  1. I wish more there would've been more Luke and Jess scenes! I'm excited to read this:)
  2. I didn't like the Richard in Stars Hollow episode in season 2. He is very annoying in this episode, and rude to Lorelai. I would switch that one out for Lorelai's Graduation Day. I love Jess and Rory and that scene where Lorelai walks across the stage and looks at her parents. It gets me everytime. I also don't like watching Keg! Max! since Jess is awful in this episode, and I hate seeing him being such a jerk. Although if I were Rory in that upstairs bedroom, the episode would've ended much differently! I would trade this one out with The Big One because of the Paris meltdown. Also Lazy Hazy Crazy Days is great too. And I would add to season 4 Last Week's Fights This Week's Tights since this is when Luke gets things moving with Lorelai.
  3. I think the Logan relationship lasted too long. It should have been a phase for Rory, maybe about a year tops. They should have broken up and stayed broken up in season 6 and of course leaving room for Rory to be on her own then or reunite with Jess.
  4. Also, when it comes to people criticizing Rory over her work and life decisions, she deals with the criticism worse every season and is more entitled as the show goes on. Her fault and also everyone around her who treats her like she can do no wrong. Cut to end of season 4 and season 5 beginning when Lorelei catches Rory and Dean together, she will NOT speak to her mother about it because Rory is in denial of how horrible the affair is and how it affects more than just her (selfish!). Rory Gilmore thinks she can do no wrong! She tries to justify her decision and make it sound like the right one. They were safe, it's with a guy she loves and that treats her right, dean's marriage doesn't count because they're both unhappy, he was Rory's boyfriend first. Yikes! Cut to the end of season 5, where Mitchum criticizes her as a journalist and she steals a yacht and commits a felony. What happened, Rory?! And there is no way she would have done this if she was with someone other than Logan. As much as Rory is said to be a practical person with endless pro con lists behind major decisions, she sure acts impulsively. -skips school to go to NY to see Jess (yay!) -kisses Jess at Sookie's wedding (yay!) -sleeps with Dean (boo!) -steals a yacht (boo!) She just gets progressively worse as the show goes on.
  5. I just finished season 4 and started season 5 and I hate Rory right now. I never noticed the first time I watched the series how selfish, entitled, and bratty she is in these seasons. It's downhill from here. I miss seasons 1-3 Rory:( Dean's hair is awful too!
  6. I think the series should have ended at 6 but change how things went. Rory gets her life back together after Jess makes her realize it was a mess. There is no April. Luke and Lorelai stay together and she does not get marry Christopher but Luke. Lane and Zach get married but she does not get pregnant, and they go on tour together. Lorelai and Rory's fight is not as long. Rory and Jess get back together since he'd be ok with her Rory traveling for work and Logan is awful. Time fasts forward to skip her senior year so they can show she graduates and gets an internship. Happy endings for all. When Luke and Lorelai end the series finale together or at least it's implied, I was happy but I feel like the damage was done. Too many bad things happened already.
  7. "This bible belongs to God, but is being used by Dave Rygalski" hahaha
  8. I know I'm not being specific but anything by Paris or Mrs. Kim. They crack me up!
  9. Something that I didn't like about that episode is the goodbye Rory gave Lane. Sure they had spoken earlier but Rory sees her best friend leaving for possibly a long time and she sits with Dean and just waves? No extra hug or one last talk before she goes? I always hated that.

    Dean

I agree! Dean was being a bitter jerk. I feel like he wasn't taking responsibility for his awful decisions. We are not supposed to feel sorry for you. You did this to yourself! Marrying too young while still pining for Rory, being a horrible husband, cheating, and then blaming others for his actions. And Rory? I can't believe she slept with him then defended her decision to her mother by saying that he was her boyfriend first. Yikes.
  11. My list is almost the same. My favorites are: The Bracebridge Dinner A-tisket a-tasket There's the Rub Lorelai's Graduation Day I Can't Get Started ( Great season finale even though it's pro-Christopher) Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days They Shoot Gilmores, Don't They? Those Are Strings, Pinnochio Last Week's Fights, This Week's Tights Raincoats and Recipes So most of my favorites have to do with quirky Stars Hollow events and Rory/Jess. Go figure!
  12. When I first watched the show, I was younger and liked Dean. What a great boyfriend, I thought. On second watch, I hate Dean and love Jess. Dean was jealous, insecure, and their relationship, although started as innocent and cute, was mostly one-sided. What DID they talk about (As Jess asked in The Bracebridge Dinner episode)? Season one Dean is more tolerable but Season 2 Dean is pathetic and annoying and just blah. Jess was more intriguing, interesting, and seemed to breathe life into Rory. Jess is really unlikable in The Keg!Max! Episode and also The Face Off, which are the episodes I most remember from my first watch. And I agree with you about that scene in the upstairs bedroom at the party. Out of character for Jess. And come on, Rory, your boyfriend is hot and you guys are 18. But the next year, you sleep with your married ex? Wrong choice. I really do love watching seasons 2 and 3 for all of the sweet Rory and Jess moments. :)
  13. I absolutely love Rory and Jess although their relationship in season 3 frustrates me. Jess wasn't ready, and they both needed to communicate to each other. Just talk to each other!! Season 6 Jess was perfect for Rory, but Rory at that time wasn't ready. In my mind, they figured out the timing and got together. Ugh, don't get me started on Dean and Logan.
  14. Woops I just saw that this subject was in previous threads! Thanks for replying! I also find myself changing the ranking of seasons 1 and 4 depending on the day. I loved reading your opinions on the seasons. I need to re-watch 6-7 as they are a blur to me. Thanks again!
