S03.E02: Painelss

When a prosecutor mysteriously drops dead in the middle of a courtroom, Pierce and Moretti go on the hunt for a killer. Meanwhile, Moretti and Donnie make some decisions about their future.

I thought it was a decent episode.  I'm not sure I buy the idea of one choosing not to be happy, although it is true that pain medication does make a broken heart feel better.  I also liked the use of chronic analgesia.

 

 

I felt sorry for both the vigilantes though. I know you're not supposed to take the law into  your own hands but when the law if wrong, it is very hard not to.

 

Glad to see Daniel's hallucinations are back on track.

That was a pretty fancy chalk drawing of a brain on the classroom board at the end. Whose handiwork was it supposed to be? Daniel's? Lewicki? Haven't all chalk boards been replaced with white boards?

I was confused about something in this episode. The Ghost said he tracked the prosecutor down by tracing the IP address of the emails that Painless sent him, but wasn’t it the sister the one who was sending him the emails? I feel like I must have missed something.

@Rambler, I think the sisters lived together?

Yes, the sisters lived together and they both had the analgesia so he mistook the lawyer for the sister he had been communicating with.

Dang - I called both sisters had the illness, but I thought the rogue cop killed the human trafficker.  That probably would have been too much of a clean sweep though.

I can see Daniel using a chalkboard rather than a whiteboard.  He does seem to like things old school sometimes.
