AwesomO4000 January 26, 2015 Share January 26, 2015 (edited) Hee, DDD, I need to visit that pie page, too, but have a feeling it could lead to much "lost" time - like when I sometimes decide to visit the tropes website site and next thing I know, two hours have gone by. This quote below I didn't remember entirely, but I remembered the scene and knew it would fit our current theme. Abundantly appetizing decadence awaits... Demented Daisy January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 Oddly enough, it was. ;-) I wasn't sure if it was "uh" or "um". On that note.... Dean: "Roman acquires"... what's Sucrocorp? Sam: They make food additives, namely high-fructose corn syrup. That crap is in... Well, it's in just about everything... um, soda, sauces, bread... Dean: Don't say "pie". Sam: Definitely pie. Dean: Bastards. 1 Link to comment
AwesomO4000 January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 Sooo sorry. But I'm glad you didn't have to wait too long. Yay! You're up to bat. And hee... Poor Dean, hitting him where it hurts in his Gas 'n Sip packaged pie and they probably use canned fruit filling, greasy spoon diner pie. Heh. Though I do agree with DDD that a little more fact-checking would've helped... but then again, I laughed at South Park's gluten episode, too (12 year old me really got a work out on that one), so I tended to let it slide. Now gross insect inaccuracies will get my goat, but we all have our biases. ; ) 2 Link to comment

DittyDotDot January 28, 2015 Author Share January 28, 2015 Got it...chemicals, not preservatives as I remembered... Sam: Look at these chemicals. Do you even read the label? Dean: No. I read "pie". The rest is just "blah, blah, blah". Heh, sometimes it's better not to read the labels, especially if your gonna eat it anyway. Ignorance can be bliss! ;) 1 Link to comment
AwesomO4000 January 28, 2015 Share January 28, 2015 Hee. And I remember that scene too * (I think it's in the same episode or close to the one with my above quote). And it's especially amusing considering the egg white omelet scene in tonight's episode. I loved that Sam thought it was awesome, but Dean was all "grumble, grumble, where's my artery clogging fat?" Hee. * And it reminded me of both the "blah blah bla blah" scene in "Tall Tales" (Hee: Sam exposition = chemical food additives), and one of my favorite Far Side cartoons... (the below is a paraphrase.) Panel 1: What you say: "Time to go outside, Ginger. Let's get your leash on. Come on, let's go Ginger." Panel 2: What your dog hears: "Blah blah blah, Ginger. Blah blah blah blah blah, Ginger." And you are so right about ignorance being bliss though for some things, DittyDotDot. Link to comment
