Michel August 22, 2016 Share August 22, 2016 Hi. Contrasted with Michaela, I was likely cast to be the resident "mad black woman." She wants to play like a mix of Spencer and Tasha from Cagayan. Given how their games ended for them, that's not a ringing endorsement. Link to comment
LadyChatts August 26, 2016 Share August 26, 2016 I share one thing in common with her. Her inspiration in life is her grandmother who "spread love through her cooking." That sums up how it was with my gramma. Spencer played a better game during Cagayan than he did in Cambodia, but I never thought Tasha was the strategic type. But I thought she tanked during Cambodia, so maybe that's clouding my judgement from Cagayan. Anyway, Ciandre seems nice. From her video and interviews I've read, I like her so far. Link to comment
LadyChatts September 22, 2016 Share September 22, 2016 Going by one of Rachel's interviews, I'm assuming she was targeted as being close to Rachel. It would have been nice for TPTB to maybe show a little more to that dynamic, because that vote really came out of nowhere. Unless they couldn't get their #blindside so they went for a #almostblindside, and that's why we saw so little of her or the tribe talking about splitting the vote between her and Rachel. KimberStormer October 6, 2016 Share October 6, 2016 So is "CeCe" a "self-appointed" nickname? Should we be calling her Ciandre instead, to express our disapproval? I fear she is one of those frustrating players who never do anything for themselves. "Nobody comes to me to tell me what is going on," well yes it's a bad sign, but why do people have to come to you? Why not come to them? 2 Link to comment
LadyChatts October 13, 2016 Share October 13, 2016 I think CeCe is going to float to the end. Her name has come up at every TC so far, and yet, she manages to survive. All the while, she looks lost. She seems very nice, for what we've seen of her. But she really doesn't seem to know what's going on around her. Just being told 'vote this way', and she does. Link to comment
jsm1125 October 20, 2016 Share October 20, 2016 I wanted her to have more agency in her own gameplay than she actually did. 2 Link to comment
hincandenza October 21, 2016 Share October 21, 2016 Honestly, after 32 seasons of "Survivor", if you can't a) make a fire, or b) swim better than a dogpaddling toddler, you really shouldn't be on the show. 1 Link to comment
LadyChatts October 21, 2016 Share October 21, 2016 Here's one of CeCe's exit interviews where she addressed the WOC being among the first 5 voted off (she thinks the only thing that will hurt Michaela is if she's too vocal with what's on her mind): http://xfn-blogs.xfinity.com/tv/2016/10/20/survivor-castaway-cece-trying-get-rid-strong-women/ Quote Holmes: There’s been a disturbing trend this season with four of the first five eliminations being women of color. What is your take on that? Taylor: I always have that feeling every season. It comes down to numbers. It’s visible on TV, you see there are two black people or two Asians. So, even if people are not saying it, it’s definitely in people’s minds. Especially as a minority. I don’t think it’s deliberate. We had such a diverse season. It was great to see. I really think it came down to that they were trying to get rid of the strong women who could change the game later on. If you look at the ones that were voted out; Lucy had a voice, Mari had a voice. They were trying to get out the ones who could cause some trouble. Link to comment
