  1. Did someone bring Hattie that tiara headpiece during the end of Friday's show that got preempted in my area?  She wasn't wearing it while Sami was there.

John and Hattie are a lovely dose of comedy relief.

For as much as I enjoy Stacy Haiduk's interpretation of Kristen, I was really hoping Roman would put her in a choke hold until she couldn't run her mouth anymore.  It seems like we've seen that particular Marlena-Ruined-My-Life diatribe a thousand times before.  Now that she can add in how Marlena pushed her out the window, has it changed a little?

Praise to Alison Sweeney for making Tyler Christopher wake up and actually seem present for his scenes!

Where did Hattie get the marriage license while she's been staying there in the hospital?

It makes me wonder if they sit in the writer's room and laugh at us for wondering about these details.

The women are trying hard to bring the drama but it’s all been kind of boring.

After the fight at Eddie's birthday party was over, it was like the episode dragged on and on.  Something is off with them this season.  Kelly and Emily signing a peace treaty so quickly didn't help matters.

After reading about Steve's shady past as a police officer and his current aspirations for political office, Kelly's accusations about Steve using Vicki for her money didn't sound totally unfounded.  While Kelly has a tendency to lose her temper, I can't remember her spreading outright lies.

  3. Talk about making a deal with the devil.  That was hilarious!  I loved it when she called Eric over to her bedside.

I can see Hattie being thrilled to be out of prison, and then pissed that she has to lay there in a hospital bed for the beloved Dr Marlena Evans, so I figured that's why she was giving Sami and Belle a hard time.

  4. Ohhhh, he created and starred in the HBO series Enlightened, in which Laura Dern played the wonderfully cringe-worthy Amy Jellicoe.  It will be weird to see him out on the island.

Can’t wait to see how she handles everything - and what she ends up doing.

D'Andra has one of the most compelling stories in the entire Housewives' universe, especially for someone who grew up with a controlling mother.  Her story actually brings some substance to the franchise, rather than the necessary scenery chewing...not that there's anything wrong with that.

  6. The looks on the faces of the people in the bar during the beer bonging was cracking me up.

Brandi and LeAnne are more interesting enemies than friends.  They both have fangs and they aren't afraid to bite.  I'm ready for this rivalry over D'Andra.

Was Brandi trying to get her friend Joyce on the show?  She got her name credited on screen at least 3 times.

I missed Stephanie but I suppose her absence was good for the Brandi/D'Andra friendship to evolve, which sets a match to LeAnne's jealousy.

I would like to hear more about Sam's DR if anybody feels like sharing.

"It just doesn't seem real.  But Kaycee promised me that everything would be OK.  If this is all a lie and at the end of it I'm standing there looking like a dumb ass...I will tear every door off its *bleep* hinges on my way out of the mother *bleep* and I will absolutely rip these bitches to shreds. I mean lose my mind.  And I swear on everything that's holy they will regret it."

  8. Regardless of how stupid the writing is, I'm still enjoying watching Stacy Haiduk.  I wonder what it was like acting opposite Tyler Christopher. He seems like such a bland scene partner.  If someone was paying attention, they'd try to incorporate some humor into their scenes.

Whatever happened to Vivian?  Why isn't she following Stefan around the DiMera mansion anymore?

Gabi going off about Saint Abigail made me think she could be posting on this board.

I also think that Stefano played a role in Kristen's breakdown and was the catalyst to her turning evil. It made sense to me that she would mention that she dreamt of Stefano while she was recuperating from her injuries. Stefano purported to love his children, but, in the end his depravity and narcissism destroyed them all.

You make a good point.  If I had taken the scene at face value, it was a way to inform the audience that Kristin holds Stefano responsible for her misdeeds and isn't even close to taking personal responsibility.

  10. It amused me that Kristin was found and rehabilitated by nuns.  It's like the perfect way for her twisted mind to believe her sins of the past have been washed away, and I can see how their mercy would inspire her to make her version of amends and think all would be well.  I wish they'd left out the part of Stefano coming to her in some kind of dream to motivate her revenge, because this could have been a much more interesting conversation if she was coming from a place of deep inner conflict and uncertainty of what drives her criminal behavior.  I know, wrong show.

I don't think Sonny asking Will where he stands with him is automatically evil but it does seem incredibly self-serving, especially when Will is currently in a relationship and his beloved Grandmother has just been shot.  It doesn't help that the actor doesn't play the scenes with a reluctance to ask the question.

  11. Stacy Haiduk is like a breath of fresh air.  If they insist on writing Kristin as a mustache-twirling villain, at least it's nice to see a new interpretation of the nonsense.  Plus, it looks like she's having fun playing the characters.

I was more annoyed that they wanted me to believe Sami would even bother talking to Hope without her lawyer present than I was that Kristin was trying to blackmail/rape Brady.

So, Sam definitely hates Haleigh because she's super jealous that Faysal likes Haleigh instead of her. Like that's painfully obvious at this point. It's actually really sad. Sam is such an embarrassment lol.

Young love.  It's a painful rite of passage for most of us, unfortunately.

  13. Most of the drinking and screeching felt storyline-dictated but Shannon and Tamra in the hot tub, and the Vicki/Shannon make-out session were good for a laugh.  I wondered why Kelly wasn't there with them but I suppose Production is determined to push their agenda of this happy Shannon/Vicki/Tamra reunion.

Unless the lawyer is going to bring some spectacular drama, she already feels like she's on the wrong show.  At least the other new housewife seems like she has a sense of humor.
