Will an American ever actually complete the course?

My gut feeling is no.  Unless the impossible Stage 3 is "dumbed down" and made simpler.

The follow up question could be "will a female competitor ever make the finals"?

I don't see why an American competitor can't beat the entire course.  The last two times ANW happened I think a competitor beat the Ultimate Cliffhanger only to get beat by a later obstacle via a technique mistake. They weren't out of gas, they just made a mistake or didn't know how to do a particular obstacle.

The Japanese version replaced it's version of the Cliffhanger after it's course got beaten. It's basically the version of the Cliffhanger that preceded the Ultimate Cliffhanger, but then to dismount you have to swing backwards and catch another Cliffhanger beam about four feet behind you.  I wonder if the ANW version will stick with the Ultimate until the course gets beaten completely.
