When I had my 3rd C section, one of the nurses said she had six.

I’ve had four. I think my doctor was pretty happy when I asked for the tubal before my fourth. The uterus can thin out at the c section scar.
He’s a cute baby and I’m glad Jill got real, live 21st century medical care. I bet she will feel a lot better over the next few weeks as well.

Steve's rants that Jesus does not believe in fun and therefore playing games is of the devil.

Those kids in the video certainly looked like they were playing games and having fun. I wonder what her parents think. I’m glad the girls are finally beginning to live somewhat normal lives. (Yes, I know their beliefs are terrible, but at least they can wear normal clothes and do normal things.)

The BBC and British press seem to have a fascination with Kyrgios because "he's controversial, but you can't deny he's entertaining." For that fact alone, I'd like Norrie to get to the final just to see everyone instantly switch to reviling Kyrgios as a despicable, unsporting villain.

I want Norrie to make the final so I don’t have to hope for an alien invasion in the middle of the 2nd set. Cause I can’t cheer for either NoVax or Kyrgios.

  4. I guess I just appreciated that these character had some vulnerabilities (?) in the book that didn’t translate to the screen.

I also think that the writers have written themselves into a corner. They can’t really do the time jump that the books did, so I’m curious how they’ll tell Colin & Penelope’s story.

  5. I was able to snag The Viscount who Loved Me from the library just before our vacation and read it on the beach. And I have thoughts. Lots of them. 😀

First of all, I am so upset with what the TV writers did to the characters. I would have rooted for book Kate and Anthony. They were characters I got invested in because they had STORIES. Anthony’s belief in his mortality. And Kate’s paralyzing fear of storms (and her insecurity about how she compared to Edwina).  Because of those stories, their actions made more sense.

Second, the plot made more sense. I wish they hadn’t changed the library scene. Those actors would have acted the hell out of that scene. (Can you imagine how hot JB would have been sitting underneath that table with Kate?)  We could have gotten so much more of their relationship if they had dropped the whole Featherington plot

I won’t even get into the character assassination that happened with Penelope and Eloise. 🙄

Since Anna does not have an income, who is putting money on the FF’s account?

If JB decides to turn off the money spigot for the FF, how will Anna cope?

He won’t. Cause if Anna gets desperate, she may decide to write the tell all book. Poverty has a way of clearing up your vision. She knows where LOTS of bodies are buried.

First, I'm not defending the disability standards.  They may or may not be appropriate.  Many of them were developed decades ago.

The Social Security workers must take every claim that someone wants to file.  No screening is done and workers are not allowed to try to discourage applications.  Most people don't understand what Social Security or SSI disability requires.  A person must be deemed to be unable to perform any substantial, gainful activity for a period expected to last at least one year or result in death.  That does not mean unable to perform the current or most recent job.  If someone could be retrained to do something else or is deemed able to perform another job, they will be denied.  It's also done without any regard as to whether jobs the person is deemed able to perform are available in the local area or within the interest of the person applying.  As we used to say in the office among ourselves, being a Walmart greeter is considered substantial, gainful activity.

In other words, don't depend on SSA or SSI to replace income, if you become unable to perform your current job.

Yeah, I’ve filled out paperwork for kids with speech IEPs cause their mom read somewhere that if a kid is in special Ed, they automatically get SSI. Frustrating for me, since I’m stuck filling out a 20 page form for a kid who goes to 30 minutes of speech twice a week cause they still can’t pronounce their R’s.

(Don’t get me wrong. I’m a huge fan of the therapies that are available to kids in school. They’re a life saver for many kids. But, SSI isn’t for everyone who has to struggle a little at life.)

But Jill blogged that Janessa is cured! If they're collecting SSI for her, the authorities need to be contacted. As for David, that's nothing a lap band can't cure. SSI doesn't pay out for his level of obesity. Maybe they do if you're 600 lbs, but David is nowhere near that.

To get SSI, she’d have to take Janessa to a real pediatrician doctor. And, almost everyone gets denied at first. No way is Jill putting in the work (and paperwork) for that.

There was a time when retail establishments were closed on major holidays.  Then Walmart came along, and decided they would be open 24/7 365 days a year barring those 18ish hours between 6pm Christmas Eve and 6am December 26th.  Walmart is one of the few retailers who can handle being closed for more federal holidays.  Both Chick-fil-a and Hobby Lobby are closed every Sunday without huge amounts of backlash.  There would be complaints, but Walmart could weather it.  They would also get a lot of praise for pretending to care about their employees.  It would wash out.

My husband works at Walmart. For the longest time, his only paid holiday off was Christmas (but he had to work Christmas night, so no vacation). Now, he gets Thanksgiving too, but, again, he has to work Thanksgiving night. We don’t live near family, so it can make the holidays tough.

She'll learn. She'll leave an empty pan, a wooden spoon or a potholder on the stove and Ivy or Fern will turn in on. Hopefully Jessa will catch it before the smoke detectors do.

It’s not just lighting something on fire. If you turn those knobs right, all you get is gas coming out into your kitchen. Better check those before you head to your day at the TTH.

  11. Lady Danbury and Lady Bridgerton should get their own spin-off. Like “Murder, She Wrote,” but in a Regency setting. 😀

Edwina is starting to irritate me. Stop acting like such a brat.

  12. I wonder if everything that’s gone down with Josh over the last couple of years made Derrick look at public service rather than a place like FRC. I’m sure that Jill still had a lot to unpack emotionally, and maybe he saw how his “mission” could be bringing justice to kids/people hurt by lowlifes like Josh. I’m hoping that.

Or, maybe they were the only people who would hire him. 🤷‍♀️

  13. He spent the last weeks inside curled up like a pretzel. I know that it took a few weeks (maybe even a month) for my babies to keep their legs stretched out. When they’re newborns, they naturally pull their legs up. That’s also why they love to be swaddled. (I didn’t learn the swaddling trick until my 4th. The sleep I missed out on with the other three! 🫠)
