  1. Wow! I liked everything.

I clapped when Dany and Drogon showed up and burned that first group of people. Then of course I felt bad that all the soldiers were burning like that. It's funny I definitely wanted Dany to win but the two characters I am most invested in that moment we're Jaime and Bronn.

The Jon Dani stuff was great. I love when the show brings stuff back. Jon is Mance right now. I liked that she took his advise and used her dragons in a less kill innocents type of way. I know taking the Red Keep and King's Landing with the dragons would be a quick way to end but I'm not sure if it is the best for the long run and the image she is trying to convey. (This is not The Masters type of situation).

The Winterfell stuff was nice.  I am enjoying that Littlefinger can't seem to make headway with any of the Stark except Sansa. I am not sure what to think of Sansa. At one point I thought she seemed upset at Arya because Bran seemed to have more of a reaction to her (and gave her a knife) and Brienne was having fun with her. Probably just overthinking it and the taint of Litlefinger standing next to her making me feel suspicious.

Jon Theon was great. We don't get to see rage Jon a lot.

    Davos as always is awesome.

  2. Seeing Jon in the South was very exciting but weird. The scene with him walking the stairs was just so surreal to me. Jon and these backgrounds don't go together.  I liked that Jon played to his strengths - his honesty, humbleness, goodness, and Davos - and let them win people over.

I find myself frustrated with Jaime but I can't seem to quit him. Is the show trying to say that Dany should have just burnt King's Landing? So far a more "strategic" plan is not working.

Nice to see Sansa handling things.  Though I laughed when she gave Littlefinger a hard time about his advice about Cersei. Um Sansa, that was the same kind of advice you gave Jon before the battle. So obvious that of course you will be right no matter if it is followed or not.

I couldn't be mad at Cersei for her revenge. I loved Lena when Cersei sincerely question why her daughter was murdered.

I was underwhelmed with the Bran/Sansa reunion. It must have been the detachment of Bran. Or just that I felt the Jon/Sansa reunion was just so much better.

I am liking that Tyrion is being put into these uncomfortable positions by Dany (not that I necessarily blame her) with first Varys and then Jon.

Last but definitely not least, Olenna you are awesome and will be missed.

  3. This was my first live season opener. Binge watched all 60 episodes last July.  It did not disappoint. Though I kept looking at the clock waiting for Dany to show up.

    The things I really liked:

    - a strong confident King Jon (he has come a long way and developed through the seasons)

    - Sansa's smackedown of Littlefinger

    - the Frey demise (though I still don't get how a different face changes your whole body)

    - Everything Euron

    - jorah

    - the sad closure for The Hound with that father and daughter

Terry's subplot was boring and heavy handed.  I had trouble feeling a lot of sympathy.  Someone was rude to you, then you went inside to your nice house and went to your comfy, secure job the next day.  It sucks that happened to Terry, but people are rude to other people all the time.  When it happens to certain classes of people, of course, it's a big social issue.

And oh yeah, kudos and awards to a sitcom that took the bold step of expressing a popular opinion to a receptive and friendly audience.  It takes serious guts to do that!

It wasn't just "someone" who was rude to Terry.  It was a person in authority (with a gun) who is supposed to protect the community.  This situation is all about the power dynamic. This same dynamic doesn't exist with random strangers. In addition, the rudeness was only based on Terry's color.  So that takes it out of the "rude" category.

  5. So glad to see the 8 and their extendeds again. Though, as peridot said above, I am over the friend masturbating to Lito and Hernando.

I need Sun out of prison now! She needs to take care of her brother. I like that Kala's husband is so likeable.

It is going to take some time getting used to the new Capheus. The old actor was just so joyous that it will be hard to match. I did like (even if it was a bit much) the whole new face conversation.

This show does a great job having me care about the but I also care a lot for all the "sidekicks". Great job show.

    Bring on May!

  6. Thank you Jessica for not moving over in the movie theater. As someone who used to arrive early (no longer needed with the reserved seating), it is so annoying when people come last minute and expect you to move.  It is not my fault that you can't plan ahead or my schedule is more conducive to arriving early.  I know I sound harsh but this has happened to me too many times for me not to feel bitter about it.

  7. I am really liking this show.  I enjoy most of the relationships and interactions of the characters.  The weak spot for me, as others have mentioned, are the scenes with Dr. Cahill.  They just bug me.  I have come to the point of fast forwarding them.  I hate to do this but I just can't take them.  This is not because of the actors though.

Roger and Trish have probably move to the top of my list of favorite current TV married couples.

This killed me. You know if this were any other show this would be submitted for an Emmy. For this scene alone. But they won't. Jensen's voice and face when he says "wars in your name" OH NOPE. That killed me. I really felt Dean's disgust and disappointment with Chuck more than his anger. I don't know how Jensen does it. But I can FEEL what Dean feels in these kinds of moments. But all the awards please.

Thank you for this. I replayed this moment over and over again because even though I hurt for Dean, Jensen was just so awesome.

