  1. For me this last episode largely ruined what has been a pretty good season until then. Keith and Veronica acted like complete idiots the whole episode to make the plot work. The cherry on top was the bomb defusing scene which was dumb on so many levels. They arrived in time to get everyone to evacuate but then decided that Keith must risk his life to prevent a bit of property damage to the school. Then there's Logan's death, of course. So poorly written. Even if Keith and Veronica were dumb enough to forget about what the murderer left in the car, the police should have checked that car tight away for possible evidence. And Veronica realising what was going 20 seconds before the bomb went off was so corny. If Rob Thomas didn't feel LoVe should be a thing anymore, he should have just had them break up and go their separate ways. Or at least get Logan a proper death scene, not this poorly written mess. The idea of Veronica travelling the country alone and solving cases doesn't appeal to me. The Keith Veronica relationship has always been the core of the show and without it I really doubt it would work. And frankly, Rob Thomas isn't particularly good at writing interesting mysteries and the show has always been much better at character development and interactions than in the pure sleuthing stuff.
  2. And the odds of it being a success are extremely small. It's a very long shot to put it mildly. So many books are published every day nowadays that standing out of the crowd is very tough, especially if it's your first book and you don't have a publisher promoting you.
  3. It is really apparent that the Palladinos have no experience writing and directing 90 minutes episodes. The pacing of all episodes so far has been horrendous. Jokes are repeated ad nauseam all the time, scenes last way longer than they should, conversations which start well devolve into a rambling mess towards the end...During the original run even in the weaker episodes the rhythm and the pacing were much better. Lauren Graham is an amazing actress and her expressions during the musical were the best thing about the episode by far. The Michel scenes were nice too. The rest was pretty bad. I couldn't care less about Princess Rory's ridiculous money problems and all of her "woe is me" stuff. Lorelai deciding to "go Wild" was simply nonsensical. It ruined the effect of the very good song before that. That musical should have been way shorter.
  4. I was pretty disappointed overall. Mostly by how weak the dialogue was. Too many jokes didn't work for me, and the few that worked were often repeated way too much. I also didn't like how dim Luke was throughout the episode. Lorelai is still quite immature, which isn't a surprise, but even by her standards she was pretty terrible here. She had sufficient time to come up with a nice story about Richard. Yes, their relationship was strained, and he was too busy throughout her childhood, but it's not like they never had nice moments together. Frankly, I couldn't care less about Rory's love life so it was a bit of a relief it didn't get much attention so far. She is still selfish, irresponsible and spoiled just like she was in the latter seasons and yet everyone is treating her like a princess so nothing new there.
  5. How the hell did Kenneth and Jessica manage to hide that Jason and Charles weren't the same age and Charles was actually a few years older? Why even bother? And why the hell was this document left in a sealed room in Radley anyway? Nothing in the plot makes any sense this season. This Scooby-do mask nonsense is just the cherry on top.
  6. Emily should still get paid for her eggs if the show is supposed to make sense. She did her part of the deal, whether her clients would use the eggs is not her problem anymore. Anyway, another really boring episode. I couldn't care less about Shower's drama, Byron and Ella getting back together for the 18th time or so, and how much of a bitch Hanna's boss is. Also, the new A seems just as dumb as the girls (Charlotte would never fall for Caleb's obvious trick), so they may have a chance now.
  7. I know that the Rosewood cops are really dumb, but even for them the fact that several days after the murder they apparently haven't checked the surveillance records of the hotel where the main suspects were staying is quite a stretch. Especially given that the hotel is run by the mother of one of the suspects who is in a great position to tamper with them if given enough time. Or maybe they did check on them before Hannah deleted them which makes the Liars's decision to erase them look even dumber.
  8. Vanessa Ray was really good, which made the reveal somewhat tolerable. But the plot still didn't make any sense, not that I expected anything else. Charlotte became A because she heard from Mona the girls were happy Alison was dead? WTF? She should have stopped harassing them after her super surveillance equipment showed her that was blatantly not the case. If she was lying, why did she harass them? Because she was crazy and just felt like it? And everything about Toby's mom was so lazy and conflicting with older info that it just shows that the writers couldn't be bothered at all to make it the story even remotely coherent. Sarah Harvey joined forces with Charlotte because...she was crazy too? For the lulz? Again WTF? And Ian killed himself? This takes the cake. And the director is on Twitter saying that the show is all about "dream logic" so we should stop whining about timelines and plot holes. No, dude, your writers are just lazy and too obsessed with surprising the fans at all costs. This is no dream logic, it's pure hack work.
  9. So how old was Jason when Charles supposedly went to Radley? 7 or so, right? Pretty hard to believe his parents convinced him his brother was actually his imaginary friend. The whole story is quite idiotic. Especially given that Alison was supposed to behave been murdered early on in the show yet all the attention from the police and the media on the DiLaurentis never lead to this story becoming public and they somehow kept it a secret from everyone. Why is everyone pretending Mona doesn't exist anymore?
  10. This is probably a stupid question, but why didn't Alison just say that she shoots a bow with her left arm? And aren't windshields supposed to be really hard to break or pierce? How did that arrow got so deep inside the car? Is Andrews or whoever shot this some kind of Hercules? Anyway, the whole trial was beyond dumb. No way anyone would get convicted so quickly on such scant evidence and without a dead body, let alone a beautiful 18 year old girl. The prosecutor had barely any evidence. I don't expect much realism from such shows, but this is just too much to take.
  11. Can anyone remind me what evidence there is against Alison? Why is everyone so convinced she is in major trouble and close to being convicted? Am I forgetting something or is the plot just stupid? The fact that none of the girls or, even more ridiculously, Caleb the super hacker, ever bothered to backup the text messages is idiotic even by the standards of this show. I was surprised Spenser and the English guy didn't manage to visit the Tower of London and the Bukingham palace too, since the writers were again working overtime to include as much English related cliches as possible in their scenes.
