  1. I'm both sad and not.  Sad, because Joy was my favorite, I thought she would take it all, and really wanted her to.  But not, because of the reason she quit.  At least she acknowledged that she pissed it all away.

Anyone else think Ramsay had sort of a look on his face that said, "Crap!  My chosen winner's gone, and now, I have to pick one of these people now!"?

  2. I don't agree. At all. Helen's game play was really bad.

I thought that, save for being snowed by Howard and Spencer when the Moving Company was in power, Helen's gameplay was good.  It's after she got HoH and got an extreme case of HoH-itis really early into her stint that her gameplay started turning bad.  I mean, the big alliance she formed to take Nick and then Jeremy out ended up splintering and then cracking into factions almost entirely because of her incessant talking and spilling of others' secrets.

Though I will say that Devin's very close to topping her case of HoH-itis.  If he hasn't already.

  3. Why the hell would you leave a good-bye message like that one she left to Rachel, a JURY member?

I've always wondered if that was a mistake made by production, and that Ivette had intended that message for Howie, not Rachel.  If so, that kind of screwed Ivette royally.

Otherwise, if that really was Ivette's message for Rachel, then I don't know what she was thinking when she recorded it.

  4. I actually didn't mind how Korra dealt with the basement slacker for the simple fact that he really was that unmotivated, to the point that even his own mother agreed with how he was handled (and even tried to join in)!

I like Kai, the new boy, though he needs to stop stealing.

The new villains seem incredibly bad-ass, especially the Waterbender who bent without arms!

  5. I wouldn't.  Despite my theory, Scott's fucked up way too many times.  Much more than Joy, Jason, Rochelle, and Melanie.  The only people he had left to hide behind were Gabriel and Kashia.  And with both of them now gone, he's more or less exposed.  Maybe he could slip past Rochelle and her nerves, but Joy, Jason, or Melanie?  Not a chance unless they really fuck up a service.

  6. I think it's going to be Scott and Joy.

I've been thinking since last week that Scott would be the Virginia/Bonnie/Petrozza of this season -- the person put up for elimination so many times, either by the other contestants or by Ramsay -- but still kept in the game and dragged to the F2 because Ramsay knows he'll pick the other contestant (Heather/Rock/Christina) over the continuous screw-up.  And him escaping yet another elimination has me thinking that even more.  If Scott gets to the end, his opponent will likely be someone who'll crush him with no problems.

  7. After awhile I agreed with you Donny Ketchum.

    Agreed about what, Maherjunkie?

Also, I'll repeat that I quite liked Stevens in this season and can't believe the lack of mentions for her.  If nothing else, the writers allowed her to do more things as Nichols's partner than they ever let Wheeler do.

  8. I only half pay attention to this story line, but I was hoping we'd see Kate show some indecision about outing where the siblings were.  I thought she'd think back to what she went through as well as Austin and Billie.

In fairness, Kate doesn't know Clyde was Jordan and Ben's abuser.  As far as she knows, he's just someone they stole from.

  9. Was that David Anders sitting at the OxFam table?

That did look a lot like him.  If it was, I had no idea he was part of that organization.

I remember Nilka was eliminated during service in Season 7.

I have not seen HK7.  Was it basically for the same reason as Josh and Gabriel?

  10. I was wondering.  Are this season's Gabriel and HK3's Josh the only two to ever be eliminated during dinner service?  Or have there been others.

Gotta say I was actually surprised and disappointed that there was no regular elimination to go with Gabriel's dinner service elimination.  Back in HK3, Ramsay still eliminated someone after he threw Josh out at F5 (it was the tragic elimination of Julia at the F4).  So I don't see what was wrong with eliminating Scott or Jason at F6 after Gabriel's F7 ouster.

  11. Scott is fake. That's why I don't like him...he's a kiss ass. Just blech.

THIS.  I don't like Scott for those reasons at all.  Just a brown-nosing phony.  I don't know why so many here are clinging to him so much.  And he is NOT one of the best.  Otherwise, he wouldn't have been put up for elimination so many damn times!

If he reaches the F2, which I hope doesn't happen, it'll only be because Ramsay is seeding him to lose to whomever he chooses to win (a la Heather vs. Virginia, Rock vs. Bonnie, and Christina vs. Petrozza).

  12. Paola shocked me with what seems to be a legit girlpower stance, and I unexpectedly dig her, even with the super-confidence. I would love to see her play that himbo like a violin.

This.  I like Paola if only for her astute observation that men typically run the house in BB seasons.  She even mentioned the Brigade (ugh)!  Meanwhile, women are constantly run down because they are too busy being catty with one another.  BB12 being the biggest example, as their cattiness resulted in only ONE of them reaching the F7.  Also, that is a big reason that there have been so many all-male F2s and so few all-female ones.  Men have been able to beat other men and women in the F2 because of this, but women have only been able to beat other women.  So yeah, I hope Paola can pull this off and do something for the women this season.

But yeah, she's going to have to not be so obvious about it.  It's amazing the men haven't cottoned to her yet.

So far, as well as Paola, I like Donny, Devin, Joey, Nicole, and Amber.  Need more time with Frankie. But I agree with the Jeremy comparisons made to Cody.  Don't think I'm gonna like him.

  13. It's funny - I see the bad notice Scott and Rochelle are getting as having a lot to do with the fact that noisy cannonfodder like Kashia and Anton keep trying to get rid of them for fairly flimsy reasons. Something similar happened to Mary last season. Once again, though, Ramsay doesn't seem to be biting.

Joy, Jason, and Melanie are three of the stronger chefs, and all of them have given poor confessionals about Scott, and Jason and Melanie have given poor confessionals about Rochelle.  So no, I don't think it's just the "cannon fodder" chefs who've said things about them.

And if Ramsay's accepted their nominations before, he clearly has been biting.

  14. I think they are underestimating him.

I do not.  I think he's the standard fifth- or sixth-place-finisher (fourth, if I really wanna be generous) who'll make an okay run, but get booted because others are clearly better.  There's a reason his edit is as lacking in compliments as he himself is.

  15. One of my favorites Eames moments was in the episode in which she and Goren tracked down that evil professional guy who was killing all of his mistresses one by one by drowning them in bathtubs.  As part of his plan to break the guy, Goren tried tempting him using Eames and her sex appeal (and during that season, I recall that she had a lot of it to spare!).  Well, after interviewing him and Goren relieved her, seeing that the perp had cracked just enough for him to go at him, Eames left, saying that she had to go "wash off the slime."  All while sending a look of total disgust to the awful guy.

I just can't remember what episode that was, though I do remember it being season one.
