    S02.E02: Order

Very interesting episode but only 41mins long. This show needs longer episodes and binge watching.
  2. It takes me less than 16 steps to cross our whole apartment and its a 2 bedrooms quite comfy one (and yes I did try and counted how many steps needed - 15 😁). Where did this couple live? in a castle? And why sleep in the same room as your baby only to be like 10m away from him? The flashbacks editing was SO bad that they had to keep having subtitles "the first trial". It wasn't nice what Maddie did to her old friend, but it wasn't nice either that he surprised her and insisted to meet her. Still, she could have handled much better and I guess this will somehow bite her in the bum sooner or later. I think the writing is sloppy, the story is weak and everything relies on Bates' amazing acting skills. Cause so far the show hasn't made me care for most of its main characters. Olympia annoys me, her ex annoys me even more. Olympia's 2 aids are indifferent, only Maddie's hubby seems nice.. Plus, let's be serious here, which firm will hire a 75 years old lady and have her constantly running (literally) after the younger lawyers (that really annoys me, not a single person in this firm seems to care to walk slower when Maddie has to walk with them). As a consultant I guess it could be possible, but as a full time lawyer? It seems Maddie is super rich, I wonder if they gonna tells us how. Did she owned her own firm? If I heard well, they moved to the city, so if they are not locals that explains that she is not in big danger of being recognized (since she is rich and apparently quite successful in the law area). The bad writing and the lack of realism have started to weaken my interest in keep watching this. I will still give it a chance to see where it heading..
  3. this would work as you described if we talked about a couple of thousands. The stairs are narrow and create a bottleneck. Imagine 10000 people trying to come out. Even without poisonous air this would take a lot of time. At one point they would be able to close the door and at least a few hundreds would had survived.
  4. I dunno how it is in the books, but the thousands of dead bodies outside the Silo do not make sense. Since they seemed to have died in the Silo's perimeter, it means it only took a few mins. The stairs leading out are narrow and each Silo contains aprox 10000 people. So, the vast majority of the people should had seen that the ones outside started dying and had the time to close/seal the doors, stay inside and try to figure out if there was something they could do to survive. Except if they were all suicidal. I guess there must be a Silos government or something. The heads of each Silo and maybe a central Silo that coordinates everything. the biggest mystery though, is how/why the Silos were built? An experiment (as someone already suggested) or a series of catastrophic events that worked as a warning? Cause it must had taken a LOT of time to build all the Silos. We are talking about at least 18 of them. Or maybe a kind of James Bond villain trying to destroy the earth?
  5. meh... this was all over the place.. another forced dilemma/debate... yawn...
  6. I found it kind of meh... From one point, I loved the whole "engineering part" but dunno, there was something lacking and I am also not a big fan of the flashbacks. I think this show is "stalling" for no reason. It is like having way too much filler time, which is annoying when they show an episode per week. I guess if we could binge watch it would be different.
  7. ok.. am I the only one that I expected the victim to miraculously wake up while Olivia was holding her hand? I had this nightmare... There was crossover with LO SVU and ST Discovery, full with moments of Benson and Burnham dramatically whispering to each other and then the universe imploded. Brrrrr!!!!!
  8. I enjoy the show, the characters, the cases and the location. The only thing that annoys me is... Martha. I find Humphrey's and Martha's stories boring and annoying at the same time. Those two behave like idiots. Spoilers for 2nd season: I really didn't get the marriage/no marriage drama. I also didn't like how they treated Martha's mother and why they just don't try to adopt a child instead of being foster parents. Not even sure a foster parent could take a kid into a police station. In any case their plots is the weakest link of the show for me, except from when they visited the DIP island.
  9. I was lured into this by the stellar cast. I stopped watching after episode two. This way of storytelling is driving me crazy. Rely on a "mystery" cause you have a weak story. I just can't stand a "story" where we see people just acting without us knowing why. And ok, I could understand keeping what really happened for the finale, but having a man planning a revenge that includes murder without telling us why he thinks Cathryn is guilty was ultra frustrating. And the only flashbacks were basically fiction that his wife created based on their son's photos. ARGH! But I was curious enough to google for the book's spoilers and I realized the issue was with the book and not with the show. So after you brave people watched the whole thing, what do you think this story was about? How creepy Jonathan and his family were? a comment about our society ? What grief can do to people? What rape can do to the victim? All of the above? No message, just a bad written story with some style and not much sense? Too many series not enough good (or even average) writers?
  10. I did enjoy this season (I honestly can't remember if 1st season was better since it was quite a while ago) but I also think the writing was weak. During the whole thing, it felt like if I was watching a serious version of "Veep" or the "Thick of it" (especially every time the English PM was talking, usually insulting everything and everyone) and when the couples were arguing I had "Moonlighting" vibes. And the end of the season was SO VEEP that I started giggling. On a serious note, the whole "its ok for you to get sacrificed when the American need to save the world" makes me puke. And even more seriously, why everyone thinks, or rather uses the argument, that the Russians want to conquer the whole world? I just can't accept this as an excuse for anything.
  11. The right title of this episode should be "Our Lady Ladies of Immaculate Deception".
  12. This was the VEEPiest episode so far. So many witty quotes, so much fun. Except the end, did the PM got the old lady?
  13. Nope. Every time I see this kind of scenes on Tv (or movies) I am pretty much sure the director has a pee pee fetish! Cause really, people with their status do not behave like this. I am pretty much sure they have toilets in Bagdad.
  14. Exactly! They said the "good man" enough times to make me wonder a) if he will literally survive the night b) if he is the one behind the conspiracy
  15. Do you also go pee while your significant other brushes his/her teeth only to have a very serious conversation with him/her? Was there any point on this scene except from showing us Keri on the throne?
