  1. I am really liking this show.  In the summer, I did not think I would watch it because I thought it would be too hard watching what is basically a set-up to the Batman tale. I am so glad I caved.  I am liking all the characters, the feel, and the cases.  I am happy they did not gloss over the fact that the cops turned their back on Jim.  I liked the different ways they showed how that impacted everyday interactions.

  2. About Witnesses having romantic complications: I don't like watching the Cranes but in Ichabod's defense his complication was built in.  It is easier not to start something than get rid of a wife. At least for now she is out of the Witnesses' hair.

  3. Once again, Abbie is awesome and comes through in the end. I like that she is not really hiding her disgust with the save Henry plan. I love that she called Katrina out about her attitude.

If the show is not going to get rid of Katrina at least they removed her from the Witnesses. I do not think I could take much more of the mushy Cranes. In addition, even though I understand that conflict can keep things interesting, seeing the rift Katrina puts between Abbie and Crane pisses me off. It will only payoff for me if Katrina finally goes to the dark side.

I do not have an issue with Hawley. This episode was perfect for his character. However, it makes me think how some of the other times he has been on that his role could have been replaced with Jenny.

  4. The Amy/Sheldon "I love you" scene was remarkably emotional for a sitcom... I found myself really hoping that Amy's incredible patience will someday be rewarded with the kind of relationship she wants, after being amazed that Sheldon could overcome his fears enough to say those magic words. Wonderfully done, Mayim and Jim.

I find the Stuart/Debbie thing funny in the context of the show. Stepping outside the sitcom world for a moment, it's not beyond what could happen when two lonely, needy people discover that they can in some way meet each other's needs, the generation gap notwithstanding.

And yes, the Penny/Leonard scene on the roof was really sweet. Especially since she didn't wear heels.

I agree.  This is TV world.  We are allowed to think things are funny or give passes to certain actions or behaviors that in the real world are either really sad, immoral, illegal, etc.

  5. I liked this episode.  I am not a Penny/Leonard fan (too much has happened with them that I just can't see that they actually like each other) but I thought their scenes tonight were great. I got a glimpse of a real relationship tonight.

    The Limo ride was awesome.

I liked the Sheldon and Amy stuff too.  I think it gets glossed over too much how everyone is putting pressure on Sheldon to do something (sex) he is not ready for and Amy tends to be a part of that. This time (in an open way) she acknowledged her desires and put Sheldon's fears to rest.  I know Sheldon can be a pain and a jerk about getting his way about things but sex should never be forced. Amy has decided to have a relationship with a difficult person and deal with his "crazy" and her patience got the "I love you".

  6. I think the point of the CPR scene was to show that he did learn it after he was helpless to save Abbie. That being said couldn't he have learned it next week. I also did not see Abbie rushing to help. As I said, she is awesome.

  7. It moved fast for me and except for a few scenes (mushy Cranes) I liked it.

Abbie was awesome as usual and did much of the lifting saving Katrina. 666! I loved her impatience wanting to leave while Crane said his goodbyes before they left to get an army. Her calling Crane out on the inequality of voting in his time and that she pays his bills. There are times I just want her to say "whatever" and walk off. On the other hand, I love her pragmatism and ability to keep moving forward and keep focused to the task, even if she thinks others are being stupid.

Katrina was great escaping but I could do without the mushy Cranes and her continued faith in Henry is frustrating. Yes, he is your son but even the mother in "The Good Son" finally dropped her son off the cliff. (Wasn't his name Henry, too)?

Not much to say about Crane. His wrath about the pregnancy was great but he is proving Abbie's fears true about his weakness.

I am now with the people who are screaming for Jenny. I know she was there last week but it is not enough.

One last thing, I do not need to see anymore Cranes kissing. I actually caught myself saying "ick". Lol

  8. As a poster said up thread, I think they made it pretty clear that though Watson may be good Holmes is still one of a kind and the best.  Also it is in character that the Capt. would "choose" Watson over Holmes.  The Capt. has told Holmes before that they we solving cases before Holmes arrived.  So, of course, he would want his help but not above all other things, like loyalty to and respect for Watson.

  9. I love this show but it gives me a headache. I am really upset with someone because they won't lose faith in their son and wife. I am bothered because Abbie is so awesome so when anyone does something that is not pro her, I think it is bad. Crane asking for more time with Henry does not necessarily contradict his statements about it's he and Abbie until the end.  But a part of me still feels bad for Abbie that he keeps on putting Henry on the back burner.

  10. Dean is about to leave after accepting and then Crowley says "Oh, there's something else that I need to share with you". Then the scene cuts. So this is not about the deal they just made.

  11.

Nitpick:  the child sacrifice is a Lancaster family curse.  Beth should be a Lancaster through marriage, yet her sister was taken?  C'mon writers.  The way it stands, Sarah has greater problems than the Pied Piper.  Like her family tree only having one branch.

I think Sarah's name was Lancaster - Something.  So Beth was the Lancaster and the Father was the Something, so this would make Beth a Lancaster.
