The Maxwells were on 19 Kids and Counting. Even in their frumpy days, they were always middle class fundies. Steve and Teri went to college.
Sarah moved out last year at 39 and now she is 40 and getting married in August. Her fiance's name is Kory (K-o-r-y) Ballinger.
Her sister Anna is going to accredited college called Appalachian Bible College and she is 29. She is working as a camp counselor.
Her sister Mary is going to the same college as Anna and she is 25. She is spending the summer as a missionary in Africa.

Plenty of women change their minds after graduation. Or something comes up where they need to not work for a while.
While it would be nice to see Michael working, it's none of the school's business.

Yup, they let 17 year old Justin loose on 18/19 year old Claire. Not that big of an age gap there, a hair under 2 years.
Justin was 16 when he started with Claire. They announced the engagement right after his 18th birthday. Claire said they'd been together 14 months, so he was 16 and she was 18.
How was Josh when was with the Holt girl?

I suppose the other kids were left at the TTH.
I think Jessa nurses a long time. She said she enjoys it. It also might help space out pregnancies (although not a guaranteed method).

I'm very concerned about Carlin's health situation. I don't think she was overreacting and I don't think it's fake.
I think they went to California, because it seemed less serious then and they're fundies. No fundies like hearing the word "no".
Since she came back, her condition seemed to be accelerating and fast. She keeps going to the hospital. She has babies so she knows that can be expensive.
I have had many friends and relatives with health conditions. Here is some thoughts based on being my experience:
1. A friend of mine is dealing with a possible cancer diagnosis. We don't know, because they don't know. He has to go to back to the specialist. My guess is Carlin has an appointment with her specialists and all they can do is either wait for an episode or until they see doctors during a scheduled appointment.
2. Another friend has been dealing with many on-going surgeries. She had seizures, but she doesn't have epilepsy. I forget what she had, but they did a surgery to try to prevent seizures.
3. Many women I know have been told their problems are imaginary or in their heads only to see someone else and find an actual diagnosis. I don't think anyone knows what is going on with Carlin. It's possible once the hospital ran the tests; they didn't know what to do. The next step would be to see a specialist who isn't there.
I wouldn't be filming this, but then I don't film and I wasn't filmed from childhood. Carlin has been on television since childhood when her family was on the Duggars' show. At this point, youtube/ social media is probably their main form of income. Youtube is unreliable and doesn't pay that well. I'm Evan would rather be working than having his wife so sick.

Both Jill and Derick have defended physical punishment for kids. Jill often seemed overwhelmed and the boys were constantly doing dangerous balancing exercises.
I would be surprised if Jill tried to have a homebirth and I hope she decides to have c-section ahead of time this time. We only know that Jill attempted one homebirth (with Israel). With Sam, I think she tried to have VBAC and it didn't work.

I looked up Jonathan Hill's church in MS where is dad is pastor. I'm no fan of anything IFB and have no desire to ever meet them in my so-called real life - but IMO the Hills are several cuts above the Rods in education, literacy, and general life skills.
Over on reddit somebody posted info and links about the Hills a few months ago when the courtship was announced/being speculated about. One of the links was to a page on the church website about the Hill family - but that page no longer exists. I clicked all over the church site; it has a lengthy bio page for pastor Hill - he's entitled to be called Dr. Hill as he does hold I think a doctorate in education from some Christian college. There are big paragraphs about his career in the bio, but not a single word about his wife or kids.
Here's what I think: there used to be a whole page about the Hill family on the site so there was no reason for his bio page to mention them. Then, sometime in the last few months, that page was yanked from the church site. But they haven't edited dad's bio page to throw in the usual reference to the wife and kids.
I wonder if the extra attention that came their way via crazy JillR prompted them to STFU on the website about the family. Or just meeting the Rods and knowing how they operate. But for whatever reason, Pastor Hill is no longer featuring his wife and I think 13 kids on his church website.
I did visit his wife's FB page for their farm. She raises goats and I think also cattle. There are other animals including hedgehogs. One of the married sons has a lizard breeding/sales business. I saw a photo of Mrs. (Sarah) Hill. She looks intelligent, healthy, and wasn't flashing a face loaded with cheap makeup. Kind of the anti-Jill. I'd call it a natural look. (ETA: the FB page is written in normal English, apparently by an adult, with no overuse of exclamation points and no random capitalization. And the photos aren't selfies.Just saying.)
I browsed through recent back issues of the weekly church bulletin. Jonathan makes regular appearances there, listed as the speaker at the Sunday night service, and a brother as the speaker on Wednesday nights.
Does the reptile-breeding son also breed snakes for handling in church?
Jill did mention a lot about the Hills at the beginning of the courtship. They have 13 kids-9 boys and 4 girls. The Rods have 13 kids -4 boys and 9 girls. I think the Hills didn't like the adverse attention, so Jill dialed it back.
I bet the Hills are well-connected and may present grifting opportunities.
I hope Kaylee and Jonathan get married. Normally I don't like fundies getting married and especially young fundies like Kaylee, but in this case, I'm happy she's leaving.

Considering Hannah is 26, I wonder if she at least had alcoholic gummy bears. I know they don't drink, but it wouldn't surprise me if she and her of-age siblings at least tried alcohol.
The timing of the wedding is interesting in that it's less than 2 weeks before J*sh's sentencing.
Hannah is the oldest Duggar bride so far. Hannah will be about 3 months older than Abbie when she got married.

Being skinny doesn't necessarily mean infertile and neither does being flat-chested. You'd be surprised, but I've known many skinny women who've had babies.

Sadly, I foresee a "What a surprise, we're pregnant!" announcement in the not too distant future.
They've already said they're considering more kids. It would be nice if she wasn't pregnant by the end of the year, but don't count on it.

Maybe they should be concerned rather than taking pictures, but I'm glad they're taking this in stride and hopefully not punishing her too severely.

The baby name website Nameberry successfully predicted the ending based on Tom's last name. William "Bill" Wambsganss was a player in the 1920 World Series of American baseball. He is so far the only player in the World Series history to make an unassisted triple where he got three people out in one play. The woman who runs the Nameberry account pointed Tom basically has the same last name Wambsgans and he can make a triple play by getting all three Roy siblings out in the final half.
It's clear Tom was going to win. Shiv's pregnancy was also probably a done deal from the beginning. I wanted both better and worse for these characters. Shiv probably realized Tom would win and wanted to be kept on board.
