Irlandesa October 25, 2014 Share October 25, 2014 I was one of the few that liked Walter. I think part of it was I thought Kevin Sussman was funny. But more importantly, the show knew what it was doing with him and what he represented. So it's not like I was rooting for him to be with Betty but I didn't mind the story because he served a purpose in that she would grow away from him. I think Ugly Betty kind of lost its way after the first thirteen episodes. Even though it had a telenovela template to follow, it quickly decided to not do anything the original telenovela did. Instead, it aimed to be campier, ignored the pre-established outline and floundered with direction. Link to comment
