Wasn't that over 10 years ago? Things have changed quite a bit. When he was working for GCPD, he got shot, which rendered him temporarily sterile, and on his last mission all of his teammates were killed. Those are life changing situations for many. Not to mention he is older and wants to settle down as a family man. Seems like the man is at a turning point in his life.
I think almost every character has changed their mind numerous times. How many times was Adam, Victoria or Nick never going to have anything to do with Victor, or Newman again? Devon quit his job at Jabot that Neil set up for him saying the business world was not his thing and not what he wanted in life. Yet he's in it now. Chance is allowed to change too. Everything he said in his early 20s, or even last year, is not his fate for life.
Victoria went to art school. Adam is the only one with a Harvard Business degree. Also his alter ego Spider was a [professional poker player. HE won! I will keep saying it until some one listens that there were 3 black SUVs on that dark road Butt left (Illegally) his 8 yr old in a car with an unleashed puppy.
A witness told Victor that he saw a blond woman then 'vanished'

3 Kelly (mourning mom who went suspiciously extra cray right after) She is Stiches SIS too.
Please do this SL before the show ends (soon?) I want Billy and Clo's heads to explode so bad and it might by them a SL that would offer an extra years worth o drama that even MWTs could write

I have no expectations of story narratives by TIIC. This writing regime hasn't been able to write themselves out of a corner yet. Sudden, clumsy, off-camera endings are the path of least resistance for TIIC.
I was interested in the new Rosales family. Rey Rey started out with a usless brother and ex-wife, then wasted pining over Sharon while she was in fuck with and pursuing Atonal. Lola was squandered on Kyle and left in Society's kitchen. Celeste Rosales made a small splash, then went back to Miami.
Since married to Sharon, Rey Rey's done very little, except follow dead leads and be manipulated by people he should be ignoring.
The sooner Darvon's paternal fantasies meet reality the better.
I know what you mean about magically gifted, talented, mature and rational children and/or teenagers (after the typical teenage run in with the law). Faith, Moses, and Connor's emotional manipulation of the adults around them, get on my nerves.
Christian, Johnny and Katie seem like the only normal kids on Show, in spite of Nick, NotBilly and Victoria as parents. But there's plenty of time to turn them into sociopaths and drug addicts.
OMG Billy's hollow chest (Leonardo is rolling in his grave having missed the chance to sculpt that torso)
Anyway, did anyone notice Sharon watching Chels - where is a volcano when you need one.

So Victor and Adam are trying to decide how to dispose of Gaines body while Nick looks like he is wondering how if air is clear why is the sky blue. Victor can have a few of the locals take charge of Gaines of he could put Nikki in charge of pest disposal. He should have 'took the money and run'.