  9. Jensen in that First scene after seeing Kevin was so awesome. After 11 years he is still bring new and amazing sides to Dean. I had to reply when he said "nothing" over and over again because I had never heard that Dean voice.

I always liked Kevin and was sad and pissed when he died but I wasn't overly attached to him. But when he appeared tears came to my eyes.

I, too, am ready to have Cas back.

  10. Does it make me evil that I was cheering Damien taking those mercenaries out?

I didn't see Shay converting coming at all.

I hope Amani is not dead.

Just when it gets more awesome, it's over. I hope it comes back.

  11. Back to say, this is actually the first time I liked Bucky for himself. Previously, I only cared about him in relation to Steve and just thought the Winter Soldier was cool. I was actually concerned about him and not just how his outcome would effect Steve.

I also really enjoyed the perspective of Scott. Here you have this non-professional superhero thrown into this huge moment. I loved it.

  12. Just saw it again and still loved it. I failed to mention above that Natasha was extraordinary in this movie. I have found the evolution of the Cap/Black Widow relationship in all of these movies to be a high point. They work well off each other.

I think I was a little more angry with Tony about the end fight this time. And his words to Cap about the  shield. I know it was an emotional moment and I don't blame him at the start of the fight but as it went on it was clear that you had two guys just trying to get away and one guy set on destruction and murder. I am glad they added the Rhodey scene at the end because that definitely reminded me of why I like Tony.

Steve's letter at the end was perfect. Steve has always had strong convictions but has been able to own up to his wrong doings (hiding the truth about Tony's parents). He also let Tony know just because he didn't agree with Tony and the Accords he was ok with Tony following his own beliefs. And of course, he will have Tony's back if it is needed. For Steve, they are still friends.

    What a great movie!

  13. Loved it. The Damien/Greta scenes were well done. I smiled when her told her not to look at him that way. Poor Veronica. What a horrible way to go.

Loving Amani's loyalty. Can't wait for the finale. Has he fully embraced his destiny or is he just tired of everyone else's crap?

  14. This just gets better and better with each episode. I am really liking Damien's struggle.

His realization about Powell's actions and the look on his face when he closed the door. The calm and then the brutal violence was well done.

I was shocked by the doctor. This was a great way to show how seemingly normal people can be affected by Damien.

I am team Cap in this situation, although I think the idea of regulation would be necessary. He was going to change his mind and sign after they were caught in Romania until Tony mentioned Wanda being under house arrest. I think that's what solidified his mind against the accords and that they wouldn't be implemented justly or correctly.

Great point. His worries were about implementation and right when he waivers, the truth of the reality of the accords gets thrown in his face.

Steve never objects to the implementation, though.  His criticisms are purely theoretical, that he doesn't like the concept of somebody having control over the Avengers.

Steve referring to politics and everyone having their own agenda was him objecting to the implementation. So they weren't only theoretical. He brought up what would happen if they were sent to a fight they didn't agree with or told not to help in one they wanted to. That is all the implementation side.

  17. Wow! So awesome. Went in team Cap come out team Cap. I was worried that this wouldn't be a Captain America movie but it was his movie. It was his fight and his heart that drove the story. I find his journey through the years to be most compelling. It's tough being the "straight man" but Chris Evans and the writers have made him not boring.

It's funny that I think this is the most I've liked Tony outside of his own movies. The motivations behind who signed and who didn't worked really well. Even though I was behind Cap, I understood fully why Tony would want this. I understood his need at the end too. I just didn't want him to win.

Every character was used smartly and appropriately. The newcomers shined so bright too. Black Panther and Spider-Man are great additions. The MCU has always had humor but the fun Spider-Man and Ant-Man brought to it worked so well.

I also liked that the story realized that it didn't need a great villain. This wasn't a story about a hero or a team defeating a great evil. It was a story about a family tearing itself apart. An overpowering villain would have detracted from that.

I am also ok with a non ending. We all know there are more movies to come so this didn't need to be tied in a bow. I'm just glad it ended on a ray of hope.

  18. Whew! That scene with the knife was so intense and spectacular. I really like this show. The Damien/Ann scenes continue to be the best parts. There relationship is so interesting. He hates her but she had been giving him the most honest answers. I love how he can never stop her from coming into his apartment.

Action Damien is great. Suicide didn't work so it is time to get to work. The threat to John by leaving the ax was a stroke of genius. It really shows his potential to be the Anti-Christ.

  19. I am really liking this show. However, as much as I liked the dream sequence and what it revealed about Damien, I am concerned the rest of the episodes will be rushed.

I knew his mother was either going down the stairs or over the railing the minute they went up. I laughed when it happened.

Damien's menace (even if it is a dream) with Ann is wonderful. I like these two together. I need more powerful Damien.

The look on Damien's face when the tattoo artist ended up dead was hilarious.

I also watched it from the beginning when it turned out to be a dream.

  20. I can remember the sense of wonder, giddiness, and joy I felt when I first watched the

Pilot. I had found a new show that I loved and I could not stop talking to others about. These characters that were so different but worked together in such an awesome way. For that to turn into this feeling of disgust and hatred makes me so sad.
