Nigel Lythgoe is leaving SYTYCD. He says he is doing it voluntarily with a heavy heart. I am thinking it was less volunteer and more voluntold.
He's an executive producer, so he'll still be raking in the cash. It's more like a
businesspublicity move for him.- 1

More of the same. I watched it with one eye. The only act I liked was Hans, who I find ridiculously terrible, but entertaining.
The sand act was good, but it wasn't filmed well. Her head was in the way for a lot of it.
Something about the shadow person drumming on Howie's head made me giggle.

I just saw a blurb that Season 2 is premiering on the Roku Channel January 19th.

I'm watching an episode of "The Twilight Zone" and who's on playing an astronaut? None other than Kevin "Doc Baker" Hagen.

Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Terry Crews welcome back Judge Mel B for an all-new twist on "AGT"! The judges face off for the first time ever as they draft dream teams of returning fan-favorite contestants - but in the end, only one judge and one act will come out on top.
Premieres Monday, January 1.

I don't agree on the scenery chewing thing, although both actors, especially Lennie James, are capable of much better.
Full agree on that ridiculous story arc.
-
It looks like AGT meets The Voice. I wonder if there will actually be audience voting or that "superfan" nonsense we usually get during the off-season.
-
Third episode was much better. Less exposition and more story. There were scenes where I wished they turned on a lamp.

For Season 27, Worst Cooks in America sees a group of recruits who are exactly what the title implies: they are spoiled rotten. From mama’s boys to people who only know to use an app on their phone, these are folks who have never set foot in a kitchen because they just haven’t wanted to.
In other words, these people don't even try to hide the fact that they're jerks.

I hope she isn’t a permanent addition. I want Graham back!
I'm afraid she'll be on the next season. I don't dislike her, but I agree that the scripted jabs at Dad were annoying. It only needs to be done once or twice a season; it was was too often in this 4-hour special.

I was surprised we didn't see it some time during the strike. If someone can explain to me why shows and movies are fully produced (and presumably paid for) and then not released, I'm listening.

The Show, the Books and (ugh) the Movies: Compare and Contrast
in Percy Jackson and the Olympians
For me, the first one is at least watchable. The second one wasn't.
