Played by ageless wonder Shemar Moore, he's the kickass leader of the SWAT unit that puts fear in every criminal's eyes, but Hondo's also got his sensitive side. The quote comes from the Pilot, where Hondo asserts he was made SWAT leader because the LAPD "wanted a mascot". As they'll soon find out, he's anything but a mascot.
