  1. A few things, 1) previously.tv's editor for posting is horribly confusing. 2) The episode took place inside the confession dial (puzzlebox) and as such was a self contained system. 3) Time in the puzzlebox could pass without relation to what reality was doing. 4) There were two seperate time threads. For the puzzlebox, time passed linearly for billions of years. For *each* iteration of The Doctor, each time he stepped out of the teleport chamber, only a split second had passed since he was teleported into the puzzlebox. So for the doctor, Each iteration only lived for a day or two. And for the final iteration, Only a day or two had passed (to him) since Clara died, and he was teleported into the puzlebox. 5) Of interest, because the confession dial is The Doctor's *and* is Time Lord technology, all bets are off for how it works. For example, each room reset, which means that the clothing that was on the chair would also have reset. So it's very reasonable to think that the first doctor through wouldn't have to have walked around naked. Same thing with the phrase 'bird' in the dust/dirt. The wall was the gateway, so it wouldn't reset. 6) But, The Doctor would know he's been trapped in the puzzlebox for billions of years, So, The Doctor saw Clara die a day or two ago, and also realizes that he has died literally billions of times inside this puzzlebox, even if he can't remember all the deaths. He's going to be a hot mess trying to come to terms with that. 7) I Just don't understand people who hate a show so much, and keep watching it, just to post about how much they hated it. 8) I think the episode was intense, very well thought out and planned, and my only quibble with it was the musical score overwhelmed the dialogue at times and made it difficult to hear what Capaldi was saying.
  2. I... I couldn't root against anyone, I liked all the designers. That being said, I felt that Helen did the most creative work. And I don't believe the other two designers pushed hard enough to create new looks and not recycle older looks they had used in previous challenges. But does most creative mean Helen should win? I don't know, I could see the strengths of all three designers. So for me, I didn't mind the judges choices.
  3. One of the reasons I like the show is the supportive nature of the judges, there isn't the bitchy snarkfest that you see in the typical project runway allstars. The comments are generally constructive and positive. I do have to agree that the host is not particularly strong. And yet, I think she fits the nature of the show, mostly positive and tame.
  4. One of the more interesting things you can try to do is to try to eliminate the bias and look at the work. Try to take the season as a whole new event, as opposed to a continuation of the designers previous season(s). In this episode, I confess I was confused by their definition of 'couture'. Dresses I thought as too wearable and too simplistic, were lauded, and dresses that I thought were fantastic as high fashion were ignored. In general, I do think the bottom three were the three worst in the group. And honestly, any one of the three could have gone home and I would be hard pressed to argue for that person. One final point, I am noticing that there is an overall lack of drama this season that I'm finding refreshing. Being able to enjoy the season and look at the clothing as opposed to every little bit of drama (real or manufactured), has given me a bigger appreciation for the designers and their work. More episodes like these, please!
  5. I am so frustrated with some of you folks that I've actually signed up on the website so I can do some serious yelling. :) Korina was one of the top three designers on that season. You can call her a mean girl, call her whatever names you want, but her outrage at Char's repeated Tim Gunn saves really rankled her, so she lost her cool. First Tim brings Char back, ok, fine, Then Char is given extra time to fix a poorly sewn in zipper, anyone else, and Tim would have yelled at them and told them that time is up! Sure The other designers agreed to give her more time, but Tim basically put them on the spot and railroaded the group. And then, to add insult to injury, Char serves up a cup of hot mess, and instead of just chopping her for a subpar design, they pit her against Korina, who had the better design, had placed better the previous challenges, and had over all out performed Char on every level, in a one hour fashion off. Yep, Korina lost her composure, and she lost because she let her emotions get the better of her. Honestly, I think Korina could have sent down the perfect dress and she would have still lost to Char. I don't like saying the fix is in, But im this case, I think the producers had a hand in keeping Char in the competition. And if you don't think Korina felt utterly awful about how she acted, then you really have no empathy, because it was obvious that she absolutely devastated but how things unfolded. And it was just as obvious that she realized after the fact that, even if she was the better designer, she was wrong to react like she did. Then throw that Korina actually liked Char, and felt that she had let her friend down and really hurt someone she cared about because of how she acted, and yeah, I'm more than willing to cut Korina some slack. I've got plenty more to add, but I will save that for another time.
