  1. I agree. I never thought she looked like a DCC last year and I still don't feel she looks like a DCC. Her eyes are too close together and it just seems "off". I feel terrible for saying that. I'm sure she's a nice girl. I just don't think she's DCC material. Good thing I'm not a judge. Sorry, Brennan :(
  2. I thought Kelli already posted SG????
  3. My yearly spoiler-fest has been ruined this year. My favorite part of waiting for the show to start was to read all the spoilers. I knew who to look for during the audition episodes. I'd compare the ones who were cut to the ones who were kept, etc. It didn't ruin the show for me at all. In fact, the spoilers made me want to watch. But, alas, no spoilers (or very few) this season. I'm so bummed! :( I feel like I have no one to root for this year!
  4. So happy Robin & Kashara are group leaders....YAY! 2 of my favorites :)
  5. I agree. I'd rather have them bring back the Power Squad with Jay work outs than have the Melissa segments. I'm sure Melissa is a nice person, but I get bored during her segments with the girls. They feel forced & scripted in a bad reality TV kind of way. Does that make sense? On to the topic of TC: I am truly missing all the spoilers this year. That's what kept me going until the show started. I loved to find out if the spoilers lived up to what really happened. Hardly any spoilers this year makes our conversations de-volve into who should be group leader, which I could care less about speculating. (JMHO) Bring on the spoilers!!!
  6. Well, week 1 of TC will be over tomorrow. I wonder who has already had a "talk" this week? I feel like I know practically nothing about the rookies this season!
  7. Does TC start tomorrow (June 5th)?
  8. Finally got caught up! I had to work all weekend, so I wasn't able to follow "live" during the TCC announcements. I'm so freaking happy our girl Kelsey made it back. YAY :) I live in MI and the local news mentioned Cristi was trying out for DCC. Sorry to hear she didn't make it. There are a few TCCs whom I'm interested to see when MTT airs (Gina, Alexandra, etc.) I don't know too many names because I haven't had time to keep up this season. Grad school is eating up all my free time. While it sucks to hear vets were cut, I can see why the Allie & Heather were cut. I always thought Heather had a "little girl" look to her. The uniform wasn't too flattering on Allie's frame. Don't get me wrong, I wish I was that thin. But in DCC standards, it just made her look square. Sad, because she seemed really sweet. Raylee is one that I was very surprised about. She must have had a lackluster audition this time around. Hopefully, they'll post an official photo with names soon, so we know exactly who is/isn't in TC this year. @QuiteCalM, girl, I miss reading your witty posts! Glad to see you back :)
  9. Awww, I'm bummed there's no Fan Vote this season. It was the only way I could see the finalists dance. I used the FV videos as a way to choose my favorites to keep an eye on when/if they made it to TC.
  10. Can't wait for updates & pics. Ya'll, I'm a night shift nurse and I woke up early just to see the updates. (Yes, I need a life...LOL) Excited to see who made it to semis :)
  11. I agree. I also think that maybe some of the people auditioning know that they will have every picture on their Instagram, FB, Twitter, Snapchat, etc. analyzed and scrutinized to the umpth degree if they hashtag they're auditioning. I know I wouldn't want anyone but my closest friends & family to know if I was in their shoes.
  12. Hey, everyone! It's been a while since I've been able to post (grad school, incredibly busy!) We're getting close to my favorite time of the year....auditions! I am very interested to see how many returning vets make the squad this season. I'm glad to see "popcorn Kelly" is returning. She seemed like a sweet girl, but just needed some technique and life experience. She was 18 during that particular TC, correct? Rooting for my fav, Kelsey, to come back as a 2nd year vet. I wish they would do a live stream of the audtions so we at least get to see SOMETHING until MTT starts back up. This is the first year our cable provider dropped CMT from our package. It's only available on premium now, so we no longer have CMT. For the first time in years, I will have to watch MTT as paid episodes online. My husband still doesn't understand why I'm upset about it...LOL
  13. Hawaa and her crooked, uneven sewing made it in? Are you kidding me? She hasn't sewn anything all season that isn't lumpy and lopsided. I truly feel if it wasn't for her "look" that she would not have gone this far in the competition. I've only like ONE piece she's designed this entire season, and even then, it was poorly constructed. Tieler has been my pick to win it since the beginning, but the last 2 weeks have really made him back-pedal. I'm thankful he made it through because if they had kept Hawaa over Tieler, that would have been a travesty. I still don't get the praise over Chelsea's last look. It looks like a bunch of DIY leather cut outs thrown haphazardly together. I thought for sure that Chris' jumpsuit would have won. He was very creative with the placement of that print. Too bad his pants hems were uneven. That might have been the attention to detail he needed. As far as the finale goes, I think they have a strong group. I still would have liked to see Molly in the finale, but I understand why they cut her. I'd much rather see Molly vs. Tieler than Hawaa vs. Tieler for the 4th spot in the finale. I feel like the judges have already picked Chelsea to win it.
