Charmed: Elimination Games

Since we have a few people here again (yay!), I thought I'd try to start up an episode elimination game. The rules are simple: Just vote against the three episodes you most want---or least DON'T want, as is often the case---to be eliminated! I'll count the votes once a day and get rid of the episodes which have the most votes against them. Once about half the list is eliminated, we shift to voting against just two. Once we have just five or so left, we shift to voting against just one. 

 

It probably makes sense to do just one season at a time, right?! After we've done each season, we can have a 'best of the best' tournament where the top five episodes from each season go head to head :)

This looks like a lot of fun even though it's going to be a challenge! I love so many of the episodes. Even the episodes that I know aren't good are sometimes ones that I feel nostalgic about.

Thank You for Morphing is history! We already have our first tiebreaker: it's between The Wedding from Hell and Out of Sight. Since so few of us are voting, I'll end the tiebreaker after just one vote: so as soon as some lovely person swoops in to eliminate either Wedding from Hell or Out of Sight, that episode will be eliminated! (Even if you voted in the regular round, you CAN absolutely still cast the tiebreaker!)

 

Normally, if so few people were around to play, I'd think there was no real point in playing the game. But I'm so into Charmed lately that I'll very happily keep running it as long as anyone other than me shows up to vote :)

So, um, it turns out we were at the point of the game where we eliminate THREE, not two, so that tiebreaker wasn't even necessary...if only the Halliwells could cast a spell to replace my rapidly dwindling brain power :) The next round is open, and we're voting against three...and will eliminate three as well!

3) Dead Man Dating (This one actually has some great scenes, but I think I love the others that remain even more, and DMD did suffer a bit from that beginning-of-series clunky awkwardness!)

I've Got You Under My Skin and The Fourth Sister are history, but we have a tie for that third and final elimination spot between Feats of Clay and Dead Man Dating! Just vote for the one of those three that you most want eliminated. I'll end this after the FIRST vote :) 

 

(I have a bizarre amount of love for Feats of Clay, by the way...I have odd taste!)

I'll echo 4eva's votes, so those episodes are gone---and the next round is open! 

 

I always thought I was the only one who wouldn't put That '70s Episode in my top five, by the way. I'd actually expected that one to win S1!

Sorry for the delay---I was away for a few days! I'll cast my vote against From Fear to Eternity too (though I love the episode...and it's one of my favorite episode titles!), so that one is eliminated, and we're on to our final three...

Ah, season 2...so many episodes that I don't particularly care about one way or the other, and a handful that I love beyond reason! For me, it's less consistently good than S1 but with higher high points.
