Wow! How is it that people have these experiences... but not me?
Well, I live in NYC, so I guess that helps. In the early 90s I was on my college radio station, so we got a lot of tickets and backstage passes, so I met some early "alternative" bands. In the late 90s I worked in a photo shop in midtown Manhattan, and I met a few medium-level celebrities who lived nearby.
Other than that, I'm just as dull as everybody else.

With help from Siobhan, a major announcement helps restore Anna's public image. Behind closed doors however, something powerful seems to be taking over.
Airs Wednesday, October 11th.

Original by Leftfield, with guest Toni Halliday providing the vocals.
I met her in an elevator after a Curve show! I would write more, but that is pretty much the extent of the story. She was absolutely stunning.

For those who haven't read the books, LIW is always talking about food. Those make me hungry!

I thought Norman did some of his best acting during the scene in which he yelled at Laurent.
I agree. I'm the first to call out his mediocre acting chops, but he brought it in that scene.

Well, it was a little talky in the beginning, but the ending and the background stuff was solid! I guess Daryl's going to die, right? No way he could survive a walker on steroids. They'll have to change the name of the show.
Carol's "appearance" was a bit of a letdown. I guess that's it for her for the season. Who's back? Rick? Negan? I can't think of any other baddies who are still alive.
The punishment for fighting is death by walker? That seems a bit extreme. They still need to explain how that lifeboat got across the Atlantic with a live person on it.

Now we have "Laura's Baby Dies" followed by a Carter episode, followed by "For the Love of Blanche."
Someone telling me it's time to stop watching TV?

It is completely over the top, but I'll watch it. I'll take it over any Nancy, Carters or Shannen Doherty episode. The first part is ok as a TV revenge Western episode. The second half has been discussed here over and over, but I'm still up to make fun of it at any time.
If you want to talk over the top, I'm watching Albert kick morFEEN right now.

This show definitely has more penis than any other show I watch.

I would call that laughably bad but I wasn't laughing at any point. So boring, and the same creepy imagery that we've seen in countless horror films. And now Satanism.
I swear, Kim Kardashian is the best part of this, and that's not a complement to KK.

I happened to watch Rosemary's Baby on TV a couple days ago and it's jarring how much better it is than this drek. Similar story, just done so much better.

Mixed bag for me. Terrible dialogue, especially the exposition stuff. So many clichés. Super power observant character and Zoom meeting hacker are both ridiculous. The two tall, dark and handsome guys look the same to me at this point.
Still, I enjoy a procedural, and the story was compelling. Actually reminds me of Manifest for some reason (I only watched the first season.) I'm a big MPG fan (still mad that The Passage was cancelled.) Pilots are often the worst episodes, so I'll give it another shot to work out the kinks.

As Anna and Dex settle into their Hamptons sanctuary, the comfort begins to fade. Her circle of trust is slowly shrinking, and doubt creeps into Anna's head.
Airs Wednesday, October 4th.

All I want from this stop in Paris is to see one walker wearing a beret.
And one of those striped shirts that TV tells me all French people wear.

Thanks. Speaking just for myself, other than wet socks, I did fine. It's back to normal for almost everyone.
Two other TWD/general horror tropes:
- OMG! The kid is getting killed! No, just a dream.
- Let me look through this opening. AAHHH!!! Zombie!!!

For me it was the least liked episode so far, everything just seemed so blatantly obvious as to what was going to happen, a reminder of the worst times of TWD.
I agree, this is the first time I looked to see how much time there was left in the episode. The only surprise was that the young nun's boyfriend wasn't killed, he was just injured.
Not terrible, just sort of moved the plot to the next locale. Plenty of plot armor for our heroes.

Didn't expect Clancy Brown to only last one episode.
Right? I expected Marie to get into his class and there would be a season of Super Scooby-Doo hijinks. After the suicide warning in the beginning, I thought it was going to be the tiny roommate. I got both of those wrong.
I really enjoyed the first episode. Reminded me of the first season of the Boys.

Well, I would've lost that bet!
I'm not a fan of dog acts, but apparently a lot of other people are!
The results were the only surprising part of this otherwise very tedious season. I think I need a break. Sorry Mel B, I'm not watching America's Got The Voice!

Alright, so I crammed it in before the results, which I still won't watch until tomorrow and I can fast forward.
- Adrian Stoica and Hurricane - I'm not a big fan of dog acts, but this was their best performance. Very clever and creative.
- Mzansi Youth Choir - nice kids, but not a great performance.
- Avantgardey - love these quirky girls. They won't win, but I hope this develops into a career for them.
- Lavender Darcangelo - I'm going to Hell, but a slightly above-average singer at best.
- Chibi Unity - this did nothing for me. We've seen dance groups before, and they are one of them.
- 82nd Airborne Chorus - I thought they improved greatly last week, but completely fell flat this week. That one woman can barely sing.
- Anna DeGuzman - cool trick. If she ups her showmanship, she'll be a big star.
- Ahren Belisle - I like his act and persona, but it went on way too long. It was awkward after a while.
- Putri Ariani - I watched it again, and I think she's very good. Has a shot at winning.
- Ramadhani Brothers - they are certainly very good at what they do!
- Murmuration - pretty good. It seems like it was their's to lose, and they didn't mess it up.
Has a chance - Murmuration, Putri, maybe Chibi despite my protests. Everyone else is a longshot.

S01.E05: Deux Amours
in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
You and I and probably a lot of other people on this thread are hoping for this. I'd really like it all tied together somehow. I thought World Beyond would do some of that, but other than that scene, it was kind of a dud. Sometimes I feel they're stringing us along.
