Breaking In (2018)

So I didn't see a thread which is a crime because this movie is clearly going to be lit.

Breaking In is an upcoming American thriller film directed by James McTeigue and starring Gabrielle Union. Union is also set to produce the film alongside Will Packer, James Lopez, Craig Perry and Sheila Taylor. It is scheduled to be released on May 11, 2018. The film follows single mother Shaun Russell (Union) who, after the sudden death of her father, takes her two children, Glover and Jasmine, to his Malibu mansion in order to settle his estate. But at the mansion are four criminal convicts intent on finding the deceased’s safe and making off with its goods.

I've seen the promos and.....nah, I can wait until I get it on Netflix.  I don't see it as a "theater movie" to spend much money on.

Seriously? I would have thought that this Home Alone For GrownUps is exactly the kind of high-adrenaline movie that one needs to be a theater to get the full experience. I know that's the option I'm taking.  

Also whoever cast Ajiona Alexus as Gabrielle Union's screen daughter is a genius.

The movie was actually good. Gabrielle did a convincing job of being a concerned mother on a mission. And as someone up top mentioned, the girl playing her daughter was an excellent choice.

I really enjoyed this. Yes, it was predictable, but the cast was good. 

And I loved seeing Gabrielle Union play a badass mom.
