  1. I took it as confirmation that Vee did NOT see him as "her child" -- or see anyone else that way. People have value to Vee only to the extent that she can use them. If she has no further use for you, well...
  2. Word. Granted I'm a non-religious person and so can't relate to whatever drama is involved in being both religious and vain, but her backstory was neither shocking nor reductive to Sister Ingalls for me. In fact, it falls perfectly in line with the character I got to know in S1... which is more than I can say for a lot of the various "character development" we've seen this season. More word to whoever is praying that the silly Larry/Polly hookup is them being written out of the show. Neither is interesting to me, and I'm especially sick of Larry. Why can't his screen time go to Piper's brother? I loved seeing Alex again. Every time she's on my screen, it's a treat. This show would be so much less without her.
  3. Didn't he stand aside and watch while Tucky attacked Piper with a potentially lethal weapon? Didn't he sneer and then walk away while Piper begged for his help? I think he's a pretty bad guy, especially considering that keeping these women safe is his job Sorry, but an adult being manipulated does not excuse horrific, sociopathic behavior. Standing aside and allowing that lunatic to beat her best friend half to death is completely, utterly inexcusable. I don't blame the actress for being nervous about how Taystee2.0 would be received, because I don't even recognize her. I see nothing likable about this new character they're calling "Taystee." If they had to have this new person on the show, I wish they would have left Taystee alone and cast another actress to play her.
  4. ITA. Right now I think she's so awful that I can't even vaguely recollect why I loved her last season. It feels like she's been rewritten into an entirely different, utterly unlikable person. At this point I'm really, really missing Alex.
  5. That scene gave me ugly flashbacks of the last time I had to fly and when the same thing happened to me. I was humiliated, and utterly powerless in that hands of a smirking asshole who dragged me off to a "private inspection" room so he could make sure that I was REALLY pregnant. I hated Cindy. Yes, I know that in the grand scheme of things her horrible behavior is small potatoes, but everything she did infuriated me. She might be from from a historically disempowered group, but once she had a little power in her hands the gloves were off. Harassment, bullying, threats, theft, it's all juuuuust fine for Cindy