  14. I was highly disappointed that Jim was sent packing instead of Emily. You'd think, given their track records, that Jim would have been saved and Emily booted in the QFC. And then, she skates by, yet again, with the whole immunity fiasco because they stuck Jamie with crappy ingredients. Not sure if I can mention Last Chance Kitchen on here as it relates to this episode, so I'll put it in a spoiler.
  15. I have to work three 12 hour shifts in a row (Thursday, Friday & Saturday). One day off (Sunday) and then work another three 12 hour shifts in a row (Mon, Tue & Wed). One day off and then was mandated an extra shift on Thursday. I'm going to be a flipping ZOMBIE!!!! Did I mention I work night shift? Life in the ICU...
  16. Having lived in Chicago for 20 years, I can tell you that most people from the Chicago-land area simply say they're "from Chicago". If you name any other city, people will ask where it is, well, it's near Chicago. You can get downtown in less than an hour on any of the trains that feed in from the 'burbs. Most people in the burbs work downtown Chicago. So, if you lived or worked there, you can say you're a Chicagoan. The show "Roseanne" took place in a fictional town called "Lanford", which was supposed to be Lansing, Illinois. Lansing is on the border of IL & IN and is a lower middle class area. Dundee is no where near Lansing, it's about an hour and a half northwest and is a much nicer area than Lansing. Trust me, I've been there. I don't think Paige is a calculating social climber. I think she had gone through a tough divorce, being married so young and her husband deployed right away. I personally feel she met her now husband before he was ever a part of the Cowboys organization, which is why she wasn't immediately dismissed from the team when their relationship came to light. She obviously had to retire because either he or she would have to step down in order to continue the relationship. Obviously, NFL player makes a much better salary than a DCC. If she had been sneaking around, dating this guy and blatantly breaking the rules, I think she'd have been booted out of there faster than you can say "tonight's your last night".
  17. Count me in on the fan audience for auditions. We could be the "unofficial guest judges" on the side :) As in, our votes don't count, but we're definitely going to give some feedback & opinion
  18. There is no peer-reviewed, non-biased scientific evidence that apple cider vinegar has any benefit for weight loss. The weight loss most people experience when they take apple cider vinegar is because they are also changing their diet and exercising more. Simply taking apple cider vinegar and making no other change will not result in any weight loss. Sorry to burst bubbles, but dems da facts.
  19. @QuiteContraryMoni, you know I would never think you were lumping me in with the "bad guys" :) As a medical professional, it is both ethically wrong, not to mention illegal, for us to accept kick-backs. In any field, there are those who don't play by the rules and it makes it frustrating for those of us who do.
  20. I would assume they would have all the girls there and just rotate them throughout the game so everyone gets a chance at being on the field during the Super Bowl. The restriction is simply on the field, due to the extra crowded sidelines for the SB. That gives the girls time to go to the locker room, rest, primp their hair/make-up and then rotate back on the field.
  21. Hahaha, yes! No ambition, you goofball :) Crocheting is easier to start with, but knitting produces more wearable garments. I only crochet for blankets. Sweaters, I only do knitting. My granny is an avid quilter and I wish I could make some of the gorgeous creations she's come up with over the years. I have no eye for it, nor the sewing skills. I can seam a sweater, but that doesn't involve a sewing machine.
  22. That's why he has his own. You do what you want to do with yours. That sounds like a fun, kitzchy room :) Can we count knitting for stich-n-bitch? I'm not a quilter (can't sew a straight seam for the life of me), but I can knit just about anything. I just finished my degree and I have a little over 8 months off from school before I start my dual masters/doctorate program. I would *love* to knit some Aran sweaters during my down time. Not to mention, read a book for FUN again :)
  23. Hey, we picked the same 3, for the same reasons, too :)
  24. This is my favorite "sinfully delicious" cookie recipe. So incredibly easy to make. About a million calories per cookie...YUM! http://www.eaglebrand.com/recipe-detail/sevenlayermagiccookiebars-3966
  25. 30s are great! You're more mature mentally, but yet still young physically. Once you hit 45, it all goes downhill physically. I can workout every day and can't get rid of the "softness", UGH! That clock is closer to 50 for me...sigh.
