S03.E08: The Unkindest Cut

This episode had some of the best music this season. I loved both Jamal and Nessa's songs this week.

Andre and Nessa crossed a good few lines this week but I really like their team up though. They just work so well together and while it was unfair they went after her child, that racist society lady really grated in this episode.

Jamal needs to get his shit together, even if he wrote the perfect diss track for Lucuious this week.

Cookie didn't really have too much this week but Hakeem at least picked up on Andre/Nessa's scheming.

Interesting scenes with Lucious/Anika/Leah/Tariq this week as well, 8/10

Just catching up on this ep. 

Yeah, it was fucked up the little (white) girl had her hair (fictionally) lopped off, and it will be traumatic for her. 

and

Please let us remember that in real life, little (black) girls are derided and demonized by this society about their ACTUAL &  AUTHENTIC hair, which also causes emotional trauma, but no one seems as inscensed about that. 

And to compare having one's hair unwillingly chopped off is a far, far stretch from molestation or sexual assault.

Until Anika gets what she deserves for killing Rhonda and Rhonda's baby, I have no use for this show. You can't just drop that story line. I get pissed off every time I see her face.
