  1. I am not sure it was just a fire blanket, I think it was a fire shelter, which is designed as a last resort in case you are trapped in a wildfire. But even a fire shelter can not always be enough, I remember a few years ago all these unlucky firefighters that died in the US even if they used their fire shelters.. :(
  2. hee hee, I am not sure resolution of serial killers plots and The Rookie are compatible. Although yes, I agree, at least (for the time being?) we are done with him.
  3. Ok ok, we need to start a bet pool: will this be the end of this serial killer arc or he will appear again sooner or later? Hmmm.. what are the odds, 2 seasons from now, a copy cat killer will appear and abduct Harper and put her in a barrel? hmmm.... indeed! Talking about odds, what you think they are our favorite firewoman-paramedic-princess warrior-Bailey is *always* at the same spot as her hubby, especially during an emergency in such a small place like LA? Geez, this board really needs a poll function! The liar rookie keeps lying. But this time he did it to save his bum, even if all the blame goes to his boss for putting a rookie in charge of such an important task during such a crisis. But at least he gave him notebooks... tsk tsk tsk.... Are we supposed to care about Harper's hubby, his friend and that gang? I loved it how the gang dude knew exactly when his target will be at the specific point so he could shoot her, with a hand gun, it was a hand gun, right? I mean the gang dude must be a reincarnation of Billy the Kid or Wyat Erpp or something, shooting so successfully two people with a hand gun through a moving car while HE was driving! I am not even sure Bailey could achieve something like that. Congrats gang dude, you win the Bailey award of the week! Oh, Lucy and Tim. I like them as an item, we do not need wildfires just be together already!
  4. I am kind of bored of all these moral dilemmas for the shake of dilemmas.. Inconsistent characters, stupid judges' rulings all for each episode's "in your face" debate. boring..
  5. I like that the show is not very kind with its main hero and also points that things in life are not black or white. The whole Ellie situation was indeed heartbreaking and I am pretty sure by now their crusade it is their way to avoid the bitter truths and the trauma that followed Ellie's death. In other news, I hope Billy Sarah (and why not Simone) will leave to create their own firm and we never get to see them again in this show. Every moment with these two annoys me. I am not even sure what they are supposed to be in this show. Comic relief? Just filler time? In any case I think we would be much better without them. Sarah has become a caricature. Does Julian has the worst hairstyle? it is so bad it distracts me. Honestly, I expect his hair to suddenly get alive and strangle him or something... or start talking to him like some kind of an evil alter ego. Maybe it was the evil hair that did the opioids cover up. Yep, that wouldn't surprise me! After all it seems it is fed with a lot of hairspray... the evil hair is addicted!
  6. They said he disappeared (probably escaped and went to hide).
  7. Any episode that makes me root for Maroon is a bad episode. I am not a law expert, but I really cannot get why the judge decided to dismiss anything about the mother's abusive past. It is like this almost in every episode, judges seem to make decisions only to accommodate the writers needs. It has become ridiculous.
  8. Ok, this was quite "bingeable". Well made, stellar cast and De Niro was simply amazing. There were some interesting topics and I did like Mullen's final decision, you do need to face the truth if you gonna want to have a chance to resolve the issue. There were some plot holes though, especially with the daughter. The "I did not expect to have dead people" was completely idiotic coming from someone like her. What exactly she expected? And how on earth she believed in the plotters' cause? I think her involvement with the conspiracy was more for the shock factor. Also her mother's "I do not want to loose another child" was so lame, hey lady, tell that to the mothers of the thousands that perished thanks to your child. The conspiracy. Truth to be told, world history is full with morons who craved for power and had absolutely no problem sacrificing thousands to millions to complete their quest, which was usually disguised with inspiring words and grand causes. We live in times where everyone seems lost, like a running headless chicken. We are so busy getting divided with the insignificant and we end up ruin the things that matter. So, the series might felt simplistic to some, but hell, it was right to the point.
  9. If Seth lies about his cancer then this would be ridiculous. We know Rookie is not famous for it's realism, but I guess a POLICE force would thoroughly check an officer that says he is seriously ill, if not to establish if he says the truth at least to establish if and when he will be fit to go back on duty. Except if Seth is some kind of criminal mastermind who can fake documents and his purpose is to conquer the world, you know..like Elija and the red hair laywer.
  10. Congrats to Celina and the writers that have finally turned her to a nice addition to the cast, when at the beginning she was simply annoying. I think the writers confuse rookies' inexperience and nervousness with them being annoying idiots. Like they are doing this year with the Texas dude and the liar. I will also give credit to the writers for making Smitty the comic relief/mascot of the show instead of the idiotic slightly villain he was at the beginning. And here stop the good words for the writers. So mighty-Saint Nolan has no problem that his wife conspired with a hitman with the result of TWO people being killed. But...she was scared... yeah.. how much of a valid legal argument this would be on a court? I do not feel any kind of sympathy for Bailey and her hypocrite husband. On a serious note, it is very difficult for a woman to protect herself from abusers and stalkers, but I am not sure this show delivers the right message here. Seth, Seth, Seth, you are so expendable.. please take the Texas dude with you.
  11. lol, yeah I forgot about this cause well, don't care about this characters!
  12. My main problem with this show it is the side characters. They are not intriguing or interesting. I do not care about Sarah, or her other colleague that I can't even remember his name now, I could not care less about Julian, Senior or even Olympia. The only ones that are slightly interesting are Shae and that lady from Archives. Talking about Shae, could she be Senior's daughter? As for realism, I treat 90% of recent TV shows as fantasy ones, since writers cover their constant weak writing with stupidity. Still, I think we deserve an episode with Matty's backstory. How she is so rich? I would not mind a flashback episode.
  13. Cute episode! And yes, add me to the Ioan club please :) I had never heard of Nancy Wilson before, thank the Gods for Shazam, cause at the beginning I was sure it was Eartha Kitt, lol!

  15. The boat's name is "Katina"??? ok... in Greek, Katina is a nickname for Katerina/Catherine.. but it also has the meaning of a very gossipy, petty, mean person. It is an impressive boat, but I can help giggling every time I see the name.
