I am a bit baffled as to why everyone here thinks that the Germans are doomed. Gus kills when he has to but is businesslike about it. Killing off a gang of workers would be bad business...either they were trustworthy enough to hire in the first place (after a ton of vetting by Gus and/or Mike) or a crew that could be trusted would've been found. If there is a network of people prepared to do such work--and Mike didn't find Werner in a phone book--then there also has to be MUTUAL trust that the workers will STFU about the job in exchange for not being sent to Belieze once the job was done. Gus can't afford to get a name for being an unreliable employer.

I didn't find Jimmy's response to Howard all that shocking given the history between the two men. And Howard was clearly angling for absolution. Jimmy doesn't owe him that.

The JC Penney versions are to Kentaro's originals as Twizzlers are to red licorice.

I have developed a theory about the apparent coronation of Brandon: the show is running out of potential contestants and the producers want to encourage menswear designers to try out.

Second week in a row that the divine Liris was made to look upholstered rather than dressed. She still worked to sell it but that top was hideous. Brandon's commitment to the flamingo fabric is admirable from an artistic standpoint but it really limits his collection. Outdoor fabric is just NOT going to drape no matter what you do to it, which is why the look with the buttery leather top worked so much better than the all-flamingo look.

Liris looked like a tribble. -
Yikes! As one of the culprits, mea culpa!

If anyone was dinged for copying someone else's look, it should've been Brandon for covering his model's head. That's Anaya's signature.

So sorry that this is in your life. It must feel very lonely and I am glad that you have found support. NAMI is a terrific organization, and I would not hesitate to suggest it if my friends were actually looking for help. They are not. Their attitude is that the daughter-in-law 'left' the family and that's it. Their son, however, is still in touch with his sick wife and is trying deparately to get help for her so I concentrate on supporting him. This is way off topic so: Brandon. Straps. Swatch. Corset. Millennial pink. Tim Gunn Save. Cup o Noodles.

I am now rooting for Anaya. At the beginning I thought that her self-imposed modesty standard would sink her but she has surprised me. She also seems kind. And, based on the lame-ass 'boxing boot camp' that was shoehorned into last night's ep, she kicks ass.

This cannot be said loudly enough or often enough. I am currently re-evaluating a decades-long friendship because of the way my friends are treating their daughter-in-law. She had a psychotic break (most likely postpartum psychosis) and is currently living on the streets. They are doing nothing for her because of what she has 'done' to their family by...being mentally ill, I guess? If the daughter-in-law had only been smart enough to get cancer instead, they would be falling over themselves to help and support her. I don't have to wonder about this: anyone who has ever even had a biopsy within their circle of friends gets regular calls and visits and dinners. The mother of their grandchild? She has been discarded. Yes, I speak up about this to them. Barf.

Brandon's voice-over: I wear drop-crotch pants all the time. I don't see a problem. Visual: Brandon looking like Exhibit A in Zac Posen v Poopy Pants. Well done, editors.

Such a stumble for Kentaro. Liris summed it up in her mirror TH: Pocahontas about to play football. With different styling it could have been okay. With that styling, SO appropriative. Cuddly Kentaro dodged a bullet because Michael's was so much worse. We seem to be headed for Brandon/Kentaro/Anaya in the finals, no? The winning look was very cool in the transformation of materials, especially in that meager time frame, however the hard hat bugged me. How much cooler if she had made the hard hat into a purse.

People get married for all sorts of reasons. It isn't always a love match. That said, couples can have an understanding: Fool around if you must but don't embarrass me. Ol' Harv couldn't possibly be more of an embarrassment right now. Back to this ep: I didn't love Kentaro's design this week but I love him. I want him in the finals just because he is a damn delight. If Brandon doesn't make it to the finals (and I think he is on the bubble), I would love seeing him come back to assist his brother during the inevitable Fashion Week surprise challenge.
