formerlyfreedom June 1, 2017 Share June 1, 2017 Brendan Fraser is on board. Quote Fraser will portray J. Paul Getty’s eccentric private investigator and master fixer James Fletcher Chace, who hails from Texas. The ten-episode drama — which is executive-produced by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) and premieres in January — also stars Donald Sutherland (as J. Paul Getty) and Hilary Swank (as J. Paul Getty III’s mother Gail). 2 Link to comment

scrb March 23, 2018 Share March 23, 2018 Not a positive review from the Hollywood Reporter. Main complaint is that these characters are not likable and hence not watchable. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/trust-review-1095616 Not a lot of reviews yet but the RottenTomatoes Top Critics score isn't that good. Apparently they previewed the first 3 episodes directed by Boyle to the critics. Link to comment
ElectricBoogaloo April 2, 2018 Share April 2, 2018 (edited) The story behind Brendan Fraser's brilliant oddball character on Trust If you're having trouble keeping everyone on the show, here's a partial list including side by side photos of the real life people and the actors in character. SunnyBeBe April 2, 2018 Share April 2, 2018 (edited) You would think this series would be riveting. I wish I liked it more. I've been doing online reading to refresh my memory of the kidnapping, as it occurred when I was a child. Of course, the names are well known. Edited April 2, 2018 by SunnyBeBe Link to comment
PipPop April 3, 2018 Share April 3, 2018 Den of Geek posted a largely positive review of episode 2. They mentioned my favorite bit about the episode, which is the way that Fletcher Chace (Brendan Fraser) breaks the fourth wall to talk directly to the audience. http://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/trust/272244/trust-episode-2-review-lone-star AV Club rates episode 2 as a B+, and has a lot of praise for Brendan Fraser: https://www.avclub.com/brendan-fraser-and-danny-boyle-make-a-winning-team-in-t-1824217856 The New York Times also had a positive review, here: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/01/arts/television/trust-recap-lone-star-fx.html Brendan Fraser and director Danny Boyle discuss why they opted to have Fraser's character break the fourth wall: http://www.indiewire.com/2018/04/brendan-fraser-trust-fx-interview-danny-boyle-1201945880/ Another mainly positive review of episode 2 here: https://www.tvfanatic.com/2018/04/trust-season-1-episode-2-review-lone-star/ 1 Link to comment
