The Last Kingdom is a series of books by Bernard Cornwell (and Netflix series) about a young Saxon boy who was kidnapped and raised by the Danes. When he grows up he returns to fight for (a grown up) King Alfred. There is a lot of character crossover at this point. It's maybe 20? 25? years later than Vikings. Son of the Norse January 1, 2018 Share January 1, 2018 Still don't see how this would tie in. Different networks, different writers. Sounds like a Netflix show that was created to ride the coat tails of Vikings success on History Chanel. :) Link to comment
Haleth January 1, 2018 Share January 1, 2018 I think it was more that Netflix was capitalizing on the popularity of the books. There is no official tie in. They are two shows using the same historical figures and events, so it's natural to conflate the two. Link to comment
