EastEnders now available in the US

In case you haven't realized, current EastEnders episodes are now available for streaming in the US through the new BritBox service. I'm enjoying it.

Thanks! I actually waited to get Britbox until Coronation Street was picked up. I do enjoy seeing some of the same characters as are on the PBS reruns, ten years later.

I just signed up now that you can't access iPlayer without registering on the BBC website.  I am enjoying the service so far, too.

So far the BBC website has let me skip the signing in and registering but as soon as they actually say I need to, I will be signing up for this.

There hasn't been a new episode on BritBox since 12/29. They also didn't have part 1 of the 2 parter for several days. I called their tech support and they said there was a known issue getting the episodes. Maybe they should check YouTube...

EDIT: They are up now! I can catch up this weekend!

PBS used to show 2 episodes of Eastenders at 11PM Sundays, but that ended about 8 months ago. The episodes were up to about August 2005 I believe. Huge fan of the series for many years, glad I recorded many episodes from that era.

Various PBS channels around the country show EastEnders but because they only show two eps a week and the actual show runs like 5+ episodes a week in the UK, the time gap keeps growing. If you catch an episode on PBS stateside it's likely from the mid-2000s (lol they all use flip phones).

I started watching the "current" eps on Britbox and it was fun to see which characters were still around, how they've changed or aged, etc.
