  1. And to think I thought Caesar was supposed to appear this season, unless they're saving him for the fifth (should there be one).

But yeah, for a Stinkmeaner episode, this was not good.  The one about the Hateocracy should've been the conclusion of his saga.  There was just no point to this one at all.

And I can't believe Ed would do that to Robert.  I thought they were old friends from the war.  Like, Korea or Vietnam?

  2. What gets me about this show is that sometimes they pretty much let you know who the perp is from the beginning or at least in the middle of the episode.  Others, they keep you guessing like other L&O shows to the end.  I don't get that format.  What is the point of letting us know who it is sometimes?  Doesn't that rid us of the suspense?

  3. The F3 is looking like Adam & Bethany, Amy & Maya, and Misti & Jim.  Brooke & Robbie were more than likely the final team eliminated.

Huzzah!  A women's team made it to the end!  Now I hope they can pull off the win and give us our third winning women's team!

. . . Though true to typical TAR fashion, watch it be totally predictable and come down to the two couples, Adam & Bethany and Misti & Jim.

This makes the projected elimination order:

    11th: Lisa & Michelle.
    10th: Dennis & Isabelle.

    9th: Michael & Scott.

    8th: Shelley & Nici.

    7th: Keith & Whitney.

    6th: Tim & Te Jay.

    5th: Kym & Alli.

    4th: Brooke & Robbie.

F3: Adam & Bethany, Amy & Maya, and Misti & Jim.

  4. Rusun, that's the boot order I'm thinking, too.

I'm hoping that Amy & Maya reach the F3 to rep it for the women's teams.  But a sighting for them in Manila with Maya apparently crying over being in last doesn't make things look good.  Granted, it was on the antepenultimate leg, which they didn't seem to know was an NEL (or maybe they did), but still, staying in the same city on the following leg usually means no bunching, so if they got a Speed Bump, I can't see them catching back up unless at least one of Misti & Jim, Adam & Bethany, or Brooke & Robbie really screws up.

  5. Race appeared in Denmark for a time, as well as Morocco, Malta, and Singapore.

Suspected F4 is leaving Singapore and might be heading for the Philippines:

    Adam & Bethany (surfer couple)
    Misti & Jim (dentist couple)
Amy & Maya (white/black food scientists)
    Brooke & Robbie (wrestlers)

Not surprised that both men's teams got booted before this point, as well as the mother/daughter team, Shelley & Nici.  I'm sad about them, though, because I was really rooting for another mother/daughter team since we haven't had one in eight seasons (or sixteen if you count TAR9's Wanda & Desiree as the last true mother/daughter team and not TAR17's Andie & Jenna).

Really surprised, though, that Keith & Whitney didn't make it this far.

  6. as much as I like Jeff Goldblum, he was so miscast for this show and well, bitterness abounds so this viewer was so not interested in watching the even numbered episodes!

Meh.  I liked Wheeler enough that I could watch Nichols's episodes.  Though I hate how she went from an almost equal partner with Logan, actually actively helping to solve the crimes, to basically relegated to sidekick duty with Nichols.  I get Jeff's a fantastic actor, but come on!  He wasn't the only one on the team!

  7. Based on the past few seasons, the contestants who do the best on the blind taste tests go the furthest in the competition. Ramsay often compliments their palettes in his pep talks when the competition gets this far, i.e. Nona, Mary, and Ja'nel. So I wouldn't be surprised to see Rochelle and Scott in the final 2.

And I remain positive that that's not gonna happen.  Ramsay only complimented Rochelle on her palate.  He didn't say a word about Scott's.  Or if he did, we certainly weren't shown it.

  8. Ygritte killed the kid's dad, though, not the Thenn.

Oh, she did?  Okay.  I was actually just Web-surfing at the time and listening to it in the background while my boyfriend watched, so I had no idea.  In that case, I'm okay with him killing her now.

    Who killed his mom, though?

  9. Welp, someone here called it and the kid killed Ygritte.

I really think he should've killed the leader.  You know, the one who killed both his parents and told him to his face that he was going to eat them.  Instead, it seems the fat guy killed him.

  10. Absolutely.  Eames was a good cop.  In fact, despite being less experienced than Goren, I still felt that there were times that she showed herself as an even better cop than he was.  She deserved some moments of glory.  Especially since there were numerous times where she put the final piece in the puzzle, but still had to play in the background to Goren.

I think this is why I always looked forward to the episodes with the "second" or "alternative" pairs more.  Say what you will about Logan's pairings with Barek, Wheeler, and even Falacci.  In all of those cases, they busted their perps together.  There was almost never a case of one of them overshadowing the other in doing so like Goren did with Eames.

  11. I think what made "Senseless" so disturbing was the graphic nature of the crime. We actually saw the attack, and the victims getting shot. Not just them lying there after the fact.

What made me filled with rage was that the main perp, even after Logan and Falacci caught him, was so unapologetic and unrepentant for what he'd done.  At least his flunkies had remorse for it.

Honestly . . . I'm one of few who was probably never a fan of Goren.  But this season's finale, which finally saw the end of the overused Nicole, kind of made me angry that Goren wasn't the one to finish her off.  And that we didn't even see her get sent off the mortal plane.  His old mentor had to be the one to do it?  WTF?!

  12. Putting Scott up for elimination last night though was ridiculous. I agree that he's not a strong chef but in no way should he have been next to Anton.

Problem is, who else could there have been?  Joy was the only one on the team who hadn't made any errors during service, and Kashia only made the mistake with braising the salmon.  Scott and Anton were the two who'd messed up the most.

  13. Though of course, this season also gave us "Worlds' Fair" a Logan episode, which is one of my favorites.

It was a Logan and Wheeler episode.  And I liked that episode if only for the awkward faces on Logan, Wheeler, and Meena's father as Wheeler was used as the prop for how Meena got killed.

Speaking of the latter, this season also saw the departure of Barek and the introduction of Wheeler as her replacement.  Honestly . . . I don't know why everyone is so down on her.  Most places I go, people liked her, for the most part.  I mean, yeah, her youthful look made her come off as less experienced than she was, and she seemed a bit too low-key.  But it says something to me that the writers took more care to flesh out her character's background and personality than they did with Barek.  Plus, I think Julianne herself was pretty low-key in her acting, hence why Wheeler might've come off as such.  Plus, Wheeler appearing so young did help them quite a few times, like when she "played young" in "Maltese Cross" and was picked to speak to the "kidnappers" in "Weeping Willow" (which had one of the moments she showed a larger amount of personality -- her complete reluctance to make the public announcement when Logan and Ross both looked to her to do it).

On the whole, despite the complaints about Wheeler, she'd always been my favorite of the Logan partners.  I thought she was a decent fit for him as a partner, and it seemed like season six was partly about them coming together and respecting each other as partners.

  14. Barek never really worked as Logan's partner, but "In the Wee Small Hours" is just one of the best things to ever happen.

My favorite Barek moment, like, ever came in part one of that -- when Goren, Eames, and Logan are trying to figure out the club in which the missing girl was last seen based on the description, and Barek pretty much comes up with the name in just seconds.  This brought some GLORIOUS WTF?! looks from Goren and Eames, prompting Barek to explain that she had favors there, followed by Logan trying not to laugh at their surprise.

  15. I liked Stevens and wished we'd gotten to learn more about her.  And I liked the episode in which Nichols and Stevens busted that college dance student who killed one girl out of desperation for the friendship of another.

But that's about it.  My main interest in this show died after Logan left.  (Unlike many viewers, Goren and Eames weren't my main reason to watch.  Logan and his various partners were.)
