I watched this over the past few weeks on netflix, and I’ve read through the episode posts.  This was a fascinating tale.  

In episode 6, following the hypnosis scenes, there was a sex scene.  I couldn’t tell for sure who was involved.  Was it Dr. Jordan and the landlady?  I didn’t understand the purpose of the scene, unless to explain why Jordan signed up to be in the American Civil War.  Did anyone understand it and can explain?
