I always liked the Jay segments back when the show first started. Especially the Power Squad announcement. I agree, could do without the bikini bootcamp stuff. But I've always liked Jay and how he is 100% committed to helping the girls maintain or improve their fitness. I would think the ones who are on weight warning would utilize him as a resource more often than they do. Not sure how that works behind the scenes, though.
One thing I wish they'd do is announce ALL of the girls who make it in to training camp on the show, not just a select few. It wouldn't take too long to show them being announced. In some seasons, there are TCCs who make the team and you have no idea who they are.

So, the first two episodes of the new MTT season are now showing up as pending recording on the DVR. The second episode is entitled "Comeback Girls" and the description reads: "Second-year cheerleader Amy Trader returns to camp to serve as a veteran guiding a new class of rookies though the tryout process as DCC director Kelli McGonagill Finglass and chereographer Judy Trammel mentor recruits."
Interesting! Is this something new they're trying with Amy T.? Or has there always been a vet who serves as a guide during tryouts?

OK, I'll say that I don't have the Thunderstruck routine memorized like some do on this forum. However, I didn't see anyone make any glaring mistakes. The team looks good :)

I personally don't care that Amy's hips are larger than the others. Good for her for making the team. She's a beautiful person, smart, intelligent and she can dance. She is fit, not fat. I think it's great that they don't have a team of stick figures :)

I wasn't referring to the judge's reaction video. I saw an ad on CMT this morning and the promo for MTT season 11 had a clip of Madeleine crying and then they showed both Vivian and Shannon. Vivian and Shannon were on season 9 and have nothing to do with season 11. It makes no sense.

What I don't understand is why the new ads for Season 11 show Vivian and Shannon (from Pittsburgh). They were on 2 seasons ago. Why not use current TCCs?

I feel like I jumped in my time machine and went back to the good old days! Kelli is only a few years older than me, so that 80s hair is definitely something I cringe at now when I look at pics from back then. But, man, oh, man...did we think we were the s*** back then with our pouffy hair and mall bangs...LOL :p

Mt. Pleasant is about 40 minutes away. I was actually going to go to CMU if I didn't get accepted in to MSU for my grad school program. :)

Considering we have no way of knowing if any of these rumors are true or not concerning Kelsey, Kyndall, etc., I'm reserving judgement until we know actual facts. I'm a big Kelsey fan, so I'm happy she made the team. I'm sad for Kyndall because she seemed so sweet on her season of MTT. But we have no actual idea why she was really cut.

He always had a piece of my heart because he loved LOTR, and was just a fussy, lovable old man in general. And we used to cheer for the Lakers for sure - between that and snowmobiling that's how you rock it up there ? My grandfather was a retired Coastie captain and that's how we ended up there my high school years. I hated being in school there but I've come to really love visiting. Have always loved Marquette though - walking the shore was the absolute best. I've heard Copper Harbor is no joke for winter (not that anything in the UP really is!), but if you're looking for a beautiful place on the Superior coast anything between Munising and Marquette is gorgeous, and the Brimley area has some gorgeous beaches. My heart always belongs in Traverse though, it's where I'm originally from and I absolutely love it. Kind of makes my day to hear from another Michigan girl, I'm in Chicago now and mostly people think everything is by Detroit ?
Too funny, I'm from Chicago and now live in MI (in the middle of the mitten). Small world! :)

I've been pulling for Kelsey this whole time. I sure hope she can work out whatever kinks there are so she can be in the first game. Any thoughts that having her sit out for pre-game and then make it in for opening day might be for show drama?

Can you image being the gymnast who has to vault next? I'd be so nervous.
I was at work (I work in a hospital) when that happened and was in a room with a patient. He turned to me and said "you can give him my pain medication". I felt SO bad for that gymnast!!!!

Well, we know Miranda Parker tried out for years & years, making it to finals each time but never getting selected for TC. There's also a doctor who auditions each year just for fun.
