  1. Loved it, loved it, loved it. So happy sad for Loki.
While I think it may take more MCU to explain the “science” of this show, the “fiction” was handled perfectly. Besides Loki’s growth, I think one of the big things was Loki remembering and embracing his godhood. On Reddit before this episode someone claimed that they missed the God of Mischief Loki and this could have been anyone doing these things. I think the show did this on purpose. Loki got so intrenched with the TVA and his friends that he lost his godhood (this is more than performing magic). There was some hints throughout - looking at the statues of his family and Möbius saying sometimes he forgets Loki is one of them, Loki reminding Sylvie they are gods (take that advice Loki), Loki being able to pause time by himself while HWR needs a device, and the motif of losing skin throughout. Walking on that bridge Loki lost his TVA skin and regrew his god skin. Glorious horns and all. Well done show.

Some small things I liked - his last words are the same as Thor one (not including credits scenes). When Möbius and Sylvie are talking at the end one shot is filled with a Lena’s flare that makes the background filled with green and gold. Thanks New Rockstars.

I know the reports and interviews, but I hope this is not the end of TH’s Loki.

  2. There could be more than one winner if they played a team game last. However, I doubt the game makers would set it up that way.

I loved the show, even the end. The acting was so good, except the VIPs. I also was invested in Junho’s mission and liked his general competence. I also liked that it was used to bring the audience behind the scenes. I hope he is alive somehow.

Episode 6 was devastating. I can’t hate Sangwoo. My heart is mad but my brain gets it.

I liked how the game makers introduced the “special game” before the tug of war. Before that the players did not directly impact if another died. The fight primed them to killing each other.

  3. As much as it was just ok, Jensen killed it and he had me crying.
Such a Dean thing to do to still be taking care of Sam even when he is dying. Telling Sam what he needed to hear to keep going.
As much as I am not happy about Dean’s death or about it just being a fluke thing, I think it was the way Dean would want to go, especially since it was before Sam. Damn, the timeline is fuzzy but how much freedom from Chuck did Dean even get to enjoy?
Fast forwarded past most of the Sam stuff at the end. Though I did see he went to Texas and the awful grey wig. It gave me a laugh.
I am not going to nitpick. I am going to let my annoyances go.
    THANK YOU SHOW!
THANK YOU FOR BRINGING DEAN WINCHESTER INTO MY LIFE!
As Jensen said, he will always be with me.

  4. I really liked this. I have been through a few versions. I really liked when the had Jacqueline basically cancel the Me Too/Times Up movement. This was an outcome that REALLY came out of left field.
I wanted more of Mikey but him being the moral center and calling me out on not making the right choices for Kimmy was spot on.

  5. Even though they played it for laughs with the spelling, I liked that they had Geoffrey correct her about calling him Geoff. I also have a name that is commonly shortened. Even though I go by both, I find it weird that many people when they first meet me take it upon themselves to shorten it even though I use the full version when I introduce myself. Just one of those quirks of society.

  6. KEVIN! Finally!
And a mention of the awesomeness of John Wick.
And Holt turning into John Wicks at the end.
And Kevin’s delight at Ray loving his joke.
And Jake handling their freak out like a pro.
    And the clothes swap.
    And all the rest.
    Thank you show.

  7. I really liked the fact that the episode played more like a “coda” then a finale. All the characters already had their wrap ups. Johnny, Stevie, and Roland with the business in The Pitch and Moria with her accepting the show on her turns, Alexis and restarting in NYC and rejecting the money, David and Patrick with the house and staying in Start Spreading the News.
This was just good times to be had by all. So sweet and ridiculous.
For someone who just found this show this year, it has been a short, intense, and forever love affair.

  8. I don’t know if I have ever cried so much at an ending of a show. At first I was a little mad because I wanted to laugh and be happy. But like Eleanor, I realized that was a self motive and I had to let the show be what it has always been - funny as heck with real emotion and philosophy.
I have enjoyed this ride and it never got old. Though I could probably watched forever, I am happy that it left on top.

  9. It is always the little things for me this this show. The episode had three great ones. Chidi's unintentional LiL Jon impression (Yeah! Okay!), Chidi's repeated Nos when he found out about the problem with the Good Place, and the groups (especially Michael's) reaction to Jason being bored with the racing.

  10. So many of the shows I have been invested in have ended or are coming to a close. I am just hoping that the ones still to come bring me the satisfaction this one did. (With the understanding that I don't think I could be satisfied with the end of Supernatural just because Dean Winchester will be leaving my TV screen 😪).

I will also second all the comments about Joan's clothing.

  11. This freaking show! I am writing this through the tears. I will miss my consulting detectives. And Captain Bell.

At one point I thought they were trying to make us believe there was some off scene shenanigans and Arthur was their child. And I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. Then the real reveal came and the hug and the staying and the feels. I lost it. So good. Thank you show for a great wrap up

For anyone in the US, there is preseason NFL football scheduled to delay the planned start of the finale!

