McKee's acting improved as well. What did you all think of early characters like Summer Blake, Liz Peale and Veronica?
