Trini February 14, 2019 Share February 14, 2019 Wow. So if anyone was at all interested in watching the un-aired episodes of this cancelled show, all 12 have been put up on CW Seed: https://www.cwseed.com/shows/time-after-time/ 1 Link to comment
Bort March 1, 2019 Share March 1, 2019 I’ve been bingeing the rest of the episodes. I actually backtracked a bit because I couldn’t remember what had happened. But DAMN, Brooke is an unhinged nutcase and I love her crazy ass. We meet her and Griffin’s dad in episode 8 and Brooke’s apple did not fall far from the tree. And that’s where I’ve stopped. Bort March 4, 2019 Share March 4, 2019 Well, I finished it. Annoyingly, it ends on a cliffhanger that was clearly a season 2 setup that was continuing the whole Project Utopia plotline -- which I thought was done once they killed off Griffin and Brooke. Just as well that it got cancelled then. I was rolling my eyes once that shit got brought up again. I gotta say, I really ended up liking Genesis Rodriguez in this towards the end. She started off the show kind of green but she really stepped up once she got her feet wet. Can cry right on cue. 1 Link to comment

I had the sinking feeling that it was going to end on a cliffhanger when I got to episode 12 and realized they STILL hadn't done the scene yet where H.G. visits Vanessa in the future or explain how they're related. I really thought it was just going to be the movie ending, which is Jane going with Wells to the past. I know the whole series was filmed in advance but they should've filmed an alternative ending where Jane goes with Wells and called it a day. I really think the acting picked up once we got to the island- Brooke's dad was amazingly psycho (I loved that it was different from Brooke's cold version of psycho) and Josh really got Genesis and Freddie to up their game towards the end. I was not a fan of John miraculously reviving despite loving Josh Bowman in this part. It just too much. There's recovering from a fatal gunshot wound, and then there's dead. Dude looked dead. GR and Freddie look like they're getting work. I also watched Josh in his part of a creepy doctor in Lifetime's wildly fictionalized version of Nellie Bly's 10 Days in the Madhouse. I can see him playing more parts like that. He worked the hell out of being a psycho. 1 Link to comment

Not so much with Freddie. He kept having this blank, dead-eyed stare every time HG was trying to look horrified at something John had done. John and Jane had such massive chemistry that I was afraid they would pull the trigger on some sort of ill-advised romance between them. Link to comment

Okay, I was trying to be nice about Freddie because he really is just the cutest thing. And he filled out a pair of jeans quite nicely, all I'm saying. LOL. I do wonder if this show might have had a shot if it had been released during the summer. ABC apparently burned off the remaining episodes during the summer of '17, according to the original airdates on the CW Seed app. Yeah, I kept thinking they were going to pair them up together...honestly, if the show HAD gone to a season 2, I think it might have happened. I cannot blame Genesis Rodriguez for having chemistry with Josh Bowman. That man has such an immense amount of charisma and sex appeal. He was the t.v. co-star that finally caught Emily VanCamp and made an honest woman out of her, lol. I did love Brooke's crazy-ass father. The stuff about John's "perfect" genes made me wonder though...what if the son actually did survive the fire at the Paris cafe but was just declared dead because the girlfriend witnessed him going into the building and the fire? For whatever reason (amnesia or PSTD) he doesn't resume his old life and he winds up with a child of Jane and HG, and said child then has Vanessa's mother. Either that, or the girlfriend had a baby, couldn't keep it, and the baby wound up being like Vanessa's grandparent or something. I did keep thinking that there would be a twist that HG, John, and Vanessa would all wind up related. Edited April 6, 2019 by methodwriter85 Link to comment

I don't know, it was one of a zillion shows about time travel that year, none of which are still around, I don't think. This particular show wasn't all that well-written, but most of the primary characters were played by fairly good actors and were compelling and interesting. I don't think I would have like a John/Jane pairing. Chemistry-wise, it would've been explosive, but logically, I don't think I would've bought that Jane would get involved/sleep with someone who she's seen murder countless people, not to mention the many times he's tried to kill her. I didn't mind Brooke doing it because she was just as sadistic and twisted as John was. I do wonder what the ultimate end game was for this show. It seemed like they had an outline and now we'll never know. I would have missed Brooke, though. Link to comment

And yes, Josh Bowman is seriously hot, especially because he got to use his British accent for the series. Link to comment
