  1. They probably stayed at a Christian campground anyway. Zero chance they would stay somewhere where some neighboring campers would be drinking alcohol and wearing sluttish swimwear.
  2. I’d argue that CCC is more dangerous. The Rods have a very limited reach and while they are very problematic, they aren’t converting many, if any at all (I’d wager most of Jillpm’s conversations are very young children, if not straight up lies for Jesus) CCC is dressed up as a fun modern missions organization, however at its core it’s deeply connected to Focus on the Family, Family Research Council (the one that an infamous pedophile fundy worked for) and still far more effective at recruiting younger people. They are still against LGBTQ+ equality, anti-choice, and all the other things that make those organizations and the Rods problematic. We were posting at the same time! The campus the CCC missionaries at my church were at already heavily Christian areas. They want people to change to the “correct Jesus” They just have better clothes and marketing than the Rods, and are ok with non-KJV Bibles.
  3. If it was a fairly balanced group, then sure, split it up. We do that with friend groups, but one family may have one more kid, so it’s pretty balanced. But this is 1/4 of the group feeding everyone 2/3 of the time. It may even have been 3/4 of the meals. You couldn’t see thE last meal, but it definitely wasn’t Jillpm but it could have been Keller. Wouldn’t surprise me.
  4. That’s the only way I’d do it (after a nicked my oldest and was/is traumatized I did that 16+ years later) If they needed actual clipping my husband did it.
  5. Considering it was Jillpm that said Phillip had a job and Johnathan was his boss, I’m guessing “job” and “boss” is really the loosest definition of those terms.
  6. That’s a lot of words to say “we’re running out of money, so vacation over. But send my parents us some more!”
  7. Yet when you read her version of events (like when the KOA people kicked them out) her children were perfect and polite, as was she when she CALMLY explained they were the holiest of Christians. This KOA people (and SOCIETY!!) obviously hate kids and godly Christian families. If you need to repeatedly say how respectful and well mannered you were, you likely were not.
  8. I’m not sure which girl this is, but she absolutely hates this. Just going to sip on the juice box and get through it with as little effort as possible.
  9. Nothing says fun like juice boxes and Bible time in a cramped trailer. One of the girls is just hiding her face during the prayer. I know that pose from my teen years in the church, and she’s 1000% over it. The only thing she’s praying for is for this devotional to end. My family wasn’t fundie but every so often my parents would hear some peddler of family devotional materials speak, buy their “kits” and for about a week or two we’d have forced devotional time. The pitch was it was a way to guarantee we’d be believers as adults. Yeah…my sister and I are agnostic/atheist. My childhood was very happy but this devotional time is one thing I can point out that I hated. It didn’t make me a better person, love Jesus or anything. And the Rod kids get this lecture every day. I see the “I’m out of fucks to give” attitude in their body language. Fortunately for me my parents also expected us to be independent, get jobs, and a high quality education. Leaving the church was easy. But these poor girls, as over it as they seem, they will have a lot to overcome to get out.
  10. That is one hell of a story if “injustice” 🙄And I never knew that colored underwear was on her list of sluttish clothes. I guess she’s right, if I wear anything but white, I’ll fall immediately onto a penis.
  11. Do they just have the smiley face one? I can’t imagine the well for this is that deep, and at some point the churches will want some varied content. Chick tracts were hilariously horrific, but at least he kept turning out new content to keep getting repeat business. What a total waste of money and resources.
  12. I’d bet good money (if this even happened) Paige and Zoey are young children. I was not fundy but in an AOG church, and I remember altar calls being very pushy and full of fear. And little kids don’t want to go to hell while mommy and daddy go to heaven, so they “get saved” and say the magic words.
  13. My parents church has my husband on their list of “on going prayer requests”. My husband and I are not religious at all anymore. Jill would lose it praying for us heathens!
  14. Not having your eyes closed and praying along with the pastor was a HUGE no-no when I was in the AOG church. They basically made it seem like you weren’t really praying if you were looking around. I guess she wasn’t lying about not updating on their condition, but she’s sure going to mention they need prayers money non-stop.
  15. Someone must have told her to stop making the details of her parents private health information public. I don’t believe for a second she’ll stop asking for money, though.
  16. He’s going back to flight school. Timmy would be better if just keeping the business if he’s really pulling in $5k a month (but yeah what happens in the winter) I think MeMe Jill needs some cash. (But not until November?) This is weird.
  17. Exactly. My husband is dealing with some quite serious health issues at the moment, and if he needs another surgery, his mom will have to go with him and not me. I want to be there but I just started a new job and can’t be taking days off when there’s other people to step in. I need to work because bills still need to get paid. Also, fundies love to get on their high horses and talk about how fiscally responsible they are compared to heathens and their avocado toast, so shouldn’t they have a significant savings? Or is it like much of their high and mighty claims, a bunch of bs?
  18. He wouldn’t say it was a miracle, because it wasn’t a miracle. It was medical science. Jillpm, if you left it up to god, she wouldn’t have survived. Thank the fucking doctors and medical staff. And sorry her dad sucks too if he actually told the doctor Jesus saved her and not medicine. (I think that’s as likely as the doctor actually saying he thought she was 50)
  19. This exactly. While sad, their situation is not unique, it is the reality as people age. That is why even if you have limited resources you plan for things like long term care. Isn’t there some Dave Ramsey bullshit that talks about elder care planning? Or is he not the right flavor of Christian for them?
  20. I’m sure Target is out since they have Pride section and their registry is gender neutral. I’m guessing like a Christian bookstore? IDK but yeah it’s a random place for sure
  21. I don’t think it’s nearly pretentious or hipster enough for them. If they have a boy they are going full preppy hipster, or a Jr.
  22. My grandparents, no matter how dire things were, would never EVER accept money from their grandchildren. Especially not one with soon to be two very young children. Wow.
  23. JFC, your mother’s confusion is not an act, Jill. I don’t even have words for the lolz style emoji, other than Jillpm just cannot help but constantly out worsting herself in every situation.