I won't be home so I have scheduled a long manual recording on my Tivo.

I'm in the NYC area and saw a promotion that WPIX (11) will be carrying the regular CBS line-up.

  13. I am so happy. I was pulling hard for Sebastian the whole time. I loved his collection.

I knew Garo was out. I also have an appreciation for what Hester does and thought all of her stuff was well made and unique. I could not have been mad at her winning with this collection.

I thought the same thing about Karlie's dress looking like Sebastian's collection.

I have to say it again. I really really loved Sebastian's collection.

Christian was just on point this episode. He has been great the whole season but the back and forth with Sebastian about the thread was hilarious.

    On another note:

Was the runway space the same location as the shootout scene in Jon Wick 3? It look so familiar.

  14. Though I was rooting for Brooke Lyn, I think based off of lil syncs the right person won. Yvie was my second favorite.

    Congrats Yvie!

I really liked Yvie’s minimal take in the last lip sync. I also liked Brooke’s “obvious” reveal.

I felt Silky was doing too much in her lip sync and I knew Brooke won it when she did the handstand.

Was not crazy about the second lip sync.

  15. This show may have not been perfect and there where times I was annoyed throughput the seasons but at least its characters were the same characters that I have watched all these years. I appreciate that in a show that is ending. The characters are flawed, make mistakes and can be unreasonable. But they are consistent with their development. These last episodes highlighted all their quirks and flaws but also the reason they are friends.

The ending may have been predictable and obvious but the writing and spot on characterization made it interesting and engaging. See, you don’t have to do the unexpected just for unexpected sake.

Yikes. I think my bitterness in the mangling of another show that is ending is bleeding through. I am done.

Honestly? The only realistic outcome is for Daenaerys to actually remain Queen, and to continue her reign through terror. Or not terror per sei, but having conquered, realize that it’s ashes in her mouth and literally as well, and that she will have to always govern by fear. She may be a benevolent Queen afterwards, but she seized by conquest and devastation and that’s her legacy. Because seriously, she is unbeatable. She made a very powerful statement. Do not fuck with me. She’s fireproof. Drogon in this episode did what three dragons couldn’t do. And he’s still technically a teenage dragon. She has unsullied, Dothraki. Realistically, she is Aegon the Conqueror reborn . No one should fuck with her after this .

But, being David and Dan  who don’t care about these things, somehow Jon is gonna be able  to kill her and her armies are gonna disperse peacefully I guess, and Arya will be a dragon slayer? I mean, how are they gonna resolve this ? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I was so pondering this on my way to work today.  How is the overthrow a Dany going to realistically happen? Grey Worm should be telling Dany that Jon did not follow her lead in continuing to attack the city and she will find Jaime gone. So Jon and Tyrion should be roasted pretty quickly.  But with the way things have happened and the cut away from important scenes, I would not be surprised if it doesn't even come up.

So they're going for the Buffy/Angel tragedy - sacrificing his love to save the world. Except they've written the romance so poorly that it's not going to land. I don't feel sad about this, I just feel angry.

Remember a week ago when we all laughed ourselves silly at the idea that she went mad at the sound of bells? Turns out it's a totally fair read on the scene.

THIS. The council of fan favorite bros is straight out of bad fanfiction.

I guess the "sweet" part is that all the remaining Starks survive in some capacity. Pretty weak.

Jon's complete non reaction to learning Sansa had immediately betrayed his trust was so frustrating. And you're right, it does feel like the show artificially constrains characters from reacting reasonably to Sansa's manipulations.

This is what's driving me nuts about Tyrion's arc and why his ending ultimately does not sit right with me. He's been wrong about everything and proven to be a terrible strategist for the last three seasons. Where are the consequences for that?

He does react. We have to be detectives now since they are showing us a Cliff Notes version of the show. When Varys says he knows what side Jon’s coin has landed, the quick expressions that move across is face clearly state “That F’ing B betrayed me”.  But that is all he gets. But who is he going to complain too. He is not going to sell his family out to Dany. Hopefully, next episode we get something. Famous last words

This is why I want Sansa’s end to be her ruling the North but with no family with her. Her game playing would have driven them off.  She got what she wanted but look at the cost.

If Varys wanted to rally support for someone else, he should have fled Dany's camp and declared for Jon or whomever.

Trying to poison her was way beyond the pale.

Varys supported Dany until he heard that Jon (who was weaker and he thought he could control) could be on the throne instead.   He was looking out for himself, not "the realm".  The idiot writers made him "right", but he had no new information to make him think Dany was a Mad Queen, as opposed to the great ruler he claimed to believe she would be shortly before.

The writers made a lot of people "right" including Sansa and Arya but for the wrong reasons. At least in Varys' case he raised concerns (true or not) last season.

I agree about Varys.  Why did he stay? Especially after he spoke to Jon. That should have been his cue to leave.
